  1. Here's a thought: God wants to save your enemies.

That is very true and something He impressed on me at the time of 9/11.

As it came out that it was terrorists who hit us on that day, I started to pray for the destruction of islam so that they could no more hurt people. As I prayed, the Lord impressed on me that I was praying wrongfully. That what I should pray for is that no more folks get hurt but that also those stuck in islam get saved themselves. That their salvation is truly the best means by which terrorism can be stopped.

That came up again not long ago. We attended a new church that we were thinking of joining. They mentioned during the service a fresh attack by Hamas on Israel. They prayed for the salvation of Jews and the destruction of the terrorists. Not once did they pray for the salvation of terrorists or palestinians.

Jesus died for the sins of the world. He came to restore all of us to Him. The enemies of Israel, the enemies of the USA, your personal enemy, all of them also need Jesus to be saved.

Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. Who among us does?

Very true Ayin, we need to pray for their salvation, if they are destroyed the devil wins if they are saved he loses.

  2. Hi,

My half brother doesn't speak or contact me at all, he claims it is all my fault, I ruined his life I was born. He is 6 years older than me. His brother my own half brother died at the age of forty, I half a half sister who is 20 years older Than me whom I have a very good relationship with.

Not very long after asking Jesus into my life God asked me to forgive everyone who had hurt me, friends family and there were particular people my brother being one, my mother another. I have to admit that I nearly choked the first time I prayed it, but I prayed it faithfully every night until it was about 3 weeks later that I realised that I had actually forgiven them and God told me I didn't need to pray that prayer anymore, He healed my heart for me. Praise God.

I still don't have a relationship with my brother, I probably never will unless he comes to know Jesus. I have accepted that and continue to pray for him, it's so sad that is how he feels.

I also had to forgive myself within all of this, as there were bound to be things that I had done that didn't help.

I pray for all of those out here Lord that have been hurt by family members, we know you understand all of this and ask your guidance, comfort and love in these situations. Heal the broken hearts dear Lord, in your name and for your glory. Amen

  3. Isn't the lottery gambling ??.

I used to do the lottery before I was saved. But once saved God had me give it up. There are many people out there who end up in a financial mess because they are waiting for the big win that will change their lives. he only way your life will change for the better is if God is in control.

  4. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone on worthy

    A Happy New Year

2008 may have been a bad year for you but that doesn't mean 2009 will be.

Remember if God is for you who can be against you.

    Much love

    your sister in christ

  5. Received this funny email -

After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet", which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form and then the pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.

Never let it be said that ground crew lacks a sense of humour!! : )

Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by Qantas pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded by the maintenance engineers (marked with an M).

P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement.

M: Almost replaced left inside main tyre.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.

M: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

    P: Something loose in cockpit.

    M: Something tightened in cockpit.

    P: Dead bugs on windshield.

M: Live bugs on back order.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent.

M: Cannot produce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.

    M: Evidence removed.

    P: DME volume unbelievably loud.

M: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.

    M: That's what they're for.

    P: 1FF inoperative.

M: 1FF always inoperative in OFF mode.

    P: Suspected crack in windshield.

    M: Suspect you're right.

    P: Number 3 engine missing.

M: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

    P: Aircraft handles funny.

M: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious.

    P: Target radar hums.

M: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

    P: Mouse in cockpit.

    M: Cat installed.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.

M: Took hammer away from midget.

Oh this so appeals to me. :noidea:
