  1. Hello, I had to read your questions a couple times but I think I get what your asking. The majkority of my friends are not Christians, and yes, many statements are made that are untrue. There are times when I just listen and there are times where I will answer according to the Truth that I know in my life. They've known me for a while, even when I was being rebellious to God. So they know I'm not going to point my finger at them when they do talk of their own perceptions of what the truth is. Basically, I play it by ear each and everytime we are together. To me, "playing it by ear," is keeping open to what the Spirit has me do. I really believe that even if the things they share with me are off, I also know that they do appreciate someone who will listen. And sometimes, that means not getting into a debate, but simply to listen to them. I believe I answered both of your questions. I did the best I could. God bless, Randal Hello treetopflyer: I really like your reply. I need to listen more. My wife tells me that ALL the time. May the Lord be with us, charlesj p.s. I live on the N.E. side of San Antonio near Windcrest. How about you? (cjemeyson@satx.rr.com)
  2. God is nothing but thoughts and his first creation was light energy that we know as the Word. This is the power God needed to create everything else within his thoughts. We are told that we're created in the image of God so we are thoughts, also known as the heart, mind and soul of a man. We never leave God but we need a body to experience our thoughts. Our brains are the processor of our thoughts and this is what makes our bodies function according to God's plans in our thoughts. Think of our bodies as a puppet and our thoughts in God are the strings that make it move, talk, see, hear, smell, taste and touch. We're a lot like how a computer works. Our bodies are the mainframe with memory and a processor and all the perifils attached to it. The program, harddrive and power is the power of God and our created thoughts. The computer can't function without this power and information. By the way, there is no hell. This word came from other words describing the graveyard where our bodies are thrown after God stops the flow of our thoughts. Our bodies are always dead atoms but when the thoughts are coming into our brains, then our bodies respond to them. When our thoughts are stopped by God, then our bodies can't function anymore, even though they still have all the atoms there to make it look like a body. Here's what Jesus said about our bodies. John 6 63: It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh is of no avail; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64: But there are some of you that do not believe." For Jesus knew from the first who those were that did not believe, and who it was that would betray him. 65: And he said, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father." Hello Caste: Elohim is more than just "thoughts." The scriptures say that "God is Spirit." Anyway, this isn't the subject. If someone wants to start a subject "God is thoughts" ... have at it. LOL You quoted John 6. I am going to do about the same only I will use the Complete Jewish Bible. It's not a whole lot different, but sometimes it gets a little deeper than the normal Bible. "52
  3. Hello "Your friend Jacob"... Yes, God is just and also loving and it's His Grace that He has provided us with salavation through His Son the Messiah. I'm kind of wondering if you are applying your statement of a "just God" to the subject? I am guessing you are saying that our "Just God" will take care of things regardless of how we die? (wicked or saved). Anyway, it's good to know I have a friend named "Jacob." (What a wonderful name)... May the Lord be with you, Charles
  4. Hello autumn8484: You question reminds me of another question some ask, "did Adam have a navel?" LOL. It doesn't make any difference. We are to teach/preach the gospel. This is where mankind
  5. Hello BibleSEO: Original sin is something that "man" has come up with. God does NOT charge me with the sins of my dad, nor of my dad's dad. You can take this all wth way back to Adam. Now, Adam did bring "death" upon all mankind, but not his sin. I am a sinner because I sinned. Newborn babies DO NOT HAVE SIN. At some point in life a child will know right from wrong and sin eventually. Gnostics believed that the flesh was "good for nothing." (Completely evil) That's one of the reasons they had problems with the idea of "God in the Flesh" (Jesus). This where the idea of "born in sin" (flesh) comes from. John (and the 1st century Christians) were having problems with the Gnositics. ONe of the ways you could point out a Gnostic in John's day (we dont' have these problems today as most will confess Jesus has come in the flesh) was to ask "do you belive that Jesus has come in the flesh?" (1John 4:2ff) Augustine promoted the "original sin" idea and later, John Calvin. Today, most people will fight you if you tell them "I wasn't born in sin." Most believe this lie. Will this lie take you to hell? I don't know, but I do want TRUTH. May the Lord be with you, Semper Fi, Charles Jemeyson cjemeyson@satx.rr.com Hello charlesj, If I may...Paul tells us in Romans 7 that we do indeed have sin dwelling in us, in our very flesh. 13 Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God
