  1. That is very true and something He impressed on me at the time of 9/11. As it came out that it was terrorists who hit us on that day, I started to pray for the destruction of islam so that they could no more hurt people. As I prayed, the Lord impressed on me that I was praying wrongfully. That what I should pray for is that no more folks get hurt but that also those stuck in islam get saved themselves. That their salvation is truly the best means by which terrorism can be stopped. That came up again not long ago. We attended a new church that we were thinking of joining. They mentioned during the service a fresh attack by Hamas on Israel. They prayed for the salvation of Jews and the destruction of the terrorists. Not once did they pray for the salvation of terrorists or palestinians. Jesus died for the sins of the world. He came to restore all of us to Him. The enemies of Israel, the enemies of the USA, your personal enemy, all of them also need Jesus to be saved. Jesus told us to pray for our enemies. Who among us does? Very true Ayin, we need to pray for their salvation, if they are destroyed the devil wins if they are saved he loses.
  2. Hi, My half brother doesn't speak or contact me at all, he claims it is all my fault, I ruined his life I was born. He is 6 years older than me. His brother my own half brother died at the age of forty, I half a half sister who is 20 years older Than me whom I have a very good relationship with. Not very long after asking Jesus into my life God asked me to forgive everyone who had hurt me, friends family and there were particular people my brother being one, my mother another. I have to admit that I nearly choked the first time I prayed it, but I prayed it faithfully every night until it was about 3 weeks later that I realised that I had actually forgiven them and God told me I didn't need to pray that prayer anymore, He healed my heart for me. Praise God. I still don't have a relationship with my brother, I probably never will unless he comes to know Jesus. I have accepted that and continue to pray for him, it's so sad that is how he feels. I also had to forgive myself within all of this, as there were bound to be things that I had done that didn't help. I pray for all of those out here Lord that have been hurt by family members, we know you understand all of this and ask your guidance, comfort and love in these situations. Heal the broken hearts dear Lord, in your name and for your glory. Amen
  3. Hi, I have just read through most of these answers which are very good advice, one thing I don't think I saw was to ask if you have forgiven her, I personally would pray and forgive her then ask God how to deal with it. Hope this helps
  4. Hi, I haven't read all the posts but have you thought of fostering???? Or Sunday school/ creche helper or something along those lines????? 8. Hi, Since they have changed the forum looks, and I like it, I cant seem to tell which topics I have replied on like I used to before. Is there a new way of telling, if so what is it?????
  9. Thank you Victor for your wonderful testimony, but you are right we must step outside the church to do Gods work. I pray God will bless you as you minister to those children and that their hearts will be willing to receive from God what He wants to give them. I pray also for the christians in the neighbourhood that they will be convicted, for their attitude and find it in their hearts to help. I thank God that His mercies are new every morning, and that there but for the grace of God go I. I praise you O Lord for what you have done already You are truly awesome. Amen
  10. Hi I have ringing in my ears, dr's call it tinnitus I am virtually deaf in one ear and have only had a computer for a year, and tinnitus for over 18 years, I guess over the years I have gotten used to it. It an be really annoying at times it is usually worst when it is very quiet like first thing in the morning or last thing at night when everything is switched off. My son will often say to me "can you hear that noise what is it?" me "what noise" but I can't hear it only the ringing in my ears, sometimes it gets a bit quieter but it is always there. I dont like wearing earplugs as I don't like not being able to hear, even though my hearing is rubbish lol. But I might try the vitamins. Thanks
  11. Should Christians watch supernatural-themed television programs? I noticed this line in your question its about these supernatural programmes as oppsed to ordinary stuff on tv, yes?? Personally that is the same as the occult, they are opening doors that should be left alone. My answer would be I would not watch it at all, big KEEP AWAY sign for me.
  12. So glad to hear you have come through such an awful time. Praise God. You are a living testimony to what God can and will do when you let Him get involved.
  13. Yes David I do, Ask God what He wants you to do. If He has someone for you then He will bring her to you. I asked God but am still on my own and I think that it is going to stay that way for me. But you may be different. I would always ask God into the situation though. Sorry to hear that you are on your own. I know what that is like. It would be a lot worse without God in my life though. Many Blessings
