  1. Romans 1:14 - “I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the barbarians.” Paul was overwhelmed with the sense of his indebtedness to Jesus Christ, and he spent himself to express it. "Ye are not your own.“ Paul sold himself to Jesus Christ. The great inspiration in Paul’s life was his view of Jesus Christ as his spiritual creditor. We need to quit praying about ourselves and be spent for others as the bondslave of Jesus. That is the meaning of being made broken bread and poured-out wine in reality (Philippians 2:17). Questions to ask myself: Am I doing anything to enable Him to bring His Redemption into actual manifestation in other lives? Am I willing to let the Spirit of God work in me this sense of indebtedness? Am I truly a bondslave of the Lord Jesus.? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  2. Exodus 14:11,12 - "They said to Moses, 'Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt...It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!'" There was something comforting about the past that the Israelites preferred at this point to the unknown dilemma of future freedom. It would seem they were so afraid of the unknown that they might even have been willing to settle for second best and remain in an oppressed lifestyle rather than face the trial of exodus. SURRENDER SELF-PITY TO GOD 1. One of the most effective ways to destroy the habit of feeling sorry for one's self, is, first of all, to focus on God and start affirming the promises of God promised to you in scripture (your inheritance in Christ). Then, purpose to think about other people. 2. Ask God to give you someone that you can help with their spiritual needs -- and go minister to them -- tell them about Jesus -- look after them and take an interest in their spiritual development. 3. Let go of the past and move into new opportunities to discover our CALLING and DESTINY in Christ. Even though our enemy will use fear of the unknown to overwhelm us and cause us to lose courage, we must endeavor to maintain a bold faith in the face of adversity. 4. STANDING AND STILLNESS IN WARFARE IS STRATEGY Exodus14:13,14 - "And Moses said unto the people, 'Fear Ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever.'" Ephesians 6: 10,14 - "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness." When we stand firm, God enables us to overcome our enemy in His truth. We quickly discover in spiritual skirmishes that God's authority is truly indisputable and the enemy must bow the knee to the King of kings. God said that the people would never have to face the enemy they faced that day again. In other words, the battles we win today remain future victories. By faith we can maintain ground taken without having to fight the same battle twice. Furthermore, we do not need to revisit old wounds: what God has healed, He has healed. Ongoing introspection has no place in a people whose focus is the Lord. 5. REACH OUT "Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.'" Exodus 14:15-16 There is a time to stand and a time to move. If we don't discern a new season with God's instruction to "move on," our past has then the potential to be used as a "crutch" - meaning it remains a familiar comfort zone and a possible stumbling block to the new things God has for us. Our authority in Christ raises itself as a banner of victory over our circumstances, situations and any and all intimidation and enemy assault. We must do our part, like Moses, in learning to exercise our God-given authority over our circumstances. Moses raised his staff, commanding what stood before God's people in the natural environment to be aligned with Heaven. He then stretched the staff out as a gesture of faith in ACTION. Similarly, we have to do our bit to engage by faith and believe that Jesus' finished work on the cross will deliver every area of our lives into total freedom. In this way we will experience Kingdom transformation and acceleration of DESTINY! QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. Am I happy in my comfort zone or do I really want to change -- that is, reach for the earthly DESTINY God has for me. 2. How many people am I presently discipling? Am I equipping these people to disciple others so they can advance the "Great Commission"? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  3. Luke 4:18 - "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me." Believe God is bringing us to a place where we know that the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. God wants to bring us to the fact of what Jesus said in John 14: "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever." Because the Spirit of the Lord came upon Him who is our Head, we must see to it that we receive the same anointing and that the same Spirit is upon us. We see the manifestation of the Spirit resting upon Him so that His ministry was with power. May God awaken us to the fact that this is the only place where there is any ministry of power. There is no limit to what we may become if we dwell and live in the Spirit. In the Spirit of prayer, we are taken right away from earth into heaven. It is only in the Spirit that the love of God is poured out in us (Romans 5:5). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  4. Ephesians 3:19 AMP - "[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!" From deep inside your inner man springs a heartfelt prayer—that you will be filled with the amazing love of Christ; that His love will strengthen you and help you through the darkest nights of your battles. You are not alone, nor are you forgotten. In fact, He holds you ever so close. This amazing love will fill you with all you need, giving you an inner strength to lead you out of the deep, dark forest of confusion and bring you safely home. He is your Beacon of Hope! Are you ready to be flooded by His presence—to have your entire being completely saturated with the fullness of God? In His fullness He'll let you feel His tender mercies pouring over you. In that place you'll discover what it means to belong to Christ personally, and dwell in a place where His eyes actually penetrate the darkness