Marv, this is my view of the 2 resurrections. The first resurrection happens at the end of the tribulation,at the second comming of the Lord. Call it rapture,call it the first resurrection,call it the catching away,it doesn't matter it's all the same thing.The Lord will descend from the sky with the trump of God,bringing the spirits of the one's that have died prior to this with Him. Then the dead bodies will rise from the grave,and the rest of the believers that are alive at that time, will join them in the air to receive their immortal bodies. We go with the Lord as he descends on the Mount of Olives to begin the 1000 year reign on this Earth. During the 1000 year reign the Lord will destroy all enemies of righteousness and Israel . After the 1000 years are finished,prior to the new heavens and new Earth, will be the second resurrection,which is the rest of the dead. They will rise to be judged and receive their immortal bodies,some to join in joy's of the Lord,some to be doomed forever in torment. Notice the Book of Life is also opened at this second resurrection,if only the doomed were at this resurrection, they're would be no need for the Book of Life,only the books that contain the record of evil deeds . Marv I know I don't understand all the end time writings,that's why I still study and listen to what others have to say about the subject.The only view I can find nothing about in the Bible,is another resurrection (for the rapture to happen with) prior to the 2 I have listed The Words of our Lord on resurrection: Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Bet the Christians in China or Iran dont buy into a pretrib rapture. Jesus says the resurrection is the last day what comes after the last day....

You make a valid point. None of us is perfect, so naturally there will be short comings in the church. What we do about it in answer? Pray and strive as we should in our daily lives to erradicate sin from it. May God Bless You Dani Sure agree with these posts.

Male leadership? too many men fail today..and we( women) are too quick to jump in..... Look at our world it is out of wack...Men need to lead. Christianity was/is considered sissy, for women etc... Christianity is truly anything but sissy. Read of the martyrs no sissys male or female there. We ( Christians in general) have becomes complacent. We know better then the Creator what we need or need do. He has laid out the rolls we should follow Him, not this missed up world. Women who understand who they are in Christ. Pro 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Yes from where we set is was wrong..... God sent Jesus Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The plan of salvation was set long ago.... Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. God often uses people The Jewish leaders of 2000 years ago plotted with the Romans to kill Jesus. Yet we know Jesus laid down His life for our salvation. the Jewish leaders and Romans where the tools used to do the job.... Joh 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. Joh 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
