  1. Psalm 32:6 - "Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely in a flood of great waters they shall not reach Him." We have been called to be the sons and daughters of the King who is above all kings. To disregard such an honor is to fall to the same tragic fate as Esau, who traded his birthright as an heir of the promises for a mere bowl of soup! How many of us have not traded much more for much less? How many of us have been frivolously wasting our time when we could have spent it before the Throne of Grace? Even so, regardless of the terrible delusions that we have succumbed to, if we repent the Lord can make up all of the ground that we have lost much more quickly than we could ever believe. As Peter explained: 2 Peter 3:8 - "But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." The Lord can do in us in one day what we think would take a thousand years. His grace is not dependent on our abilities or disabilities, or on time. If we repent of walking in the delusions of devotion to things that are temporary, we can right now be as close to Him as we want to be, and our deeds will begin to have the mark of eternity on them - we will begin to bear fruit that remains. Affirmations: I UNDERSTAND THAT MY FOUNDATION FOR GREATNESS WILL BE REALIZED IN MY CONSTANCY OF PURPOSE. THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT IN LIFE THAN GIVING MYSELF TO MY DESTINY - THE PURPOSE OF GOD FOR MY LIFE. I FOCUS ON MY PURPOSE WITH SUCH A CLEAR, BIBLICAL VISION THAT I AM ABLE TO MAINTAIN THE CONSTANCY REQUIRED FOR ACCOMPLISHING ALL THAT I WAS PLACED ON THIS EARTH TO DO. Psalm 34:1 -" I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Affirmation: MY PRESENT FOCUS DETERMINES MY PRESENT JOY. Psalm 69:30 - "I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving." "You will also be [considered] a crown of glory and splendor in the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem [exceedingly beautiful] in the hand of your God." - AMP Wear the crown of glory that He would have you wear uprightly. Lay down any identity that man would come with. Man would come and try to push His crown off your head, and put upon it a counterfeit identity. Lay down all these things that rush into your mind – to where you cannot even come into His presence, because your mind, your spirit, is somewhere else. Press it aside. Press forward in the run of faith. And know, as you run in faith, you will meet Him, face to face, for in His Presence are the answers for every circumstance you are in. You do not understand what is available to you. He brings forth that which would birth life around you. Call everything that would command you to die – to give up dreams and visions and hope – command it to be cast behind you, for it is of satan. Tell him to get behind you. Tell him that he cannot hinder the CALLING that He has placed upon you. Understand who He calls you to be. You are more than a conqueror in Him, and by His Spirit -- through you. "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." - Romans 8:11 If God the Father was able to breathe new life into the lifeless body of His Son, then you and I are also beneficiaries of this great gift – given to us when Jesus died and was raised from the dead. But it's up to us to grab hold of this gift in faith and believe it as if it were so, because it only comes alive for us as we apply it and say, "It's mine, and I'm not taking no for an answer!" Once we do that we are supernaturally empowered and energized by the mighty power of God—unstoppable! Psalm 84:11 says, "No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly." That means that He will never refuse to restore to those who ask for help. No one is too far gone if they're still alive and breathing air. In fact, Psalm 116:2 puts it this way: "Because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!" Jesus was raised from the dead by the power of God the Father, and that very same power already resides in us because His Holy Spirit lives inside us. With this inborn power, God can resurrect our dreams, our godly ambitions, and our passions. Every good thing that's been lost can be restored to even greater heights through the miraculous power of God. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  3. By not speaking, desiring, nor reasoning, we reach the central place of the inward walk -- that place where God speaks to our inward man. It is there that God communicates Himself to our spirit. "For God alone, my soul waits in silence." - Psalm 62:1 We recall that Jacob wrestled with the Lord all night, until daybreak? THEN it was when the Lord blessed him. We persevere against any and all difficulties which confront us in our seeking the Lord's presence in our spirit. We are steadfast until the Lord gives our spirit His blessing. AFFIRMATIONS: As I take one step beyond my own limits, God will give me victory and success as I tap into his mighty power. As I speak the Word to my spirit, I am strengthened and encouraged by God. That same Power that raised Jesus from the dead, enables me to rise out of my adverse circumstances and step into the purposes of God for my life. Start with small amounts of time talking with Jesus. As you