  1. Psalm 1:2,3 - "in His law he MEDITATES day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper." There are specifically three areas of meditation that we can engage in as Believers so that our heart and mind will be captured in the glory of Who God is. These areas include the Word of God, the voice of God, and the testimonies of God. 1. The Word of God: – Cleanses, purifies, and protects the heart (Psalm 119:11) – Separates the soul and spirit (Hebrews 4:12) – Brings light of revelation, driving out the darkness (Psalm 119:130) – Washes by the Spirit (Ephesians 5:26) – Prospers our spirit, soul, and body (Deuteronomy 28:1-2) – Brings healing (Proverbs 4:22) – Revives (Psalm 119:25) 2. The Voice of God Another powerful area of meditation is the revelation that God gives to us through His voice speaking personally to us. How is God speaking to you? Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice...and they follow Me" (John 10:27). This is the next important step: to walk with God, hearing His voice. If we don't have expectation, then we have no faith to hear. And we must hear the voice of God to obey. Have faith that God wants to flow through your life to impact others. Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Our belief and faith give us the following action of diligent pursuit to lay hold of the reward that He has for us. Believe God, hear His voice, and diligently seek Him. 3. The Testimonies of What God Has Done What prayers has He answered in your life? What is your personal testimony of coming to Jesus Christ? Then we also have all of the testimonies of what God has done in the Bible. These are our own testimonies as well, through inheritance. We see it all through the Psalms, how we are to remember the works of the Lord. We should meditate on all the things that Jesus did in His earthly ministry: the miracles, healings, deliverances, including other acts of His love and truth. The Book of Acts is a book of the things God did, how He worked through His Church, showing He is alive and active. MAKING THE CONSCIOUS CHOICE The fact is that we are always meditating on something, thinking about something, or giving our thoughts over to something. Psalm 1 makes it clear that there is a right kind of meditation that God wants us to engage in. Choosing what we meditate on is hugely important because it is the difference between meditating and "communing" with the spirit of the world versus the Spirit of God. 2. Isaiah 35:8,10 - "And an highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called, the Highway of Holiness. And the ransomed of the Lord will return, And will come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away." WHAT ATTITUDE FILLS THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO WALK TOWARD HOLINESS? .....JOYFUL SHOUTING....EVERLASTING JOY UPON THEIR HEADS.....AND GLADNESS AND JOY. THE IMPRISONED, IMPOVERISHED STATE OF THIS WORLD HAS DECEIVED US INTO THINKING THAT A LIFE WITH GOD IS ONLY A LIFE OF PAIN. JESUS COMPARED HIS MINISTRY TO ONE WHO "PLAYED THE FLUTE" (MATTHEW 11:17). HE SAID HIS MESSAGE OF GRACE AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD, WHEN IT WAS PROPERLY HEARD, SHOULD CAUSE MEN TO "DANCE" IN CELEBRATION! THE SCRIPTURES TELL US THAT JESUS "REJOICED GREATLY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT" WHEN HIS DISCIPLES RETURNED FROM A POWERFUL TIME OF EVANGELISM (LUKE 10:21). THE WORD REJOICE THAT IS USED HERE MEANT "TO LEAP MUCH FOR JOY." JESUS, THE KING, WAS LEAPING FOR JOY! Matthew 13:3 - "And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow." As the Lord explained in the parable of the sower, words are also seeds. Seeds grow up to become plants that bear fruit. What is growing from our words? What will the FRUIT of our words be like? If we speak out bitterness, we are planting bitter fruit in the earth. If our words are filled with faith, hope, or love, we are planting trees that will one day bear the fruit of faith, hope, and love in the earth. AFFIRMATIONS: I realize that like seeds, words are very likely to multiply. I consider each day that my words will bear fruit. I determine that I will only sow that which brings forth the fruit of the Spirit. Proverbs 18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ" - 1 Corinthians 2:16 This is a cross-reference from Isaiah 40:13 which says: "Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor?". What Paul was trying to say is that along with the domain of the King comes the reality of our mind being merged with His! Under the law, no one could understand the mind of the Lord, but under grace, we have been given His very mind. This is the reality of a Kingdom Dweller. Our mind is no longer a battleground for the enemy, but a concourse for the Holy Ghost. According to 1 Corinthians 4:1, we are stewards of His mysteries! A steward literally means a governor. A kingdom must be in place for us to govern—and that Kingdom is His, and you are a governor of His mysteries on the earth! That being said, we no longer press in for more of what we don't have but learn all of WHO WE ARE IN CHRIST and OUR RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD which we have been granted through Christ Jesus' Blood! 3. "But the men who had gone up with him said, 'We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are.' And they spread among the Israelites an evil report about the land they had explored. They said, 'The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes and we looked the same to them.'" - Numbers 13:31-33 OBSERVATION: God will often ask us to do something that is bigger than we are. Just because God promises you something, that doesn't mean you won't have adversaries. If God asks you to do something that appears to be difficult, He is also giving you an anointing to overcome it. The Children of Israel, through their unbelief, determined how long they were in the wilderness. God never intended them to stay in the desert for 40 years. Colossians 1:12,13 - "Giving thanks unto the Father ...Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son." Many believers limit God without even realizing it by training their eyes on the limited resources of this world rather than the unlimited riches of God's Kingdom. Their faith fails when they think of the troubled economy on the earth or of the scarcity that surrounds them. The Bible says God has "delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son." To be translated means to be taken out of one place and put into another. In other words, your citizenship is not primarily of this earth...you are first and foremost a citizen of the Kingdom of God. That means this planet doesn't have any right to dictate to you whether your needs are met or not. The Bible says God will meet your needs according to His riches in glory! (Philippians 4:19) AFFIRMATIONS: I wake up to the fact that I've been translated out of a world of poverty into a kingdom of abundance. Heaven's unlimited resources are available to me! "...where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17)! Freedom is the key result of any Holy Spirit breakout. Let your faith rest in the anointing that destroys every yoke. Let your expectation be in the mighty arm of the Lord that is ready to move across the earth! The breakout of the Spirit like a flood upon this earth! There is about to be a "bursting forth of His Spirit" like a flood, like a flood of rushing rivers and every restraining factor – whether it be religion or tradition, or the Antichrist cultures of our day – and these things will bend and fold under the power and force of this breakout! The Holy Spirit is about to breakthrough the immunity to His presence that the Church has put in place (sometimes unwittingly) via religious rituals, traditions of men and inviting the spirit of the world in. He is going to "take over" and move by His Spirit like a flood. Everything that tries to stand in His way will get swept away by the force and velocity of His coming! How will this break out? It will break out of the Believers who are walking in their CALLING IN CHRIST and putting God first in everything! For doesn't His Word say that out of our hearts will flow rivers of living water (John 7:38)? That is why the Lord would have you decree over yourself Isaiah 61 in this season. Decree and declare it, for you are about to see the Spirit of the Lord breakout through you like a rushing river. Everything Isaiah 61 spells out, you will see take place by the Spirit of the Lord! "'For it's not by might nor by power, but BY MY SPIRIT,' SAYS THE LORD" (Zechariah 4:6). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  4. "Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance." - Psalm 89:15 Praise transports us into the realm of the supernatural and into the power of God. He eagerly awaits the fragrance of our affections, desiring to manifest His sweet presence and power in our midst. Praise is a "sacrifice," something that we offer to God sacrificially, not just because we feel like it, but because we believe in Him and wish to please Him. "By Him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name." - Hebrews 13:15 That being said, we need to understand that every attitude carries its own power and vibration which is recognizable in the realm of the spirit. It is not just an attitude... it is a force that wraps itself around a person like a coat that continually pulls a person deeper into its power until they are completely overtaken by it -- whether for good or bad. Every attitude we release is filled with powerful vibrations wrapping themselves around us like a garment, further enveloping us into its cocoon-like power. "For by your words you will be justified and acquitted [set free], and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced [condemned]..." - Matthew 12:37 Jesus was saying that the words we wrap ourselves in will either set us free or imprison us here in this life and in eternity to come! "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]." - Proverbs 18:21 CULTIVATING AN ENVIRONMENT OF THE GLORY OF GOD As we cultivate an environment of the Glory of God through High Praises the enemy will run from us, demons will automatically scatter, sickness and disease will lose their grip as they are demonically induced and will eventually fall away. As the Presence of God comes, the veil is stripped away and we are being transfigured from one degree of Glory and revelation to another by the Lord who is that Spirit (see 2 Corinthians 3:18). Satan becomes powerless to stop the renewal of the mind and the flow of revelation that comes to transform the person. He fears the power of the name of Jesus and runs from the presence of the Lord. "Who so offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God." - Psalm 50:23 "..when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten." - 2 Chronicles 20:22 When God's people begin to praise His name, it sends the enemy running! As you become a person of praise, you will experience the release of the power of God. THE RUAH SHOUT The Hebrew word "Ruah," which is the very breath of God, can also be translated, Shout. It is the same word used in Psalm 100:1 and Psalm 95:1 and translated shout joyfully and make a joyful noise. Other meanings include battle cry, shout of triumph, and sound an alarm. Ruah was used to denote any shout of joy or praise. In fact, in public worship, it would denote praise of the most animated kind, which always required a body function. One of those words is the word "Shabach" which means to shout in a loud address or tone. The priest blew the trumpets; the people raised a great shout of triumph, and praise; God's presence and power came down; and the walls of Jericho fell flat. When the praise went up the presence came down. It's interesting to note that it is the very breath of God (Ruah) that comes through the mouths of His people in the shout. He is the very breath (Ruah) of life living in us. When we shout unto God, it is literally God's breath and sound that are being exhaled into the atmosphere. Every created living thing recognizes the God-Sound vibration and responds. THE HIGH PRAISES OF GOD Praise is one of the highest weapons the Believer possesses. Through praise, battles have been won and nations conquered. David wrote: "Let the high praises of God be in their throats and a two-edged sword in their hands, To wreak vengeance upon the nations and chastisement upon the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron, To execute upon them the judgment written. He [the Lord] is the honor of all His saints. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)" - (Psalm 149:6-9). Let the "High Praises" of God be in your mouth – not the low praises. High praises are the release of THANKSGIVING and HONOR given directly to the Lord Jesus Christ. When we give Him the Glory due His name and begin to sing directly to Him instead of about Him, He comes with all of His Glory. As the high praises are in our mouths, the double-edged sword is automatically in our hands, to wreak vengeance upon nations, punishment upon enemies, to bind kings (demonic) with chains and fetters, and to execute judgment. For the Lord is the honor of all His saints! When the praises go up, the Glory comes down and every enemy of the saints is rendered powerless. Sickness, disease, poverty, lack must all bow to the mighty name of Jesus Christ. David wrote about many types of praise including high praises and joyful sounds. These are not just nice, descriptive words–they are powerful. THE JOYFUL SOUND "Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are the people who know the joyful sound.." - Psalm 89:15 Blessed are those who know the "Joyful Sound." What is the joyful sound? It's the sound of High Praise that brings the transforming Glory of God! In the joyful sound, God's friends rejoice all day long, for the Lord is their strength and they can walk with their faces lifted toward Him with no shame. The enemy cannot touch the warring praising saint, for his attention is on the loveliness and sweet attractiveness of the Lord and they walk in the Light of the Glory of God. No devil can follow you there! With our attitudes we are constantly attracting one of two kingdoms; either the Kingdom of light or the kingdom of darkness. All too often we are looking for some kind of super-spiritual answer or remedy to deliver us from our condition, when all we need to do is simply worship and praise our way through it. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  5. 2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." WE ARE TO BE TRANSFORMED "FROM GLORY TO GLORY." THIS INDICATES AN UNFOLDING PROCESS TO CHANGE US INTO HIS IMAGE. THIS IS NOT A PROCESS THAT WE CAN ENGINEER OR CONTROL, BUT IT IS "FROM THE LORD, THE SPIRIT." WE SUBMIT TO IT BY "BEHOLDING THE GLORY OF THE LORD." AS WE BEHOLD HIS GLORY, WE WILL BE CHANGED INTO HIS IMAGE. WHEN WE FALL INTO THE TRAP OF TRYING TO CHANGE OURSELVES, IT RESULTS IN LOOKING AT OURSELVES INSTEAD OF HIM. THIS WILL INEVITABLY LEAD TO THE BLACK HOLE OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS. EVEN AFTER WE ARE BORN AGAIN INTO THE LORD TRANSFORMATION NEEDS TO TAKE PLACE IN OUR LIVES. AS WE KEEP OUR ATTENTION ON HIM, WE WILL CHANGE, EVEN IF WE ARE OFTEN UNAWARE OF IT. Matthew 22:29 - "You are wrong because you know neither the scriptures nor God's power." In this passage, Jesus rebukes the Pharisees for their ignorance of the scriptures and God's power. What was the cause? They didn't allow the scriptures to lead them to God. They didn't understand......not really understand. The word "know" in this passage speaks of "personal experience." They tried to learn apart from such an experience. Their study didn't lead them to an encounter with God. It became an end in itself. Christianity is not a philosophy; it is a relationship. It's the "God encounter" that makes the concepts powerful. We must require this of ourselves. How? We must seek until we find. We must be moved with the love of God to the point that we seek His face until we are "clothed with power from on high!" Luke 11:10 - "For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door will be opened." AMP Psalm 141:3 - "Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips." Affirmation: THE WORLD IS LIKE A RUSHING RIVER, PULLING AT ME, TRYING TO GET ME TO FLOW WITH IT. I MAKE THE DECISION TODAY TO PADDLE UPSTREAM AGAINST THE CURRENT BY SPEAKING GOD'S WORD INTO MY LIFE. Proverbs 4:20 - "My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  6. Revelation 19:10 - "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." A testimony prophesies what is possible again. It declares another miracle is now available. It illustrates to all who will listen, the nature of God and His covenant with mankind. All He looks for is someone who will add his or her faith to the testimony given. Because He is no respecter of persons He will do for you what He did for another. Because He is the same today as yesterday, He is willing to do again what He did long ago. Revelation 4:1 - "After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, 'Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things."' That voice is still calling to all who will hear. There is a door open in heaven and the spirit is beckoning us to come up there. The ultimate quest of every Christian is to walk the earth from a position seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places. Therefore, our prayer must be the one that He taught His disciples, for His kingdom to come, and His will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). We can never be too heavenly minded. The true good that we are able to do on earth will be dependent on the degree to which we have attained the heavenly treasures. Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you". As soon as Paul saw the light from heaven above the brightness of the sun, he said, "Lord what wilt thou have me to do?" - Acts 19:6 And as soon as he was willing to YIELD he was in a condition where God could meet his need; where God could display His power; where God could have the man. The place of yeildedness is just where God wants us. When you begin yeilding and yielding to God He has a plan for your life, and you come in to that wonderful place where all you have to do is to eat the fruits of Canaan. It is God's CALLING on one's life that counts. Paul recognized the call of God. Paul's choice was to be a bondservant for Jesus Christ. "I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake." - Acts 19:6. Paul saw that these things were working out a far more exceeding weight of glory. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: Am I willing that God shall have His way today? Am I willing to follow Him -- will I obey Him? Am I willing to take the place of Paul, and yield and yield and yield, until God so possesses me in such a way that from my body virtue shall flow to the sick and suffering? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  7. 1 Corinthians 2:9 - "But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him." It has never entered our mind what God has prepared for us while on this earth. His intent is grand. Instead of confining ourselves by our imagination and experience, let's press on to a renewed hunger for things yet to be seen. As we pursue the Extravagant One with reckless abandon, we will discover that our greatest problem is the resistance that comes from between our ears. But faith is superior. And it's time for us to make Him unconcerned about whether or not He'll find faith on the earth. Luke 18:8 - "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" Colossians 3:16 - "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly." YOUR FIRST STEP IN DRAWING CLOSER TO GOD IS TO REALIZE THAT YOU KNOW GOD FIRST IN HIS WORD. TIME SPENT MEDITATING IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IS TIME SPENT WITH JESUS. MOST PEOPLE TRY TO KNOW HIM THROUGH THEIR FEELINGS AND THAT JUST WON'T WORK. LETTING THE WORD DOMINATE YOUR THINKING IS TO ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HAVE CONTROL OVER YOUR MIND. AS YOU DO THAT, YOUR FEELINGS WILL EVENTUALLY FALL IN LINE. Hebrews 3:13 - "But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Affirmations: I STIR UP MY FAITH AND EXPERIENCE MORE DEEPLY THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IN MY LIFE THROUGH MY EXHORTATION AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF OTHER BELIEVERS. I INTEND TO FIND A WAY TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE WHO NEEDS STRENGTH AND UNDERSTANDING TODAY! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  8. Some say, 'The River is flowing. Just step in.' But we need to say, 'Just step in, and the river will flow.' Some are passively waiting to see what God will do, while He is waiting for us to exercise faith to see Him move with power. Mark said it well: "And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept WORKING WITH THEM and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied it" (Mark 16:20). God worked with them instead of them working with God. THEY had a responsibility to step in FIRST. AS WE SEEK HIS PRESENCE -- THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO SAY, "OH WELL, THAT WAS NICE," AND THEN GO ON WITH OUR EVERY DAY LIVES! PRESS HIM AND STEP IN! Jesus had just risen from the dead and had been seen by the women. However, not all understood or believed. Two disciples were walking towards Emmaus talking about these confusing events when Jesus joined them (Luke 24:13-32). They did not recognize Him but listened intently as He explained from the prophets of old all that He had accomplished for them. When they reached their destination, Jesus acted as if He would go on. What do we do when it appears that the refreshing of the Spirit that we have experienced is moving on? These two disciples PRESSED Him to stay with them. They were not passive about this. There is a time in which we must press Him to continue to move with power through our hunger, prayers, faith, and actions. We must step in! Jacob wrestled with God for the blessing even after the Man told him to release Him. He received a name change and a character change. Even more than that, Jacob received a face-to-face encounter with God! Are you hungry for that? One touch from God can change things within you that will not change through years of counseling! One day, a storm arose while the disciples were in a boat. Jesus walked on the water towards them, but acted as if He were going to walk right by them! Their cries attracted Him, and He stepped in and stilled the storm. Do you need a breakthrough from the Lord? Don't give up. Remember that His delays are not denials. PARABLES BRING OUT THE HUNGER FOR GOD Jesus often told stories in parables. Why did He do this? He did this in order to divide the crowd. Only those who were hungry and committed enough to ask Jesus the meaning would receive the deeper meaning. Those who were half-hearted and gave little thought to what Jesus said would not. We must have a deep-seated commitment and hunger for God and His work among us to receive all that He has for us. Jesus told us that the Kingdom is like a treasure hidden in a field (Matthew 13:44). It was so valuable that a man sold all he had to get that treasure. When God's presence and work among us is so valuable that we would lay down other things for it, we will have it. The men on the road to Emmaus so valued this Man's presence and words to them, that they convinced Him to stay with them. What happened next was amazing! Luke 24:30 tells us: "But as soon as He had sat down with them, and had taken the bread and had blessed and broken it and was handing it to them, their eyes were opened and they recognized Him." Jesus did something that would have been culturally unacceptable at the time. HE took the bread, blessed and broke it. It was the father or master's responsibility to do that, not the visitors. THAT was when their eyes were opened. Jesus does not want to be a visitor in our life. He wants to be in charge. This is not passivity on our part! THE NECESSITY OF "STEPPING IN" We allow Him to move and to be Lord as we pursue His PURPOSE for our life through our hunger and faith. We must give Him abundant opportunities to manifest supernaturally in our midst through stepping out and laying hands on people. When we allow God to take the place of Lord over our lives, and not our traditions and church programs, He will reveal Himself in such a way that eyes are opened! People will know Him! These disciples knew the facts of Jesus' death and resurrection from what Jesus had taught them, but they did not know Him! As they pressed Him to stay and allowed Him to take the place of Lord, they received that "MORE!" THEY KNEW HIM! GLORY! Let's not allow this time of refreshing to pass without pressing Him for MORE! QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: Do I want to know Him in a deeper way? Do I want to be changed from the inside out? Do I want to see people saved, healed, and set free? Step in! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  9. Exodus 16:4 - "Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law or no." GOD TOOK A LITTLE, INSIGNIFICANT MATTER, THE FOOD THEY ATE--AND USED IT TO SEE IF THEY WOULD LISTEN TO HIM OR NOT. HE TOLD THEM HOW MUCH OF IT TO GATHER, WHEN TO GATHER AND WHEN NOT TO, AND WHAT TO DO WITH IT AFTER THEY BROUGHT IT IN. AND THE ISRAELITES WENT RIGHT OUT AND VIOLATED THOSE INSTRUCTIONS. THEY SHOWED GOD BY THEIR ACTIONS THAT HIS VOICE WAS NOT IMPORTANT TO THEM. THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO OBEY EVEN HIS SIMPLEST COMMANDS. GOD WORKS THE SAME WAY WITH US TODAY. BEFORE HE SENDS US ON A MAJOR MISSION, HE GIVES US THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVE WE CAN BE TRUSTED WITH SMALL INSTRUCTIONS. Luke 16:10 - "He who is faithful in a very little (thing), is faithful also in much." Ephesians 1:3 - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ." The earthly minded will constantly try to restrain those who are seekers of God with such statements as,"don't become so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good," which is precisely the opposite of true wisdom. Heaven is the realm into which we are called to abide with Christ Jesus, and the only truly effective ministry we will ever have on this earth is originated from that position. The church that becomes too earthly minded is not doing the earth any good. We are called to be a bridge between heaven and earth, and to represent the reality of all we have been given in Christ Jesus in the heavenly places. Christians should be so saturated with heaven that it is more real to them than anything in the natural realm. Ephesians 2:4-6 - "But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus." "Then he said, 'Take the arrows,' and the king took them. Elisha told him, 'Strike the ground.' He struck it three times and stopped. The man of God was angry with him and said, 'You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.'" - 2 Kings 13:18-19 Breakthrough IS Coming: Keep Striking the Ground! Do not be discouraged if at first you don't see your victory manifest. Breakthrough will first happen in the spiritual, then in the natural. Just because you can't see it in the physical does not mean it isn't happening in the spiritual. Keep on striking the ground! What has been barren and withered for so long will begin to revive and flourish. And the good news is? All that you need for breakthrough has already been given to you; it's already there! The Lord has deposited that miracle within you and it will bear fruit as long as we walk in accordance with the principles of the Kingdom. Affirmation: I AM WILLING TO HUMBLE MYSELF, LAY DOWN MY OWN AGENDAS/AMBITIONS, AND WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GOD -- KEEPING MY EYES FIXED ON JESUS. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  10. Romans 15:13 - "May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing -- through the experience of your faith--that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." HOPE IS A DIVINE DREAM. IT'S AN INNER IMAGE THAT'S BIGGER THAN YOU ARE BECAUSE IT'S BUILT ON THE PROMISES OF GOD. Example: IF THE DOCTOR TOLD YOU THAT YOU WILL NEVER WALK, THEN YOU SEE YOURSELF CLIMBING MOUNTAINS AND BRINGING THE WORD OF GOD TO HURTING PEOPLE. YOU FIND IN SCRIPTURE(ISAIAH 40:31) WHERE IT SAYS THOSE WHO WAIT ON THE LORD SHALL RUN AND WALK AND NOT FAINT OR BE WEARY. YOU LOOK AT IT UNTIL YOU SEE NOTHING ELSE. PICTURE YOURSELF WALKING FOR MILES AND RUNNING FROM ONE PLACE TO THE NEXT, TELLING EVERYONE - JESUS HAS RAISED YOU UP AND MADE YOU WHOLE. Affirmation: I TAKE THE WORD OF GOD AND BUILD VISION .......NOW! Psalm 37:4 - "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart." Matthew 13:3,8 - “Behold, the sower went out to sow; And others fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty." It takes spiritual eyes and sensitivity to discern the movements of God in our everyday lives. Sometimes His words come as a whisper and His movements like a gentle breeze moving through the branches of our lives, but as we seek first the King and His Kingdom by CONFESSING and MEDITATING on His word we will discern His voice and His faithfulness through each day. We must trust God with the seeds that He plants in us. His words over us are wrapped in His faithful promises and never-ending love. They require the softness of our heart to grow deep roots and break through the ground of faith so that they will manifest in the earthly realm. We cannot demand how God grows the seed or when it will move from the soil of faith to the visible realm. We must allow the roots to go deep so that when trouble comes, our seed will not be plucked up while still in its tender beginnings. Matthew 24:45 - "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household?" The word tells us that God shows Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are "perfect" toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). "Perfect" doesn't mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. It means "devoted" -- a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God. Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God has called him to do -- or as Jesus put it, the one who takes up his cross and follows him. The one who denies his fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do. AFFIRMATIONS: I am a faithful and wise servant. I find out what is stealing my time from the Lord. I take up Jesus' thoughts today. I take up His purposes and plans. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  11. God is a GOOD FATHER who is perfecting and completing all that concerns His children that they would stand in secure places of strength in the season ahead. "In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul...Though I walk in the midst of trouble, YOU WILL REVIVE ME; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. THE LORD WILL PERFECT THAT WHICH CONCERNS ME..." - Psalm 138:3, 7-8 The word "perfect" is the Hebrew word gâmar, which means to end in the sense of COMPLETION. God has promised us in His Word to complete that which He has started in us and He is presently doing a spectacular work to see His intentions in and for us realized (Philippians 1:6). THE NARROW PLACE In the narrow place, if we have ears to hear, and will listen for His voice, the Lord is releasing keys to remove demonic schemes and barriers that have kept His people from freedom over the years. "..and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life." - Mathew 7:14 THE NARROW PLACE IS THE BIRTHING CHANNEL that is now moving His people forward out into broad and spacious places of freedom and victory! The Lord is bringing His people OUT and establishing their boundaries in pleasant places! We are coming out with strength and with revelation! We are coming out with direction and strategies; We are coming out with joy and with passion! WE ARE COMING OUT AS AN ARMY ON THE OFFENSIVE READY TO CONQUER AND TO OCCUPY! We are now being established at higher levels of faith, undergirded with a double portion of grace and with a greater understanding of His great power that is available to us in establishing us in our CALLING in Christ. God has given us the word of authority to move the mountains before us, and as we speak forth in faith, our very BIG God breathes into the word and all things begin to align to His will! He is aligning us in His will and securing our lives in Him! DETERMINE TO BOLDY RUN THE RACE NOW IS THE TIME to boldly run the race set before us (our CALLING in Christ) and to occupy all areas that He has PURPOSED for us to advance the Kingdom of God. Psalm 110 prophesies that the people of God will volunteer freely to work the works of God in the DAY OF HIS POWER – a Day that is now upon us! He is now opening a GREAT and EFFECTIVE DOOR for us to reap a GREAT HARVEST. "WHATEVER YOUR HAND FINDS TO DO, DO IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT..." - (Ecclesiastes 9:10). As the GREAT AND EFFECTIVE DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY OPEN to us in the days ahead, let us lay hold of God and run with endurance...with all our might...the race He has set before us! "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us..." - Hebrews 12:1 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  12. Genesis 28:12 - "And he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it." The word translated "angel" in the text is the Hebrew word "Mal'ak" (mal-awk'), which means to despatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically, of God, ie. an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher). The point is the messengers that are to ascend and descend upon this ladder are not just angelic beings, but God's messengers, which WE ARE CALLED TO BE. 2 Timothy 3:5 - "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." ANY REVELATION FROM TODAY'S WORD THAT DOES NOT LEAD US TO AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD ONLY SERVES TO MAKE US MORE RELIGIOUS. THE CHURCH CANNOT AFFORD "FORM WITHOUT POWER" FOR IT CREATES CHRISTIANS WITHOUT PURPOSE. THOSE WHO RESTRICT THEMSELVES TO MERE WORDS LIMIT THEIR GIFT, AND MAY UNINTENTIONALLY LEAD BELIEVERS TO PRIDE BY INCREASING KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT INCREASED AWARENESS OF GOD'S PRESENCE AND POWER. MOVING IN THE IMPOSSIBLE THROUGH RELYING ON GOD SHORT-CIRCUITS THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRIDE. Matthew 10:7,8 - "And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give." PRAYING FOR YOUR CHILDREN: 1. That they will know Christ as Savior early in life. Psalm 63:1, Timothy 3:15 2. That they will have a hatred for sin. Psalm 97:10 3. That they will be caught when guilty. Psalm 119:71 4. That they will be protected from the evil one in each area of their lives: spiritual, emotional, physical. John 17:15 5. That they will have a responsible attitude in all their interpersonal relationships. Daniel 6:3 6. That they will respect those in authority over them. Romans 13:1 7. That they will desire the right kind of friends and be protected from the wrong friends. Proverbs 1:10-11 8. That they will be kept from the wrong mate and saved for the right one. 2 Corinthians 6:14-17 9. That they, as well as those they marry, will be kept pure until marriage. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 10. That they will learn to totally submit to God and actively resist Satan in all circumstances. James 4:7 11. That they will be single-hearted, willing to be sold out to Jesus Christ. Romans 12:1-2 12. That they will be hedged in so that they cannot find their way to wrong people or wrong places and that the wrong people cannot find their way to them. Hosea 2:6 QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: What am I willing to do to affect the spiritual destiny of my children? Am I willing to pray the above verses over my children every day? 13. The key to unlocking the fulfillment of God's promises in your life is learning to decree Gods will! While it seems simple, decrees of the Lord, give voice to, and establish His will. These Godly decrees are like arrows of accuracy that breakthrough every obstacle you face. By understanding the power of His word, His purpose for you, and your authority as a king and priest, you will be able to Decree His will, with boldness for breakthrough to your place of blessing. FIRST - UNDERSTAND HIS WORD HAS UNLIMITED POWER When you give voice to His word by decreeing His will over your life, you are unleashing the power that created the universe. In Genesis God creates the world with the authority of His word. Job 22:28 says "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of Gods favor] shall shine upon your ways." This key, of decree, is given to you by the master creator, the ultimate authority. Learn to use it! Decree His will and see it established for you. SECOND - WHAT IS HIS PURPOSE FOR YOU? Understand the will of God for your life. He is revealing His PURPOSE and DESTINY. We need to understand what God's WORD is to us: "Do not be drunk with wine...but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). His presence is a place of genuine hunger for the WORD of God, hunger for fresh bread from the WORD every day. There the Word comes alive and mysteries are revealed as the WORD becomes like fire in the bones. Within us arises a holy boldness to decree the WORD of God to shift the unseen realm and break down every barrier of the enemy with the power of the Word. Don't allow yourself to be discouraged, and brought down, by the conditions of the world around you. Learn to decree his will and advance and occupy the kingdom for His glory. Matthew 5:14 says "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." Our purpose as this light is continued in Mathew 5:16(AMP) - "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven." The Lord wants to turn up the brilliancy of His glory in your life that there will be such good works through your life that the He will be glorified. You are the light up on the hill. THIRD - UNDERSTAND YOUR AUTHORITY IN THE KINGDOM As you grow and mature you will operate out of Kingdom Authority. Revelations 5:10 - "And You have made them a kingdom (royal race) and priests to our God, and they shall reign [as kings] over the earth!" You are here to rule and reign. The battle you face is in the unseen realm. You are to have more faith in Gods power than that of the enemies. Because you walk in Kingdom Authority you can decree a thing and it will be established for you. EXERCISING OUR AUTHORITY THROUGH OUR INHERITANCE Make your decrees with boldness knowing that you have authority through your inheritance in Jesus Christ. Use your Kingdom Authority in the mighty name of Jesus. Seize opportunities to share His heart with your world. Declare and decree His words of life and blessing around you. Give and it will come back to you FULL MEASURE, pressed down, shaken together and RUNNING OVER! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  14. “…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.” - Philippians 3:13, NLT Sometimes our past victories keep us from rising higher as much as past failures. If we don’t let go of the old, we’ll never be able to embrace the new. As you forget what lies behind and press forward, you’ll move forward pursuing God's PURPOSE for your life. You’ll see increase and blessing and live the abundant life He has in store for you! PRAYER: Father in heaven, today I forget the past. I don’t want anything to hold me back from my calling in Christ Jesus. Help me, by Your Spirit, to press forward into the life of love, favor, and blessing You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen Philippians 3:12 - "But I keep going on, trying to grasp that purpose for which Christ Jesus grasped me." Affirmations: I DO NOT WANT TO JUST GIVE MENTAL ASSENT TO CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE. I WANT TO SEE, HAVE CONTACT WITH AND LIVE IN THE EXPERIENCED REALITY OF CHRIST'S ACTUAL PRESENCE. I WANT TO PRESS INTO GOD TO LAY HOLD OF THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH CHRIST JESUS HAS SAVED ME AND WANTS ME TO BE. Psalm 63:1 - "O God, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You: my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is." "You should teach people who you can trust the things you and many others have heard me say. Then they will be able to teach others." - 2 Timothy 2:2 The true success of our ministry to others will be by how it brought forth the formation of Christ within the person God has given us to DISCIPLE. Church members need to be encouraged to "think bigger." They need to see themselves as ministers to their fellow-man. The Christian life is more than just commitment to Christ; it includes a commitment to other Christians. We need to rise up and release worship, intercession, and a song to the Lord to usher in an awakening to those floundering who need to be DISCIPLED (by us) into a higher truth. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  15. 2 Corinthians 3:7,8 - "Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious." THE GOAL OF REDEMPTION IS TO RESTORE MAN TO HIS ORIGINAL CONDITION BEFORE THE FALL, WHICH IS WALKING WITH GOD, OBEYING HIM, AND FULFILLING HIS MANDATE TO RULE OVER THE EARTH. GOD ALSO ESTABLISHED THAT HE WOULD NOT ONLY RESTORE MAN TO THE CONDITION FROM WHICH HE HAD FALLEN, BUT RAISE HIM UP AS A GLORIOUS "NEW CREATION," WHICH WAS TO BE MUCH MORE THAN SIMPLY RESTORED TO THE CONDITION OF THE FIRST ADAM - THE NEW CREATION MAN ACTUALLY HAS GOD LIVING IN HIM! GOD HAS MADE MAN HIS TEMPLE AND GOD DWELLS IN MAN. THE ULTIMATE QUEST OF EVERY CHRISTIAN LIFE IS THEREFORE TO BE THE INTIMATE FRIEND OF THE LORD. IF THERE IS ANY WAY WE CAN MEASURE TRUE CHRISTIAN MATURITY, IT WILL BE BY HOW CLOSE WE ARE TO GOD. OUR MATURITY WILL BE REFLECTED BY HOW MUCH OF HIS GLORY IS MANIFESTED THROUGH OUR LIVES. IS OUR RELIGION ABOUT SATISFYING OUR NEEDS AND DESIRES? 2 Corinthians 5:15 - "And He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf." Romans 14:7,8 - "For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lords." Our salvation has freed us from ourselves so that we can live for God. We died to the law but we also died to all the claims and aspirations we had staked out as citizens of this world. We no longer live unto, or for ourselves, because we are no longer our own. The whole meaning our individual lives and faith consists of serving His purposes. We will only discover and fulfill God's high CALLING (our DESTINY in Christ) when we allow ourselves to be fully subjected to the leading of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20 - "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price." Philippians 3:10 - "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death." FOR HIS SAKE, WE CANNOT CONTENT OURSELVES MERELY WITH GOOD WORKS. ULTIMATELY, WE WILL DISCOVER THAT STUDY AND CHURCH ATTENDANCE ARE BUT FORMS THAT HAVE NO SATISFACTION IN AND OF THEMSELVES. OUR PLEASURE WILL BE FOUND NOT IN THE MECHANICS OF SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES, BUT THAT THESE DISCIPLINES BRING US CLOSER TO THE ALMIGHTY. WE HAVE SATISFIED OURSELVES WITH A SYSTEM OF HISTORIC FACTS ABOUT GOD WITHOUT PRESSING INTO THE REALITY OF GOD. OUR GOAL IS TO SEEK EARNESTLY FOR GOD UNTIL WE FIND HIM. Affirmations: TO TRULY KNOW GOD I MUST SEEK HIM UNTIL I PASS THROUGH MY KNOWLEDGE INTO AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE ALMIGHTY. HAVING FOUND HIM I ALLOW HIS PRESENCE TO FILL MY SPIRIT WITH HIS PEACE. THE UPWARD CALL OF GOD DRAWS ME INTO THE PLACE OF SURRENDER, WHERE