of your heart and shatter its power over you. There's a whole ocean of His love for you to bask in as you meditate and visualize his love permeating your heart. You find divine healing and blessed hope there as you bask in His fullness where He breathes new life into the broken pieces inside you, making you brand new! HE IS TAKING YOUR BROKEN PIECES Jesus Himself is inviting you into divine relationship, a sweeter communion where His tender affection is poured like a healing balm into all the wounded places of your heart. He takes the broken pieces in His hands and breathing new life into them so you can begin again. He wants you to become deeply rooted in His love and discover the extravagant dimensions of His heart for you. Reach out and believe for the presence of His love in your heart -- He's waiting for you even now. As you rest there fathom its depth and rise to the heights of His tender affection for you, filled to overflowing! Now you see His love is flowing through your heart into the heart of others. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  5. Matthew 5:39 - "But I say unto you, That you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also." These verses reveal the humiliation of being a Christian. When you are insulted, you must not only not resent it, but make it an occasion to exhibit the Son of God. To the saint personal insult becomes the occasion of revealing the incredible love of the Lord Jesus. The teaching of the Sermon on the Mount is not -- Do your duty, but -- Do what is not your duty. It is not your duty to go the second mile, to turn the other cheek, but Jesus says if we are His disciples we shall always do these things. There will be no spirit of -- "Oh, well, I cannot do any more, I have been so misunderstood." Every time I insist upon my rights, I hurt the Son of God. The disciple realizes that it is his Lord's honor that is at stake in his life, not his own honor. We are always looking for justice; the teaching on the Sermon on the Mount is -- Never look for justice, but never cease to live it. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  6. Romans 12:3 - "........God has dealt to each one a measure of faith." As children of God, we should never say, "I don't have any faith." To say this is to say that God is a liar because His Word already tells us that "God has dealt to each one a measure of faith." Why does faith of some seem to be stronger than others? Faith is like a body muscle -- the more we exercise our measure of faith, the bigger and stronger it grows. Each time we hear or read God's Word, we are feeding our faith. When we confess God's word and expect good things to happen to us, we are using it. And the more we use it the more our faith grows, and grows, and grows, and grows........ For example: We could start with headaches. When we have a headache, instead of always running straight for our painkillers ---use our faith. We thank God for the healing we are receiving. When we go to the doctor, then we go in faith, praying, "Abba Father, I am going to the doctor. Thank you, in Jesus name, for giving the doctor's wisdom to give me an accurate diagnosis. My trust is not in him but in You." When we take our medicine in faith we say: "Lord, sanctify this medicine," then we take it. He blesses that medicine. And what will be developing in us, growing bigger and possessing our bodies until it is wide-spread -- is divine health. AFFIRMATIONS: God has given me a measure of faith. It is the measure of my faith that causes me to draw from the inexhaustible power of a faithful and loving God! It is imperative that we realize our personal identity in Christ. In Colossians 2:9 we discover this central fact concerning Christ Jesus: "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Our outlook on life is changed as we contemplate: "And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." (Colossians 2:10) "You are complete," which means we lack nothing at all, as we are "in Him." Abiding in Christ and allowing Him to flow freely out of us enables us to function with the greatest degree of success, thus fulfilling God's CALLING upon our life. It's time for your DESTINY to be set in motion. Nothing will stop you now! The entrance to the door of this realm is your 'overcoming spirit', wanting at times to give up but not giving into that. You will ride the wave of an overcoming spirit. You overcome in the onslaught of the thoughts of your mind. You overcome in the mundane daily activities. You overcome in the rejection of man. You overcome in the betrayal of those who persecuted you. You overcome in the darkness. You overcome when all you could see was the opposite of what you had living inside of you. He has hidden manna for you (Revelation 2:17), that will sustain you and nourish you in ways you have not known. Today you are recovering your dreams He gave you, for you will see what He has said all along becomes your reality. No more backing up and no more backing down. IT'S TIME! It's yourDeuteronomy 1:11 that says -- "...He will bless you just as He has promised you." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  7. Colossians 2:9,10 - "For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority." Does that sound like a description of some pitiful, poor weakling that can barely make ends meet? No!. It's a description of the child of the King. God is moving all over the Earth. Stay with Him. Stay in the Word. Every day affirm and meditate on those scriptures that show us our inheritance in Jesus' finished work of the cross and our sonship in Him. It is our job to keep the Word of our redemption hot and alive in our spirits and minds. It's God's business to meet our needs according to His riches in glory(Philippians 4:19). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  8. Ephesians 5:14-18 - "Wake up from your sleep, and arise from the dead, And Christ shall shine upon you. Live life with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning of life but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the evils of these days. Don't be vague but grasp firmly what you know to be the will of the Lord." As believers, we are instructed to live our daily lives with a sense of our unique divine DESTINY supported by goals and aims. YIELDING OUR WILL 2 Corinthians 12:9 - "And he said unto me, "my grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." As we yield our wills and ways to the control of God's Holy Spirit, we begin to experience the walk of grace, as Jesus lives His life through us. The fire of passion burns brightly with this deposit of grace. Luke 3:2 - "The word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness." The word of God came to John the Baptist while he was alone in the wilderness, thus giving him clear direction for the days ahead. As a result of his being alone with the Lord, John came into a ONENESS with the Lord that could not have been accomplished in any other way. "I AM THE VOICE OF ONE" John 1:23 - "John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, 'I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way for the Lord'." Each one of us should come to the place where we also could make this statement, "I am the voice of One." There is an immediate need for this voice to cry out in the midst of the frustrations and perils of our present day. We need to stand in the manifest presence of the Lord to be prepared as the "voice of one crying in the wilderness" of our day. May it be stated of us, as it was of the disciples of old, that it is apparent we have been with Jesus. This, and only this, will make the changes that must occur if we are to reach this hurting world with the message of God's redemptive, transforming grace. Affirmations: AS I RECOGNIZE HIS PRESENCE AND TURN ASIDE TO STAND BEFORE HIM, I BECOME THE EXPRESSION OF HIS VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS OF TODAY. AS I EXPERIENCE SPIRITUAL HUNGER AND SEEK FOR SOMETHING MORE, I AM CALLED APART TO BE ALONE WITH THE LORD FOR A TIME OF PREPARATION. AS I RECEIVE ANOINTING AND IMPARTATION OF GOD'S GRACE, I WALK A GRACE-FILLED LIFE IN ORDER TO SEE THE GLORY OF GOD FILL THE EARTH. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  9. Philippians 3:10 - “That I may know Him.” Do I know Him where I am today? The initiative of the saint is not towards self-actualization, but towards knowing Jesus Christ. The spiritual saint never thinks of his life as both worldly and sacred; he sees all trials and tribulations as the means of securing the knowledge of Jesus Christ. There is a reckless abandonment about him. The Holy Spirit is determined that we shall realize Jesus Christ in every domain of life, and He will bring us back to the same point again and again until we do. Every phase of our actual life has its counterpart in the life of Jesus. Our aim, as spiritual saints, is to secure the realization of Jesus Christ in every set of circumstances we are in. 10. "Catch the foxes for us, The little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, While our vineyards are in blossom." - Song of Solomon 2:15 Ask the Lord to reveal to you the little foxes that are trying to crush the vine that will bring forth the new wine. Get a vision of your future identity. Ask the Lord to send a new wind and blow upon your garden. Ask the Lord to come into your vineyard. Let Him prophetically reveal to you the fruit you are going to bring forth in the future. Enter into His PURPOSE for your life. Allow the Lord to set you apart for the future. Let new joy and gladness arise. Declare you will sleep in peace and you will feel safe in the presence of God. It's time for new wine. It's time for the new wineskin. Enter in! "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me; I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; I have set the Lord continually before me; In your presence is fullness of joy." - Psalm 16:5-8,11 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  11. Romans 6:4 - "as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life." New Life! The eternal unquenchable life of Almighty God. It's inside you. God's Word calls it a heavenly treasure inside earthly bodies (2 Corinthians 4:7). It just needs to be fed and stirred up on God's Word -- regularly -- just as your body needs food on a regular basis. Jesus said we don't live by bread alone but by on every word God says. We should wake up every morning in a new victory. Wake up with victory in Jesus on our minds regardless of what's going on in our bodies and regardless of what is happening around us. Our first thought every day should be that Jesus has been raised from the dead and His victory is our victory. That life is just brimming up, ready to be released in the face of the enemy in order to bring great victory over his works of darkness. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  12. Romans 4:17 -- ....."God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did." Sometimes we feel pain from sickness. How can we go around saying the Christ has redeemed us from this sickness? How can we say that by His stripes we are healed? God's way is to call those things that are not as though they are. And because we are made in God's image, we can also call those things that are not as though they are! When God wanted to make Abraham a father of many nations, what did He do? HE CHANGED THE WAY ABRAHAM TALKED. At that time, Abraham did not even have a single child from his wife, Sarah, because she was barren. So how could he become a father of many nations? God changed the way he talked, How? By changing his name from Abram to Abraham, which means "father of many nations." Every time he said his name he called forth what God saw him already blessed with. When Jesus saw the man with a withered hand, He didn't say, "My goodness! It is so withered!" He said, "Stretch out your hand! (Matthew 12:13). He CALLED FORTH what he wanted. He looked at the paralytic and said, "Rise, take up your bed and go home!" (Matthew 9:6). He didn't see it the way it was in the natural. He saw the way God meant it to be and He called it forth. AFFIRMATION: I change the way I talk -- I see the way God meant it to be, and start calling forth my miracle. Often, the battle is