get to know Him, you will want to be with Him more and more. God says to His servant, "You will bring Me glory"(Isaiah 49:1-6). Now, glory is the revelation of God's power and attributes, sometimes accompanied by visible phenomena. Because this is a word for us today, if you quiet your soul and listen carefully, you can hear the Father saying: "You will bring Me glory." Why did God create you? What is your purpose here on earth? If you have never understood the call of God upon your life, you cannot have an understanding of your full covenant with Him. Some people think their calling is to sit in church and support someone else's vision. While it's good to do all you can to encourage someone and support them – each of us has our own CALLING in Christ Jesus. And at the end of the road, Jesus is going to ask you, "What did you do with the anointing I put in your life?" Matthew 25:25,26,30 - "And I was afraid and went and hid thy talent in the earth...His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant......And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." We get impressions from the Lord but think they are our own imagination, or something else, and don't act on them. Now we're certainly not chosen, possessed, and holy to do nothing and to live mediocre lives. Of course not! We're called to minister in the presence of God, to live an active role in His presence. Our lives are a priestly service through: 1. Holy intercession, and 2. DISCIPLING new believers into their inheritance in Christ. 1 Peter 2:9 -- "For you have been chosen by God Himself -- you are priests of the King, you are holy and pure, you are God's very own -- all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light." You know there are things you are doing now that are temporary. You are doing them only until you find the thing God wants you to do, the real work you were meant to do. When the fire reaches your core, you will trash all the vestiges of harmless, powerless living. Charles Spurgeon once said, "Very few Christians believe in the resurrection." If we really believed in the resurrection in our hearts, our lives would be radically different. We would not be so consumed with the things that are temporary, but rather with the things that are eternal. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  4. Luke 1:18 - "And Zacharias said unto the angel. Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years." Luke 1:34 - "Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, since I do not know a man?" Both Mary and Zacharias asked how these miracles would occur, but it is evident that Mary asked "how" in faith while Zacharias asked "how" in unbelief. It is clear in scripture that unbelief doesn't please God (Hebrews 11:6), but the Lord doesn't mind us questioning Him for the purpose of instruction so we can cooperate with His will in our lives. Abram knew that it was God's will for him to have a son, but Abram and Sarai came up with their own plan which caused them and the world much grief (Genesis 16:1-6), Abram would have avoided many problems if he had asked the Lord how He was going to accomplish this miraculous event. If Mary had not questioned this angel, she might have reasoned that Jesus would be born through the natural union of her and Joseph. This would have been a grave mistake. It would have disqualified her from being used. Affirmation: I KNOW IT'S NOT ENOUGH JUST TO KNOW GOD'S WILL; I CONTINUE TO SEEK THE LORD UNTIL I KNOW GOD'S PLAN FOR ACCOMPLISHING THAT WILL. Isaiah 26:3 - "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee." PEACE IS NOT THE ABSENCE OF CONFLICT, IT IS THE ABSENCE OF INNER CONFLICT. Romans 8:6 - "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace". Galatians 5:22 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith." "Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." - Revelation 22:1,2 The Lord calls His vessels, those that are even empty; He calls them to come and drink of His Spirit, to come to be filled fresh, strong. His wind will blow away the staleness, the familiar, the comfortable, but it will blow in a NEW THING: You will know it by His peace that will be in the midst of it. You will know it by the instructions of truth from His Word that will establish it. You will know it by the presence of His Spirit that will hover and instill it – write it on your hearts. You will know it by the quickening of His Spirit to your spirit. You must choose to come. For He has given you the RIVER OF LIFE already. Will you allow His water to overrule your thinking, and wash away unclean thoughts, negative thoughts, thoughts of anger, rage, disappointment, and fear? Will you allow His water to come and to take down all that would cause your thoughts to come against His highest plan for you? For He wants a pure and holy people – filled, spilling over, with the river of God. Come. Do not despise thirst, but come, for thirst is a calling card of His Spirit to come. Be not content to linger and wander in the desert of brokenness and disappointment, but set your face like flint, and come to the River. For He will part the Red Sea for you, too; for the Blood of Jesus has already won all that concerns