I YIELD MY BEING INTO HIS HANDS. AS I LISTEN TO HIM, I ASCEND HIGHER TO THE DWELLING PLACE OF LOVE. I PRESS-IN TO KNOW THE LOVE OF CHRIST WHICH SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  16. Grab hold of the strength of the Word of victory that is power to us. Anchor it in your mind, in your heart, and in your thoughts! “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord!” - 1 Corinthians 15:57, 58 NOTHING’S IN VAIN We can abound in the work of the Lord (God's PURPOSE for our life) knowing that our labor is not in vain in the Lord. Thanks be to God, because He gives us the victory through Jesus! You know that whatever you do for the Lord, all that you do, all that you will do, for Him, is not in vain! Never in vain! This season will be a great time of enlargement for all of us, a great time in the realm of His vastness and fullness. That you will stand steadfast, stand firm! The Greek translation for the word “steadfast” is in the context of 1 Corinthians 15: 58 -- one would think it means to keep our feet firmly planted, staying in position -- but it means, being fixed in PURPOSE. BE FIXED IN PURPOSE May we be fixed on the victory wrought at the cross. May we live in the fullness of our redemption, in the redemptive power of the Cross. Praise the Lord! Don’t lose heart. Don’t grow weary. Don’t lose focus. Don’t lose vision. Don’t take your eyes off of the command victory of the cross. No wavering. Don’t be moved. Abound more in the work of the Lord. “Abound” means to have abundance, to have IN excess, greatly surpassing in excess, in the work of the Lord! Don’t be distracted. Put your trust in the Lord, not in the confidence of men. AFFIRMATIONS: By faith I believe and receive all God has for me. By faith I walk in the fullness of the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit. By faith I proclaim God Words without reservation. By faith I dedicate myself to my calling in Christ without wavering, being unmovable, but well established in the depths of my heart to Lord. In due time we will reap a harvest if we are steadfast as the unseen becomes seen and the impossible become possible. We believe Jesus right now to release a fresh oil-fresh anointing on our personal ministry to others. May our strength come from Him and may we know even a greater release of the riches of His Glory, that we would be strengthened with might through the working of the Holy Spirit in our inner man! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  17. James 1:2-4 - "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." EVERY TRIAL IN OUR LIVES IS ALLOWED FOR TWO PURPOSES: THE FIRST IS TO CONFORM US TO THE IMAGE OF JESUS CHRIST, WHICH IS THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. THE SECOND IS TO BRING US TO A PLACE OF MATURITY WHERE HE CAN TRUST US WITH MORE AUTHORITY TO DO THE WORKS THAT HE DID, WHICH ARE THROUGH THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT. THEREFORE, WE MUST SEIZE OUR TRIALS AS JAMES ENCOURAGES, COUNTING THEM AS JOY BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS LEAD TO THE DAWN'S LIGHT. Zechariah 12:1 - "Thus says the Lord, Who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him." God is Spirit, and Zechariah 12 tells us that God formed the spirit of man within him. The human spirit is what makes relationship and fellowship with God possible at all. Through his spirit, man can walk in step with God. In the Spirit he is one with God. Through his spirit, he knows of God and receives everything God wants to communicate to Him. It is in Man's spirit that Christ takes up residence. He who puts on Christ is one spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17 - "But he who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him." Psalm 5:3 -- 'In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.' Hearing from God is living with expectation toward Him because expectation places a demand on the Holy Spirit. We should live with expectation toward God twenty-four hours a day, for He abides within us at all times. God does talk. He is speaking continually. Christians need to develop their receivers (their human spirits) which will enable them to tune in to the voice of the Holy Spirit. If we start our day by thinking of all that needs to be done, our minds will attempt to figure things out, and we'll shut God out of our thoughts. If we focus on Him, He will talk to us and direct our day. AFFIRMATIONS: I live with expectation, I pray with expectation, I listen with expectation -- I hear HIS VOICE. I take time to listen to the Lord to hear strategies for myself, my family, and the needs of the Kingdom. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  18. Ephesians 1:5,6 - Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." We were chosen in Christ long before the earth was made. A low opinion of yourself or self-hatred is not from God but from the enemy. PRAYER is not trying to get God to do something for you by making Him feel sorry for you. It is coming to Him knowing that you not only deserve what you ask because of the righteousness of Christ, but you also have a right to it because it is based on His Word. Hebrews 4:16 -"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Colossians 1:10-11 - "so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously." Ephesians 5:15-16 - "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil." As we begin to understand who we are in Christ, as we begin to experience the new birth, a new groaning, a new growing in who He is, we will become equipped in such a way that will begin to exhibit the light, the fire, the love, the power of Heaven itself. The LORD is calling believers to be filled to the fullness of who they are. We continue to be so grateful for how Holy Spirit continues to lead us into higher realms of His glory. Galatians 5:25 - "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit." John 15:4 - "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me." John 8:39 - "They answered and said to Him, 'Abraham is our father.' Jesus said to them, 'If you are Abraham's children, do the deeds of Abraham."' Abraham was an alien and stranger on the earth. The goal of his life was to have a place in what God was building, not men. We are not the heirs of faith because we know that we must live by faith, but we become the heirs of faith by actually having faith, by doing the same deeds that Abraham did. We must devote ourselves to finding what is the Lord's CALLING on our life and sacrifice whatever is required to fulfill that calling. Galatians 3:6,7 - "Even so Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  19. "And it shall come to pass at that time, [that] I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will He do evil." - Zephaniah 1:12 KJV "Settled", according to Strongs Concordance, means to become dense. "Lees" means dregs, old settlings! When our hearts do not believe that the Lord is moving in our lives, we turn to other things and become dense, settled and lukewarm. Jesus strongly warns of being lukewarm in Revelation 3:14-22. SEEING WITH THE LENS OF FAITH We are NEW creatures in Christ, old things are passed away, BEHOLD, all things are become new (see 2 Corinthians 5:17)! Behold, can you see? God is doing a new thing. See by the Spirit of the LIVING God, using all your senses with a lens of faith. Do we believe? There is available grace bringing divine influence for us to perceive in a new way and receive a new framework of thinking, shifting our thinking to Kingdom thinking. It's a NOW faith, child-like in wonder at what God is doing in our midst! "Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." (Mark 10:15 KJV) There is available grace for new hearing! "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This [is] the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21 KJV). Expect it. Listen and step out! There is available grace to perceive and receive angelic help. They are bringing tools and strategies to help us to fulfill our new assignments! There is available grace to overcome complacency and unbelief; to break up the old ways of thinking. Grace is the divine influence of the Holy Spirit upon our hearts. Believe for and receive grace to see our true heart condition, and be empowered to break out of the old and move into the NEW! BRINGING HEAVEN TO EARTH There is available grace to receive new revelation. If you hear the WORD and think "I've heard it before," you aren't hearing it with faith. There is grace to experience fresh revelation of the Word of God as active...alive...fresh and new right now! Receive revelation from the eternal realm and bring it into the earth realm. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Grace is upon us to behold, receive, and bring these revelations to earth! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  20. Exodus 16:4 - "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction."' THIS IS THE TEST OF WHETHER WE WILL GET UP FIRST THING EVERY DAY AND SEEK FRESH "MANNA" FROM HEAVEN. THIS FRESH DAILY WORD FROM HEAVEN WILL HELP KEEP US FRESH SPIRITUALLY. WHEN WE STOP GATHERING IT EVERY DAY, WE WILL START TO GROW STALE AND OFTEN START TO DETERIORATE. BUT WE NEED MORE THAN THIS TO ACTUALLY GROW SPIRITUALLY. GROWTH REQUIRES MORE THAN WHAT IS NEEDED TO JUST SUSTAIN US. WE NEED THE FRESH MANNA FROM GOD, BUT WE ALSO NEED THE MEAT OF THE WORD. WE WILL NOT GROW UNLESS WE ARE PURSUING MORE AND MORE DEPTH OF UNDERSTANDING, AND MORE INCREASE IN OUR VISION. 1 Corinthians 2:10 - " For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." Joshua 1:9 - "Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." By far the greatest gift ever received by us is the Holy Spirit Himself. Those who discover the value of His presence enter realms of intimacy with God never previously considered possible. Out of this vital relationship arises a ministry of power that formerly was only a dream. The incomprehensible becomes possible because He is with us. "I will be with you" is a promise made by God to all His servants. It comes when God has required something of us that is humanly impossible. God doesn't have to try to do supernatural things. He is supernatural. If he is invited to a situation, we should expect nothing but a supernatural invasion. Psalm 59:9 - "O my Strength, I will watch and give heed to You and sing praises; for God is my Defense." The soul that is not recollected in one appetite alone -- the desire for God -- loses heart and strength in the practice of virtue. Affirmation: I WILL CONCENTRATE THE STRENGTH OF MY APPETITES ON GOD ALONE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  21. Many people are discouraged because they feel like their prayers are not being answered; they feel like God has forsaken them! God wants you to understand today that you didn't pray wrong and He's not refusing you! It's not your prayer that's being blocked, it's your answers! Look at what Daniel 10:12-13 says: "Then he continued, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia'" - (Daniel 10:12-13, NIV). The minute you started praying, God heard you! He had already answered, but your answer has been delayed because of the princes of resistance that are assigned to stop the manifestation of what God spoke! Because of the weight of what was about to be revealed, the enemy sent a prince to resist the answer God released! God is about to bring you out of the lion's den, out of the darkness of your calamity, and He's going to bring forth His PEACE in your trouble Speak the blessing of the Lord upon your life and declare that supernatural help has come! DECLARE THE FOLLOWING: • I declare that the Prince of Peace, the Lord who made Heaven and Earth, is invading my situation and brings me perfect peace! • I declare that the power of God is being released in my life to make my enemies be at peace with me! • I declare that voice of the Lord is being released into my life to speak peace to every storm that is raging against me! • I declare that Jesus Christ is my peace! I declare every form of separation and division formed between me and my promise is being destroyed by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding! • I declare that the God of peace will crush the enemy under my feet, and that I will walk into the grace of God that will release me into a new season, in Jesus' name! "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6 Matthew 6:10 - "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." WHEN WE PRAY FOR HIS KINGDOM TO COME, WE ARE ASKING HIM TO SUPERIMPOSE THE RULES, ORDER, AND BENEFITS OF HIS WORLD OVER THIS ONE UNTIL THIS ONE LOOKS LIKE HIS.....GOD'S WORLD COLLIDES WITH THE WORLD OF DARKNESS, AND HIS WORLD ALWAYS WINS. OUR BATTLE IS ALWAYS A BATTLE FOR DOMINION - A CONFLICT OF KINGDOMS. GOD HAS CHOSEN TO WORK THROUGH US. WE ARE HIS DELEGATED AUTHORITY ON PLANET EARTH, AND PRAYER IS THE VEHICLE THAT GIVES OCCASION FOR HIS INVASION. THOSE WHO DON'T PRAY ALLOW DARKNESS TO CONTINUE RULING. THE ENEMY'S GREATEST EFFORTS AT DECEIVING THE CHURCH ARE CENTERED ON DILUTING THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF PRAYER. Philippians 3:20 - "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." Paul spoke not about going to heaven someday, but about living as citizens of heaven today......specifically "from" heaven toward earth. We have the privilege of representing heaven "in this world" so that we might bring a manifestation of heaven "to this world." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  22. "Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death..." - Philippians 3:8-10 This is not the fellowship of our sufferings, but our fellowship with Jesus in His sufferings. Examples of this are the sufferings of the Lord over lost humanity, and over our spiritual dullness or lack of spiritual desire. He has so much to give, and so few who are willing and sensitive enough to receive. He desires our fellowship and longs that we come to Him. He has a PURPOSE for each of our lives. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10 Jesus wore the crown of thorns on His head so that you can have a sound mind free from fears, guilt, depression, anxieties, and stress. 2 Corinthians 5:7 - "For we walk by faith, not by sight." "SENSE KNOWLEDGE" IS THE ATTITUDE THAT SAYS, 'IF I CANNOT SEE IT, THEN IT IS NOT REAL. I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT." THIS MEANS THAT FAITH AND SENSE KNOWLEDGE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE. FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE AND EVIDENCE OF THINGS THAT YOUR SENSE KNOWLEDGE CANNOT SEE. It is all important that we know the glory of Jesus. He is the outshining of God's glory, and the express image of His substance. The more the soul is filled with that glory, and worships Him in it, the more it will see with what confidence it can count upon Him to do a divine and supernatural work in us, lead us to our CALLING IN HIM, and lead us to an actual living fellowship with God as our Father. Hebrews 1:3 - "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being." Is there a paralyzing passivity in the Church today? There is a paralyzing passivity so prevalent in the Church today. As prophetic voices, we must sound the alarm: these are not days of peace! We have no armistice with the workers of darkness! We must stir ourselves out of this stupor, as Scripture instructs us to do. We must rouse to reality and awake (Romans 13:11-14 AMP). Any time we begin to entertain a lie that God has somehow forgotten or forsaken us, we are believing that He has abandoned the covenant, and deceit enters in. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."—2 Corinthians 10:4-5 We must take a stand and refuse to believe the enemy about who we are and what the outcome of our lives will be. Did Jesus not say "I have come that you may have not only eternal life but life abundant"? Those who enter into the abundant life are not those who have been "specifically chosen" but those who simply trust God and BELIEVE. To "plead the Blood" with faith of all that Christ did on our behalf will release the demonstration and power of God! Noah, upon coming out of the ark after the Flood, made a sacrifice to God immediately upon stepping onto the land. This is symbolic of our going to baptize our Promised Land (our DESTINY in Christ) by recalling what Jesus accomplished at the Cross In other words, when we recognize what Christ did and that we are righteous due to His Blood, it empowers us to take our Promised Land! When we believe the "Glory of the Lord" is His finished work we can say -- "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord." - 2 Corinthians 3:18 Let us rise up and declare the power that is in the Blood! And, know that TODAY is our day that God will provide for our every need! As the Body of Christ we actually become the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the earth, and we also become His mouth. God speaks prophetically through His people. "If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God." - 1 Peter 4:11 NIV "...the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you..." Romans 8:11 AMP. We speak as God's earthly representatives. By releasing the voice of the Lord through the power of the spoken word, we can decree a thing and it will come to pass. It will happen. And it's all done by speaking words of faith. "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways." - Job 22:28 AMP Spiritual discontentment is the nature of a truly Holy Spirit-governed life. It will always be pressing on to something more of the Lord. The gospel doctrine of the Cross, that is, of dying to self is the only way to life in God. Therefore, man's morality can only help him to hypocritically conceal his own inward evil and act as if he were not under its power. "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." - Colossians 3:2,3 Just as Israel had to confront a wilderness that was the exact opposite of the land of milk and honey they had been promised, I too must do also. Fear is faith in satan, believing in his ability to hurt me. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  23. "...Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning? Those who walk righteously and speak what is right....their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them. Your eyes will see the King in His beauty and view a land that stretches afar." - Isaiah 33:14-17 The "everlasting burning" in this verse is not Hell, but rather is speaking of God. God is an all-consuming fire, and we are to become ignited so that we are fully consumed in Him. We are to become like Him by allowing the fire of God to consume all darkness and flesh so that we will walk righteously, speak truth, reject evil, and begin to dwell in the high places. "The fire of God is the fire of love as well as the fire of purity; a fire that blesses and quickens, as well as a fire that destroys and consumes. So the Apostle John comes with his answer, not contradicting the other one, but deepening it, expanding it, letting us see the foundations of it, and proclaiming that as a holy God must be surrounded by holy hearts, which will open themselves to the flame as flowers to the sunshine, so a loving God must be clustered about by loving hearts, who alone can enter into deep and true friendship with Him." - Alexander Maclaren THE MOUNTAIN WHERE GOD'S FIRE DWELLS What is the answer that the Apostle John gives? It is this: "...he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God..." - 1 John 4:16 This is the high place that He is calling His children to dwell in. He is calling us to come to the high place where we will encounter the "burning bush" of His love, which will consume and purify every dark place—igniting even the light within us with the fire of His love. You will become a person who dwells in the fire of God. There is an invitation before each of us, right now, to come up to the mountain and ask for the fire to consume us. He will respond to our faith that says, "Yes!" It was upon the mountain, where Moses stood before the burning bush that introduced him to I AM. It was there that Moses began his journey "to be the man who would set the captives free." We too must ascend to the mountain of God to be consumed by Him and His love, so that we too will see our captivity overthrown; and we will be prepared to set the captives free. To truly love, we must become love, and must be consumed by love. "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples." - John 13:35 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  24. "that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, that the Christ may dwell, through faith, in your hearts, being rooted and founded in love, - Ephesians 3:16,17 As believers we are rooted and grounded in His magnificent love (Ephesians 3:17). We have courage, the depth of which is confidence in the Lord. Today we declare that we will "Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding; in all our ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our path." - Proverbs 3:5,6 Truly the Lord will be strong on our behalf! This knowledge enables a deep courage within and causes us to be so anchored in His love that our hearts and minds are steadfast. Thus, we reach a place of focus that comes from being lead by the Lord. Holy perseverance is God-empowered boldness and courage that enables us -- deep within -- to persevere. One way to define perseverance is simply to "stay the course." This is a powerful blessing from the Lord that enables us to believe the impossible is possible. It is a work of the Holy Spirit within that enables us to have strength to stay the course, regardless of present circumstances or situations. This is what the prophet Isaiah wrote about: "Fear not (there is nothing to fear), for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My (victorious) right hand of rightness and justice...Isaiah 41:10 AMP You can stay the course because of the enabling of the strength of the Lord for you and in you! Expect the Holy Spirit to release an even greater strengthening deep within so that you will stand firm for the promises of the Lord for your life and your family. As you lean into the Lord -- go from strength to strength with deep courage to believe for the impossible to be possible. "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully." - Psalm 24:3-4 To those whom God has found faithful and to those who have laid aside every hindrance to take their walks with God seriously as a first priority, to these, God releases acceleration and promotion. Many have been or are being purged and refined by God's refining fire. The purpose of the fire and the refining season is to make us sparkle like gold and be able to run the race marked out for us without hindrance. Now is the time to embrace Psalm 24 and become excited about your CALLING and vision receiving acceleration, promotion, open doors, and increased authority. Not only that, this is an invitation to receive renewed joy for the call of God on your life, and even for the process in obtaining the prize. Hebrews 12:1-2 says, "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross..." "Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" - Matthew 9:37,38 "But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not." - Jeremiah 20:9b As the Word becomes like a burning fire in our hearts and bones, our focus is on the harvest, and it won't be denied us because we have freely received the Word and freely given the powerful Word of the Lord. With the workings of the Word in us, we become slayers of any giants that stand in the way of the harvest. Even if there's a wall, we leap right over it, slaying the giants to bring forth the victory. The Word and power of the Lord flow through us to release us into the plans and purposes of the Lord, thereby advancing our calling in Christ, according to the constant and ever-increasing flow of His power and ability. PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the harvest! As your Word empowers me for the harvest, precious Lord, let this time be one of increase for harvest glory -- harvest for Your glory, precious Lord. 25. Luke 13:20,21 - "To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened." Much like light that exposes, or salt that preserves, leaven influences its surroundings in a subtle but overpowering way. So it is with the infiltrating power of the Kingdom of God. Without a revelation of what God intends to do with His church, we cannot move in overcoming faith. When the main goal of our faith is to keep us safe from the devil, our faith becomes inferior to what God expects. Jesus had in mind more for us than survival. We are destined to overcome. Every conversion plunders hell. Every miracle destroys the works of the devil. Every God encounter is an "invasion of the almighty" into our desperate condition. This is our joy. Revelation 12:11 - "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." "...where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17)! Psalm 31:19 says, "How great is the goodness You have stored up for those who fear You. You lavish it on those who come to You for protection, blessing them before the watching world." The Hebrew word for "great" is "rab", meaning abundant, large, of major importance, chief, weighty, noble, princely. And that is the basis, measure, and magnitude of God's goodness that He wants to lavish on us. The goodness of God is not something that God does; it is who He is! It is His nature to be the good to His children! He is incapable of sabotaging His nature! All we need is to: choose to BELIEVE His goodness, DECLARE it, MEDITATE on it, SPEAK it over our lives and circumstances, RECEIVE it by faith, and watch what the Lord will do on our behalf! The Lord will bless you before a watching world! People are going to witness the power, provision, and blessings of God over your life! AFFIRMATIONS: I am confident that I see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! The Lord has stored up goodness for me and He's ready to lavish it over my life! The Lord will bless me and enlarge my territory. His hand and favor are becoming so evident in my life! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