not with the devil, but with our own CARNAL NATURE. Our flesh really longs to rise up and fix things, stating our opinion. We must remember--the greater the faith, the fewer the words. If there are some battles or power-struggles going on in your sphere of influence, keep in mind, it's best to always bow lower. After all, God became a baby to conquer the world. For it's, "Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, says the Lord." - Zechariah 4:6 As You Allow Him to Change You, He will Change Your Circumstances The season of depression, confusion, lack, and sinful cycles is over. Don't look back -- Don't bring up the past -- It is under the Blood of Christ. Just as your sins have been forgiven forgive others. Let go of the bitterness and the regrets. Crucify your ego. Release the anger. He will work everything for good. Get ready to move into new realms of His glory. Every time you encounter His glory He is changing you. He is changing your thoughts. He is changing your perspective. He is increasing the power of His Spirit in you. He is anointing you to bring breakthrough to others. Receive the fresh prophetic flow of His presence. Be refreshed. Receive an excitement for that which is coming. The future is full of adventure. Expect Him to do mighty things for nothing is impossible for those who believe! "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." - Ephesians 1:18 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  13. Luke 11:38 - "When the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that He had not first ceremonially washed before the meal." If we are still "doing" acts of holiness to get God to move in our lives, then we are still operating under a "law" mentally that is not faith (Galatians 3:12). The legalist thinks, 'I can GET God to heal me by confessing "by His stripes I am healed.'" The person who understands God's grace will not confess God's word with the motive of trying to GET God to heal him but will confess "By His stripes I am healed" because he really believes it has already been done at Jesus' finished work at the cross. If the motive for our actions is to be accepted by God, that's legalism. If we live wholly out of faith and gratefulness for what Christ has already done, that's grace. Grow in Grace! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  14. Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord. thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." John 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." It is important to know where we are called to be, who we are called to be with, and what we are called to do (our DESTINY) and how we are to implement the things that God is calling us to. We can fast, pray, strive and do all kinds of spiritual works, but if we are out of alignment, all these things may not have the full impact on our lives that we desire. Sometimes we just need to find out what that one thing is that God is requiring of us. It is usually one thing, not many. God will bring us into a place of utter contentment in His Presence as we come close to the Comforter, Holy Spirit. This implies a life-style of "Walking In The Spirit"; THREE REQUIREMENTS TO WALKING IN THE SPIRIT: Romans 6:11 - "Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus." (1. Consider myself dead to sin.) Ephesians 4:23-24 - "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (2. I have to "PUT ON" walking in the Spirit.) ie. I make the decision each day to be led by my spirit rather than my soul (mind, will, and emotions). I walk with my spirit being led by the Holy Spirit. Romans 12:2 - "And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." (3. I have to renew my mind to the word of God.) BREAKING THROUGH TO THE NEXT LEVEL 2 Peter 1:4 "By which we have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." We are called to be sons and daughters of God. As we grow we learn the truth of our inheritance and walk in His promises as mature sons of God. There are SPIRITUAL IMPEDIMENTS that arise in our lives that come to lie, steal and betray us. God is going to eliminate these impediments out of our thinking as we lay hold of the inheritance (affirming, meditating on, and visualizing the precious promises that are ours in Christ) that He paid the price for us to walk in. It is as if we are stuck at a certain level and cannot break through into the next until these impediments are removed. If we tolerate these impediments we become partakers of the nature of the enemy. It is part of the process that our soul goes through in that we must be cleansed of the nature of evil and embrace the nature and life of the Holy Spirit. UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS Example: There are relationships that steal and have only selfish intent -- these will leech the life and anointing off of you. The Lord is going to help us remove these impediments out of our lives as we yield to His heart's desires and ways; He will give us wisdom to know the difference. When we are in proper alignment there is much more ease and grace to accomplish what God calls us to. Sometimes God is speaking and showing us what we need to do, but we just keep doing our spiritual routines rather than the one thing He desires from us. We will find much more grace when we simply yield to that one thing and silence the noise of all the activities. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  15. 2 Corinthians 1:4 - "He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us." We need a revelation of a greater power, an abiding presence sustaining and comforting us in the hour of trial. What more do we need in these last days when perilous times are upon us than to be filled and saturated with the Holy Spirit! Baptized into Him, never to come out. May we know nothing among men except Jesus Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). May we be clothed with His Spirit -- nothing outside of the Blessed Holy Spirit. In all the chastening, correcting, and hardship, we are strengthened so that we may endure and so that we may comfort others "with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