  6. Thanks Charles. But I disagree with you. Romans 5:12 - "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--" You agreed that Death entered the world through Adam, but Death was direct result of Adam's Sin (Rom 5:12). So, according to that logic, someone who have not sinned should not die. Now, you also brought point about Newborn Babies are without sin. So, this should mean that Newborn babies MUST NEVER DIE AS BABIES. (But we see entirely different picture in the world, when millions of babies die every year due to mal-nourishment or other reasons!) Anyways, the question for this post was not about 'Original Sin', but the existence of Evil and Sin, when God created Man. Thanks. Hello again BibleSeo: Sin did enter the world and brought death from Adam as Paul said. He didn't say "sin passed on from Adam." Adam did bring "death" upon the whole human race, those without sin (babies) and to those who lived as adults experience death. Babies, sometimes, experience the "death" penalty and they die without sin in their life. I hope you wouldn't tell a woman whose baby died in the womb that her child is in hell because of Adam?? All humans have the death penalty because of Adam, but not the sin penalty. If you really believe that sin is passed on to all humans, then you MUST have a problem with the birth of Christ who was born of a woman (human)? You have a problem unless you are Catholic who realized the problem and make the birth an Immaculate Conception. They (Catholics) then make Mary a perpetual virgin. LOL If you read further in the verse you quoted, Paul says,

  8. Hello Kross: We can all know.... just read the history of the fall of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. That is what Christ was speaking on in Matthew 24:36. He returned in the form of an army, that is, when Titus destroyed the temple & Jerusalem in 70 A.D. your servant in Messiah, Jesus the Christ, charlesj "..the sum of thy word is truth." Ps 119:160
  9. So this verse has nothing to do with the 2nd coming? Man: This verse, in context of this chapter, is speaking of the destruction of Jerusalem. It was the "end of the age." It was the last day of the last days. Many think that the age ended at the cross, but I am of the opinion that this was the "final" string that was tied and ended it all. To any Jew of that time, for the temple & Jerusalem to be destroyed, it was the end of the world to him. Hope this makes sense. your servant in Messiah, charlesj
  10. Hello man..... (thanks for the question) NO, the second coming has NOT taken place. Did Jesus come in 70 A.D.? Yes Jesus came in the form of an army (this is not the 2nd coming) led by General Titus. He came "in the clouds".... you see this term over and over again in prophetic language to indicate an army that God is using. When you see "coming in clouds" look for an army God is using. We look for our Lord's return. And accoridng to the apostle Paul "... For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. " -1Cor 15:21-26 your servant in Messiah, charlesj
  11. Explain please. Hello man (adam): Rather than go through the whole chapter of Matthew 24, I am going to "paste" something I wrote about 15 years ago. Signs of Impending Destruction A VERSE BY VERSE LOOK AT MATTHEW 24 OF THE SIGNS. Messiah Jesus is asked the question:
  12. Read that verse again. It says "no man" and "not the angels of heaven". It doesn't say that Christ doesn't know. John 10 30 I and My Father are one. Just a thought. ....no man, ....no angel, .....but my Father ONLY! I and My Father are one. The bible does not say that Christ knew the hour. We do have the bible telling us Chirst Words, "no man, no angel, but my Father only." To say that Christ knew, then you have to add to the scripture. I really don't care if He knew or not... LOL The problem is that people take what He said "out of context" and apply it to the end of the world. When He spoke it, He was speaking of 70 A.D. your servant in Christ, charlesj
  13. Read that verse again. It says "no man" and "not the angels of heaven". It doesn't say that Christ doesn't know. John 10 30 I and My Father are one. Just a thought. ....no man, ....no angel, .....but my Father ONLY!
