Its just silly. Why set a day aside for blasphemy? Your either a christian or your not. If your a christian would you still be if you just went all crazy on that day? If blasphemy day didnt exist in scripture then blasphemy day itself is a blasphemy.

It seems like some are running away from their christian heritage almost like they are embarrased. USA was founded on christian values, but I guess in order to be more 'global' and earn that international money they are willing to trade values for cash.

Well i guess your talking about being judged by other people.

It used to bother me, when I was younger. It would sting, and depending on the situation, i would feel the need to challenge the person on why they are judging me, or to give them another point of view.

But now, to be honest, it doesnt bother me much at all. This is because I am only accountable to my God, he is the only one whome can judge. I practice virtues of faith, love, compassion, generosity. I feel a closeness with God, and am accoutable to him. Why should i fear the judgment of man? Who can judge but God only?

In my opinion, it seems he expected something from Jesus in return for his Faith. This goes against what fiath is. So no wonder this poor gentlemen is lost.

Im impressed by everyones knowledge of scripture, I am humbled to offer my 2 cents.

When he says 'thou hatest all workers of iniquity', it makes me think the 'workers' are the evil deeds, ie, the evil works themselves. Not neccisarily the person.

This is a great question and I dont have a straight answer. Its been interesting reading peoples replies.

In my mind it brought up the baptism of Jesus.

When he approached john, john said something like, 'behold the lamb of god, who takes away the sins of the world, indeed i have baptised you with water, but HE shall baptise you with the holy ghost'.

Does this quote reveal anyting? it sure makes me think.
