  1. John 3:3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." What does it mean to "see" the kingdom of God? Jesus urged us to do an about-face in our approach to reality because His Kingdom is at hand. He brought His world with Him, and it's within our reach. He wants us to see reality from God's perspective, to learn to live "from" His world "towards" the visible world. But we have to change the way we think if we want to apprehend the Kingdom power that is available. Jesus was saying that when our minds are renewed, we will see the Kingdom displayed and proven as He did in His earthly ministry. The idea of Kingdom power and spiritual conflict unsettles some people, but without power, the gospel is not good news. Jesus never made the gospel simply a doctrinal exercise. His reality - is to raise up a delegated group of people who work with Him to destroy the works of the devil, who demonstrate and prove the will of God here on earth as it is in heaven. Affirmations: I HAVE AN UNRELENTING HUNGER TO WATCH THE KINGDOM BREAK INTO THIS REALM. I BECOME A CONNECTING POINT AND GATEWAY FOR GOD'S POWER. I AM A C0-LABORER WITH JESUS IN THE GREAT COMMISSION. "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself." - Philippians 3:21 The body being so operated by the Spirit in the process of changing until we are like unto Him. Being filled with the Spirit we are so hungry, so thirsty, that nothing will satisfy us but seeing Jesus. Getting more thirsty every day, more dry every day, until the floods come, and the Master passes by, ministering unto us and through us, and through us the same life, the same inspiration, that as He is, so are we in this world. Matthew 12:37 - "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Affirmation: I LET MY WORDS CREATE THE CURRENT THAT SWEEPS ME INTO THE HEART OF GOD. 1 Samuel 3:1 -- "In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions." If Eli (the High Priest of Israel) could not hear from God, the people would not receive messages from Him. The only words that we receive that are of help to people are words from God. If we don't spend time LISTENING to Him, then we will receive not words by which we will bless and encourage his people. 1 Samuel 3:7 -- "Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him." He'd never heard God speak, but he still enjoyed His presence. We need to hear from God; we need to hear the word of the Lord. We can only hear from God if we spend time with Him. We can only hear from Him if we have a relationship with Him. Our relationship to God is the most important thing in our lives, therefore we need to give it the utmost care. CALL TO LIVE OUT OUR DESTINY IN CHRIST Psalm 91:1 -- "He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High God, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." There is a secret place inside us where God dwells. When we abide with Him in the Spirit in that secret place, we will experience the evidence of His presence with us. We have the greatest calling to fulfill in the universe: to live out our DESTINY in Christ with God's power living and working through us. The secret place is not a physical place like it was in Samuel's day. Our secret place is in our own hearts. We can go anywhere and still focus on Him in our spirit and be in the secret place of the Most High. We might be at work, yet we can enter into the presence of the Lord by simply going to the quiet place in our spirit and find Him there waiting for us. It is in this place where the Lord speaks and we listen. In the secret place is where we will find God's purpose (DESTINY) for our life. EXPRESSION OF OUR LOVE FOR OTHERS Samuel had never heard God until he spent time in His presence. They developed a relationship with each other. Samuel became one with God; they became friends. As we develop friendship with God, then He can show us how to love others. As we are first filled with the power to truly love others by loving Him and by receiving His love for us we will come to realize our need to DISCIPLE other believers. This only comes through our communion with Christ. We need to hear the voice of the Lord! We need to hear His voice now more distinctly than ever before, because we need a personal revelation of our DESTINYin Christ. Eli had gotten used to residing in his "usual place" in the house of God. We too can get too used to our relationship with God the way it is. But God wants us to come out away from our "usual place" and seek Him afresh and anew -- to turn from all else and seek only Him. He wants to show His love for us in a new way. AFFIRMATIONS: I resolve to get to know Him in a fresh way and experience new aspects of His character -- to experience new facets of His love. As I love Him as I have never loved Him before my capacity to love others is enlarged. As I abide in the secret place in silence I lift up my heart to Him in love and experience the communion of His presence. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  3. Song of Solomon 4:16 - "Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my Beloved come into His garden, and eat His pleasant fruits." This is a new day, let the Son arise with healing in His wings and let the wind of God take you to a new realm of faith and understanding in this hour for such a time as this. Choose life, and to live that life abundantly. It's not too late, it's time to begin again. It is the time for a new season of love and drinking of the new wine. It's time to be intoxicated with His love and come into the chamber – into His presence to meet with Him. He will meet with you in that secret place and show you the secrets of His heart . YOU CAN TRUST HIM He does not withhold any good thing from you, you can trust Him with your all your heart. He desires that you prosper even as your soul prospers (3 John 2). This is a time of sowing and reaping in spiritual prosperity; of seeking first the Kingdom of God and all the things you need or ever wanted shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33). This is a time of manifestation and breakthrough; of new birth where we realize that the dream is His dream and the desire is His desire. He is a faithful, faithful God! Always faithful. He is looking – seeking for a faithful Bride. The power is in your tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and the words of the Lord are in your mouth and they are God-breathed. Speak the Words He Puts in Your Mouth. Be bold and stand in the power of His Spirit with HIS words in your mouth. Fresh breath of life on the things that have died or laid dormant; dreams that seemed to have been lost but not forgotten will suddenly be realized. He is doing a new thing in you and it's a sudden thing! ARISE AND SHINE He is fanning the flame of His fire and passion in His people to burn with love and desire for the things of His heart; for the things of His Kingdom. He is saying, "It's time to arise and shine." SO ARISE! The wind of God will bring a fresh revelation and understanding. It will bring understanding for the Word of God, and fresh hunger and for His Word and His presence. Hebrew 4:12 - "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." CONSECRATE YOURSELVES This is a time of consecration and separation of the world; but not of your relationships that are God ordained and in covenant commitment. Put off the old man and PUT ON THE NEW (Ephesians 4:24). This is an exhortation to discover and move forward in God's CALLING ON YOUR LIFE. Leave the familiar and breaking the cycle of your fleshly desires, ways and mind-sets -- break the lies that say the grass is greener on the other side, when in fact the grass is dried up, full of weeds and thorns – where there is no water or life in the carnal ways of man. John 10:27 - "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." Isaiah 50:4 - "He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to hear as the learned." Hebrews 5:11 - "Concerning this we have much to say which is hard to explain, since you have become dull in your (spiritual) hearing and sluggish (even slothful in achieving spiritual insight)." This is a time not only to hear God's voice more clearly but also for us to activate the things God is speaking to us. HEARING GOD -- KNOWING HIS VOICE God is speaking all the time but most people are not aware of it, or they have not been trained to recognize the variety of ways God speaks. This could be through dreams and visions, prophetic words, music and the arts, the Bible, or the still, small whispers we often get from the Holy Spirit. JOURNALING Habakkuk 2:1-2: "I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me...Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Record the vision...'" Journal what God is speaking to you right now. The reason is that God often speaks over a period of time and through various circumstances and events in our lives and we need to "learn to discern" God's voice from the clamor of things coming at us all the time. One distinctive feature of knowing God's voice is peace. Do you have peace in what you are hearing? You will recognize God's love and nature when you have peace in your spirit with what God is saying. HINDRANCES TO HEARING GOD • Our own theology. -- This can even stop us from hearing what God wants to say to us, especially if we believe God only speaks in a certain way. If God is calling you to something new, sometimes what you believe can get in the way. God wants to help us where we don't yet trust Him to do things we have never seen before. He delights to show us His ways. • Assuming. -- Presumption or assuming that you already know what is being said can be a hindrance too. • Busyness. -- If you're trying to find something new, busyness is another thing that will keep you from hearing God. What do you need to say "no" to so you can eliminate the hindrances to hearing God? CALLED TO SOMETHING NEW? When God calls us to do something new, we often have to forget the former ways that we did things. We must basically wage war with the old mindsets that keep us from "coming up" into this divine advancement. This is usually difficult for us to do. But it is our old ways of thinking or old ways of doing things that is the very reason we need to hear God for something new. God changes the seasons in our lives and what worked in a previous season might not work now. "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV If you have noticed lately that things seem different, or you're not quite finding God "how" or "where" you have in the past, do not despair; do not be discouraged. He is simply answering your prayers. He is moving. He is inviting you to come along with Him. QUESTION TO ASK MYSELF? What are some of the former ways I've been doing things? As we advance and mature in our ability to hear God, our previous ways of doing things might not work as effectively as they once did. AFFIRMATIONS: 1. The Word says I can hear God's Voice and I believe it 2. I do hear the voice of God! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