  14. Hello Sweety Cakes: Here in Matthew 24 Jesus is warning His disciples of the destruction of Jerusalem. This took place in 70 A.D. The Bible tells us that God "prepared a body" (Heb 10:5) for Christ.. that is, God came into a body (in human form). While in this body, He was a little lower than the angels (Psalms 8:5; Heb 2:7,0). In this state (human form) He may not have known all things. It was AFTER His resurrection that He ascended and was returned to His former Glory. He did come back (70 A.D.) in the form of an army led by General Titus. God destroyed the city & temple. God told them there wouldn't be one stone that wasn't overturned. He destroyed all their records, therefore the Levitical Priesthood was lost. They will NEVER return as they were under David as a nation. Oh, yes, they call themselves Israel today, but there is nothing special about them, they are just like any other nation. When you see the term "last days" in the N.T., it doesn't always mean the "end of time," but it may mean the "time of the end." The time of the end speaks of the end of the Jewish economy (Jewish Nation). There is a great difference between the end of time and the time of the end. When you see phrases like "sun darkened, moon shall not give light & stars falling" don't think this is speaking of the end of time (end of the world), but is used (more than once) in prophetic language to tell you a government is fixing to fall. The heavely elements discribe the heads of a nation. For example, take a look at Genesis 37 where Joseph had a dream (Gen 37:9ff) of the of the sun, moon and stars bowing down to him. Later he discussed this dream with he dad (Jacob). Jacob rebuked him and told him,

  16. I keep reading this and have come to the same conclusion. God does have a spirit relationship with those other than christians. I see different groups of people here: Group 1: God pours his spirit out on ALL FLESH (Not Just Christians but ALL FLESH) Group 2: Your sons and daughters will prophesy (speaking to God's people) Group 3: Young men shall see visions (speaking to God's people) Group 4: Old men shall dream dreams (speaking to God's people) Why would ALL FLESH (human beings) be written if God didn't mean ALL? To me, this means that God can and will speak and talk with those other than Christians. i disagree that these are different groups...this is a prophesy that He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh that they then may move in His Spirit...God pours His Spirit on ALL people it is then up to them to accept it and take up the mantle set before them. Hello MIke: When you look at the text that is spoken on in Acts 2, you will find out that up until chapter 10 it is ALL Jewish. In other words, for the first 8 years, there were nothing but Jews in the church. In the first two chapters, the apostles are spoken to and NOT some group 2100 years later, but to a group of Jews who followed the Messiah in the first century. I shouldn't really say "Jews" as they were Christians. But to identify them rather than Gentiles, I called them Jews. Of course, everything we have today came from the Jew. Jesus was a Jew, our bible is written by Jews etc. Thank the Lord for the Jews. What brought you to the U.S.? My youngest son is about your age. I have two sons, one 39 & the other 34. Both are like their dad and involved in computers. I am retired from IBM. (Field Engineer). My oldest son is a CEO for a very large communications company and the other works in the oil field computers dept. I read your profile, what does COC stand for? You can send me a pm if you want so not to tie this thread up. I will be out of town (fishing) for a week, but will answer you when I get back sometimes next week. My wife (Crystal) and I go to a state park a lot. I have a 27 ft trailer that I pull behind my truck and we generally stay at least a week or so. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findade...mustang_island/ Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you, Your servant in Christ, (We call him Jesus, but most likely it should be Yeshua or Yahshua) Semper Fi, charlesj
  17. Hello again: Where does it say in the Bible that God conditions the heart? This idea comes from John Calvin (1509-1564), not the Bible. Most church groups teach the doctrines of Calvin. (Some don't even know it) Jesus brought the revelation of the Lord to the world and now it's recorded for our benefit. (Bible) There is only ONE way that one comes to the Lord and that is through the Gospel. If one obeys the gospel, then they become a Christian and are added to the church (Acts 2:47). According to Jesus, some will hear and nothing happens, some will take the Word and produce little and then the devil takes it away, some hear, receive the Word with joy, but because they have no root, they fall away, ...but some hear the Word and bring forth much fruit. (Luke 8:11ff) You said you "...don't know what I'm talking about..." Are you a young Christian? I get the idea that you think I am being ugly to you. I hope not. your servant in the Messiah, Semper Fi, charlesj
  18. I have read what you have stated, but your point has not yet been made. The fact is no one can even hear the Gospel without God conditioning their heart to hear it. It is by God and God alone that the revelation of the Son comes in. If God did not speak to unbelievers then how is it we now believe? I will stick to this point. Honestly, I dont know what you are talking about with the rest of your statements, so I will wait to respond if the Lord so requires one. All I can add is that God spoke to me, not in some audible voice or vision, but directly to my heart. It was by Him that I came to truly entrust myself to Him. ruck1: Notice how the gospel is delivered and the authority, of Jesus, of His apostles & the Bible. Now we ONLY have the bible as our source of study. ALLENGIENCE TO GOD 1. Let