Romans 8:28 - "We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Why is it that all things work together for good? Romans 8:29,30 - "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these who He justified, He also glorified." Those who He "foreknew" He also predestined for glory. That's why all things work together for good, because God created us with the end in mind. God starts from the end and works backward. He has looked at the finished product of His finest creation and said, "You are awesome!" Ephesians 1:4 - "He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love." That is why Romans says, "Whom He foreknew." God knew what we would be and do before we were ever conceived. He didn't make our choices for us, but He knew what they would be because in His world they have already happened. He knew that we would choose Him, so He chose us first. He knows us so well that He knew to choose us before we even knew whether or not we would choose Him! Ephesians 1:18 - "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." Hebrews 2:10 says that Jesus died to bring many sons to glory. We know that we have an incredible inheritance in God, but do we realize that we are His glorious inheritance? He loves us so much that we are to become His glorious inheritance. By choosing us first, He gave us the inheritance of greatness. Affirmations: I WAS CREATED FOR GLORY. BEFORE THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH, I WAS MADE AND PREDESTINED FOR GREATNESS BECAUSE HE ALREADY KNEW I WOULD CHOOSE HIM. I AM COMMISSIONED TO BE LIKE HIM, AND HE IS GLORIOUS! 6. Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." We are creating memories every moment. The past is moving by and we are stepping into the future. God desires us to be people of the present, not of the past or even the future. He is ready to invest in us right now. This is what will make our future impact on others fruitful. In our lives we need to be intentional about where we spend our thoughts. God wants us to be connected to what He is ready to do currently with regard to His PURPOSE for our life. There are both good things and bad things in the past, but both can be a distraction to what God wants to do right now. We cannot spend our time worshipping at the altar of yesterday, there are things that we are just not able to fix. The good news is that God will restore things from the past in the present. That should give us great comfort and peace that we can rest, leave things alone, pursue Him and watch Him do His work. Joel 2:25-27 "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame." PLANTED IN HIS PRESENCE God wants us to begin to create powerful moments that have their roots in His Presence. Everything about us memorizes events whether positive or negative. When we are creating memories that have their source in the Presence of God, then we are training ourselves after a life that is in sync with righteousness, peace, and joy in His Spirit. When our lives are planted in His Presence He is a shield to us, a fortress where we can be safe. We can be secure in God knowing that if He is for us... then who can be against us? Outside of living in His truth and Presence, we are vulnerable to the arrows that come against us. When our hearts are yielded to His Spirit, we yield the fruit of that life, dedicated to advancing His Kingdom, which is peaceable and filled with His joy. REST AND TOTAL SURRENDER Matthew 11:28-30 - "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." We need to make every effort to experience the rest that God has for us. The only place we find this is in a place of total surrender and worship before Him. When we find solace in His Spirit there is flow in our lives that is effortless. God wants to take away the strain of worry and fear and replace it with His grace, faith, and peace. Keep on the path of making memories with God. Continue training your senses to His Presence, goodness, mercy, and truth. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

Song of Solomon 8:5 -- "Who is this coming up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved?" In order to learn new ways to walk, we must first learn to lean. Proverbs 3:6 -- "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Leaning on our Beloved often requires us to lean away from our own understanding. His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts. This often leaves us with a lack of understanding. When leaning and depending on God for direction, more often than not He will ask us to do things and go places that make no sense to our natural ways of thinking. And when we begin to obey His leading, the "leaning" will become even more essential. Intimacy and dependency are vital for receiving knowledge and revelation about how to walk and where to go -- as well as the timing of each step. STEPPING OUT OF BONDAGE INTO TRUTH Psalm 25:4,5 -- "Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; build me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long." As we allow the Holy Spirit to show us every lie that had held us in bondage, we allow Him to exchange them for the truth that will set us free. The accuser had been shouting accusations at God and His people, but we need to know how to quiet our hearts in order to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit that will lead us into all truth. DREAM BIG -- EXPECT LARGE Ephesians 3:20,21 --" Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!" It is time to live like those who know that HE IS ABLE! "Go possess the land." (Numbers 13:30). We need to quit limiting our expectations and "dream big" -- advancement to our DESTINY depends on it. God may ask us to do something that would exceed what we would ask for or even imagine. He may give us something that is more than we imagined, but we must be willing to hear and obey even when it makes no sense. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: What is God asking of me? What are my dreams? What are His dreams for me? Am I ready to see God do immeasurably more than I ask or imagine? Is His Word truth? Then He is able to do more! His power is at work in us so we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. AFFIRMATION: I imagine big and then learn to follow His lead as I lean. The cave of Adullam is where David hid with his band of distressed, indebted and discontented men (1 Samuel 22). From these 400 came David's mighty army. After David was anointed King, the Philistines came against him and he went into the "hold" (2 Samuel 5:17), which 1 Chronicles 11:15 indicates was the cave of Adullam. David sought the Lord and had victory. The Philistines regathered and David once again sought the Lord. "Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said unto him, 'Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees. And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.'" - 1 Chronicles 14:14-15 KJV It is time to come out of the caves of hiding, the caves of "lowland" thinking, and renew our minds to the highest realms – the mind of Christ. The veil has been torn and we have access to all. Our "lowland" thinking is creating the bars of the cage holding back the glory of God from manifesting in our lives! We needed to be in the cave for a time of healing and building, but it is now time for His glory to be manifested in the earth. The sound of the "going" in the mulberry trees (according to Strong's Concordance) is "marching." The armies of the living God are on high alert, waiting for the sound to come forth, and He will go before us and fight our enemies! It is time for the new sound to be birthed. It will cause a vibration that will affect every born again Believer to come forth in His Glory. It is time to go forth and subdue the land. The subduing is not a laying down under, subduing will come when His sound rises as thunder. All will see and all will know that Jesus is Lord -- let His glory flow. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  9. "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." - Ephesians 6:17 We start out in simple faith, trusting Him regardless of the circumstances. Then God makes a way when there is no way. We possess our promised land (see Joshua 6:1-5) with step by step obedience. When you come up against your spiritual Jerichos, you've got to have the Word of God in your heart. Without it, marching around Jericho won't do any good. But with the Word in your heart in your mouth, you can march around impossible barriers declaring God's Word. Those walls have to come down. VICTORY DECLARATIONS: In all things, I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loves me. - Romans 8:37 God always promises me the victory in every circumstance. - 1 Corinthians 15:57 Thanks be to God who always causes me to triumph in Christ. - 2 Corinthians 2:14 I take possession of what belongs to me in Christ. Matthew 16:6 -- "Watch out! Jesus warned them. 'Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.'" Ephesians 1:17 -- "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him." The Pharisees emphasized knowledge over revelation and their blatant disregard for God's voice. Of all the people that Jesus encountered, His harshest statements were toward the Pharisees and Sadducees. He called them "dead tombs" and a "brood of vipers"? They were more interested in asking provocative questions and they tried to justify themselves with their own so-called "knowledge" of the Old Testament. And because of their spiritual ignorance, they missed out on the most important move of God in history -- the Messiah. They proved out the Scripture that says, "Where there is no vision (no redemptive revelation of God), the people perish." (Proverbs 28:18). MOVING TO A DIFFERENT SPIRITUAL POSTURE God wants to move us from living a life full of head knowledge (Greek - Gnosis) into His understanding and His revelation (Greek - Epignosis). That takes us moving into a different spiritual posture. We have to start listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying, waiting on Him and His revelation, and start walking that out instead of being satisfied with just knowing about it. We need the reality of scripture working in our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. That's the difference between knowledge and revelation. One HAS, the other DOES. God is giving us the best occasion of all: to work with the very Bread of Life and participate in what God is cooking. One of His requirements is just that we leave our leaven behind and follow His directions. AFFIRMATIONS: I ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to me the mysteries that are locked in scripture. I hunger for and receive revelation as part of my everyday life. I seek on-going, life-changing revelation from God. On-going revelation and encounters with the power of God launch me into understanding of things I've never understood before. I must have my own revelation from the Father of who Jesus is. I refuse to settle for a shallow mental understanding of Him. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  11. Genesis 3:1 - "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" When we succumb to guilt and shame, we give in to the single oldest temptation in the Bible - the temptation to question our identity and God's identity. The very first temptation in the Bible was not to partake of forbidden fruit, but to question what God had said. The serpent said, "Has God indeed said, ' You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" Once he got them to doubt God's integrity and identity, it was easy to lure them into foolish actions. In the same way, before the devil tempted Jesus with anything else, he tried to pry Him away from His identity: "If You are the Son of God...." (Matthew 4:6). He wanted Jesus to doubt His identity. So what is the devil's strategy with us today? Affirmations: I AM A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST. I AM THE RIGHTEOUS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. I HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. I AM AN AMBASSADOR FOR CHRIST. I AM IN CHRIST JESUS. Romans 5:3,4 - "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope." Jesus did not come to deliver us from our problems, but from ourselves. He did not come to change our circumstances - He came to change us. "Others mocking said, 'these men are full of new wine.'" - Acts 2:13 "New wine" - a new order, new inspiration, new manifestation, a new creation. It is God's mind to fill us with that wine, to make us ready to burst forth with new rivers, fresh energy, no tired feeling. What shall we do? Believe -- stretch out -- press on -- let there be a new entering in -- a new passion to have it. We must drink deeply of the new wine, that multitudes may be satisfied and find satisfaction too. 1 Corinthians 1:31 -- "As it says in the scriptures, 'If anyone is going to boast, let him boast only of what the Lord has done.'" If someone were to ask us, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" we would probably tell him, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved." A rich young ruler asked Jesus the same question but instead of telling the man to believe in Him, Jesus gave him the law (Mark 10:17-22). CONSCIOUSNESS OF LIVING BY THE LAW Jesus saw that the young ruler lived his life taking PRIDE in his ability to keep the law to earn salvation and the favor of God. But because of His love for the man, Jesus had to show him that those who live by the law must realize that their self-efforts cannot save them. So Jesus had to tell him, "One thing you lack....sell whatever you have and give to the poor... and come... and follow Me." When the young ruler heard that, he walked away sorrowful. BOASTING ONLY IN JESUS When we boast of having kept the law, it will always point out something we lack or have failed to obey. The law is so holy and perfect that if we don't keep even one small part of it, it has no choice but to judge and curse us. (Galatians 3:10). That is what the law was designed to do. Let's boast only in Jesus' finished work on the cross -- that He is our strength, health, favor, prosperity, wisdom, hope, salvation, and glory. That is how we will see ourselves enjoying our inheritance of abundant life! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

We must not perceive things the way they are in the natural. The Body of Christ is entering a time of transition and God is about to raise up a new breed – a Jonah Generation. Sometimes, the Western Church can look more like an institution; maintaining an appearance of having its act together when the reality is that many are backslidden in their hearts. Many others are caught up in a merry-go-round of being slaves to the system rather than being heirs of the Kingdom. This Jonah Generation will rise from among those who once had a life-changing mandate from God – a word, a prophecy, an encounter – but who walked away from it because of the religiosity in the Church. These people have not necessarily hardened their hearts, or intentionally gone off the rails, but they, nevertheless, have walked away from their mandate and gone back to trading. God is calling back these "Jonahs" who have walked away from their original CALLING and mandate and have instead gone into business. God uses business and finance for the Kingdom, but not if you're running from your true CALLING and mandate. This is precisely what Jonah did. He had a calling to declare the word of God to Nineveh, but in fear of its great wickedness he walked away from his mandate. He fled to Tarshish, an ancient city famous for its trading in silver and gold. This Old Testament story is very much a prophetic message for today. On his way to Tarshish, Jonah was swallowed by a big fish. In a dream, a big fish may be a metaphor for a Believer, but it is also a metaphor for revelation. THROW YOUR NET ON THE RIGHT-SIDE The disciples had a three-year encounter with Jesus, witnessed the resurrection, and had a clear mandate to "Go into all the world," but John 21 shows us that they didn't see that as a way of life. When Peter announced he was going back to his fishing business, some of his fellow disciples went with him. Jesus on the shore called out, "Have you caught anything?" When they told Him they'd caught nothing, Jesus told them to throw their nets on the right side. Walking away from our mandate and going back to trading makes it easy to forget the Lord and become dull and numb to the revelation of Jesus Christ. When the Lord told the disciples to let down the net on the right side, the nets were completely filled but without breaking. This is a metaphor for the new wineskin and the big catch is a metaphor for the revelation of Jesus Christ. The disciples said, "It's the Lord!" and Peter immediately swam for the shore to be with Him. The disciples gathered around the fire that Jesus had made to cook the fish they caught, and they had communion with Him. They ate, they had revelation, and they were restored to their heavenly positions, especially Peter. JONAHS WILL HAVE THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST When Jonah was swallowed by the big fish it was as though he was enveloped by the revelation of the heart of the Father. Remember, the fish took Jonah to the deep heart of the ocean. This is a picture mirrored in Psalm 42:7, "Deep calls to deep." Jonah went to the deep heart of God, and following that revelation of who the eternal God is, the fish spewed Jonah onto the shore. Jonah was spat out and released into the natural realm as one prepared to deal with the dark evil of Nineveh. But Jonah was a sign and a wonder, who walked into Nineveh, opened his mouth, and saw that whole atmosphere of darkness changed. He could do that because he was not a slave to the system anymore, but exercising spiritual dominion over it. The result was that Nineveh's leaders bowed the knee and repented. In raising a Jonah Generation, God will restore people who have been perceived as "backslidden." They will have revelation of God's PURPOSE for their life and come into the intimacy that activates the Kingdom of God. They will be people who walk in signs and wonders that change the whole atmosphere of their environment. At the present time there's a lot of darkness covering the earth, but it's the dark before the dawn, and we need to see it with hope and excitement. This darkness is to inspire followers of Christ to rise up to be instruments of the Kingdom in their divine CALLING. For many, this will be Joel's "valley of decision" (Joel 3:14) to bring in the greatest harvest ever seen on planet Earth. We need to be encouraged and fasten our seat belts. Jesus Himself said in Luke 21:28, "When you see these things happen, lift up your head, because your redemption is near." Psalm 24 tells us to "lift up your heads you gates and allow the King of Glory to come in." The new breed of the Jonah Generation are the gates. Who will let in the King of Glory? "They said to one another, 'Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?' And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them, saying, 'The Lord has really risen and has appeared to Simon.' They began to relate their experiences on the road and how He was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread" (Luke 24:32-35). When we discover who Jesus is at one level, He will empower us to know Him in a deeper and more profound way. Our hearts are ignited to burn with a passionate love. The living, resurrected Word will manifest in flesh (our flesh) once again. Jesus was the firstborn of many brethren. God knew Jesus was the prototype, the first of many sons and daughters to come. God had a divine plan from before time began. God knew us before He brought the world into existence. After we are saved, He gives us His PURPOSE for our life. God fashions the lives of those who love Him to reflect Jesus' life and ministry on earth. Every one of us mirrors a diverse form and reflects a different aspect of Jesus. God orchestrates everything to bring forth His love and PURPOSE in our life. God is faithful to establish us in our CALLING, to build us until we are transformed into His image. We see who we are destined to become in glory when we see Jesus (see Romans 8:28-30). As we mature in Christ we take on His form. We look more like the God we love. None of us look the same as we did ten years ago. If we are not continually changing, then we are stagnant. Remember, we are destined to know Him from glory to glory. "He said to me, 'Son of man, can these bones live?' And I answered, 'O Lord GOD, You know.'" - Ezekiel 37:3 God is always standing by, ready to breathe new life into anything lifeless when we ask. He is there in our spiritual springtime and in the cold, winter months. And He is even closer, hovering nearby in our darkest hours, according to Psalm 34:18 where it says: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." This scripture asks the question, "...can these bones become living people again?" The word living does not only mean to come back to life after being physically dead, it also applies to brokenness, a dying dream, a losing struggle, and times of hopelessness and despair in any area of our lives. To live means to be refreshed, rejuvenated, revived, or to be given the promise of life. It also means to be restored or renewed—or simply to be made whole again. Just as the wind breathed new life into the dry bones from the Ezekiel passage, God wants to resurrect our spirits as well. He wants to welcome us into His living presence and impart that same resurrection life to us, breathing new life into the dead places in our lives. And while some may come along and say, "God can't use us," God is saying otherwise, and His is the last word on the subject! "Therefore, prophesy and say unto them, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel." - Ezekiel 37:12 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