you, but you must come. John 7:38,39 - "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.' But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive;" ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  5. He is calling many of His people out of still, dead works in 2019. He is calling them to come in to where there is the action of His Spirit. When there is action there will bring a reaction. It will be a reaction of healing, of salvation, of the baptism of His Spirit. Get ready to be a people who look for the 'reactor' of the Lord your God. In this process, many are going to be compelled in the midnight hours to fall on their knees and ask for fresh revelation of their CALLING in Christ. He is shutting down doors to places where you have become to be comfortable in. He is going to close single doors; but He is going to open double doors. "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." - John 3:8 The reason single doors will close is because it will be the singleness of man's thinking that He will be closing down. The double doors He is going to open is going to be 'the double door' that will cause the waters to part for His Spirit to come in and visit fresh upon His people to fill their lack of understanding and revelation. LAUGHTER, HEALING, AND HOPE True humility comes when you rejoice in Him and acknowledge His greatness. He will bless His own with laughter, and healing, and hope. For He is about to put up the trumpet and you will hear a new sound that will go forth, but you will recognize it because of the discernment He has put into your spirit. You will recognize the right call with the right note. And you will jump, and your spirit will leap, with acknowledgment of His Spirit. He is reawakening His faithful who have gotten discouraged. So be not concerned for changes, but keep your eyes fixed upon Him, for assignments will overtake you, and you will know they are by His Spirit. For there will come forth one voice, one battle cry, one agreement, and one provision, and it will be done by His Spirit. "....Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts." - Zechariah 4:6 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

    A LIFE WITH NO LIMITS

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." - Luke 4:18 God is bringing us to a place where we know the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. If we have not got to that place, God wants to bring us to the fact of what Jesus said in John 14, "...I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever." Because the Spirit of the Lord came upon Him who is our head, we must see to it that we receive the same anointing, and that the same Spirit is upon us. DWELLING IN HIM There is no limit as to what we may become if we dwell and live in the Spirit. In the Spirit of prayer, we are taken from earth right away into heaven. We feel as we speak in the Spirit that the fire which burned in the hearts of the two men on their way to Emmaus (Luke 24: 13-32), when Jesus walked with them, is burning in our heart. It is sure to come to pass when we walk with Him, our hearts will burn -- it is the same power of the Spirit. They could not understand it then, but a few hours later they saw Him break the bread, and their eyes were opened. LIVING IN THE SPIRIT There is a place where the Holy Ghost can put us where we cannot be anywhere else but in the Spirit. But if we breathe His thoughts into our thoughts, and live in the unction of the Holy Spirit as He lived, then there will be evidences that we are in Him; and His works we will do. "To know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God." -- Ephesians 3:19 "Filled with God" means you are emptied of self, leaving no room for doubting or fearing. You are filled with love, and perfect love casts out fear. LIVING IN ABUNDANCE If we will only live in the Spirit and the unction of the Spirit, there will be no lack. There is only lack where faith is not substance. If we will obey the Lord there is nothing He will not give us since He has given us Jesus. The Spirit will have to reveal to us that fact that, because He has given us Jesus, He has given us ALL THINGS. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: Am I willing to lay down all that I may have God's all? Am I willing to seek and don't stop seeking (Matthew 7:7,8) until I know the Spirit of the Lord is upon me? Am I willing to cry out to Him until the Glory of the Lord is upon me? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  7. Acts 10:38, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." Jesus was always taking territory. God calls us to invade and have an impact. We don't need to wait around for something to happen then "react" to it. Rather our actions should be making the enemy react to us. We are in a battle to see people restored to the Father, restored in their lives and made whole in the presence of Jesus. Be intentional about all that you do. Know that Jesus has given you power, authority, influence, and a life PURPOSE in the Holy Spirit to see lives changed. Expand the horizons of the possibilities in what God can do through you. He has no limitations and intends to overflow our lives with His life-changing presence. Philippians 3:7,8 - "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ." Paul considered everything prized by his culture worthless compared with the awesome experience of knowing Jesus. Affirmations: MY TREASURE IS IN JESUS. I LOVE JESUS ABOVE ALL ELSE. JESUS CALLS ME TO A HIGHER LOVE, TO EMBRACE THE BURNING AND PASSIONATE HEART OF GOD. "God knew what He was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of His Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity He restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him." - Romans 8:29 The Message Seek first the Kingdom of God. Let His righteousness do rightness all around you. For, understand, when those come to oppose you – lift up His right hand, His Word, against that. For His left hand will sustain you, and His right hand will give you the direction of counsel, by His Spirit. For He is raising up a people who are hungry to seek His Kingdom, hungry to taste of the Kingdom, and hungry to rule in the Kingdom. Understand and meditate; dwell upon His Word. Seek His face, for when you seek Him with your whole heart, absolutely, positively, unconditionally, you will find Him. For you must realize, He presents Himself to you, for His Kingdom is among you, and His Kingdom is within you. Change citizenships. Think of His Kingdom. Understand, as His Kingdom representative. As a citizen of His Kingdom – knowing His knowledge, knowing the authority He has given you in His name -- use it with His Spirit, for He will not leave you alone, but He will direct, lead, counsel, and anoint you. For He has called you to do the works of His Kingdom. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

"Therefore, prophesy and say unto them, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel." - Ezekiel 37:12 Here God makes us a promise that He will bring us out of the darkness, opening our graves and allowing us to live again! We just have to listen and obey God's Word. Are there areas of your life that need a touch of Heaven? Ezekiel promises us that God is always watching, always ready to breathe new life into these dead and lifeless areas of our lives. To be resurrected means far more than just bringing someone back to life. To be resurrected by the power of God makes us stronger, more mature and more powerful than we were before! And God always makes good on His promise of resurrection to anyone who belongs to Him. He alone can inject new life into dead places. All we have to do is ask, obey, wait, and receive. There is no situation too hard for God to overcome—not physical death, not spiritual death, not emotional death. This same gift of the resurrection already resides in each and every one of us, as God's children, when His Spirit lives inside us. "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." - Romans 8:11 The term resurrection means to stand up again. This can be taken literally, to mean reviving an individual to a living state of consciousness, or it can be taken figuratively, as in reviving profound spiritual truths so we can experience God's tangible peace, joy, and love. And this can be applied to any area. There is no situation too hard for God to overcome—not physical death, not spiritual death, not emotional death. TRANSFORMED AND UNSHAKABLE

"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." - Romans 12:2 (NLT) Political correctness, new cultural norms, and social pressure are trying to reshape the very fabric of the Church to be conformed to this world instead of being the transformational force we are called to be by the renewing of our minds by God's Word (Romans 12:2). The enemy has loosed a spirit of seduction, deception, and intimidation against the Church that, if we are not strong, will cause our very foundations to crumble. In 1 Samuel 30, we see the story of David at Ziklag. At Ziklag, the Amalekites attacked and robbed David and David's men, taking everything that was precious in their lives. The Amalekite spirit is indicative of a vicious, violent spirit of robbery. These were desperate times and David had a decision to make: would he give in to what was happening in hopelessness, despair or would he attack back? David did the wise thing and inquired of the Lord. The answer was clear and emphatic: pursue, overtake, attack, take back and recover all! This is the same answer that the Lord is decreeing to the Church today: "Attack your lack and don't look back!" DON'T LOSE YOUR CONFIDENCE The enemy wants to shake your confidence. You must be bold and believe for the great things God has promised you. David was able to calm himself and seek God and receive the word he needed to hear in order to continue to advance toward his destiny. The enemy wants to rattle your cage and get you off your game but don't let him. Scripture declares: "The God of peace will soon crush satan underneath your feet..." (Romans 16:20). We pursue the Lord first so God's peace will allow us to hear His voice and guide us to victory. DON'T LOSE YOUR HOPE! Hopelessness is a direct attack against the nature of God. The enemy wants to rob our hope of seeing things change or regaining our possessions. We must not shrink back in despair, but rise up in hope and faith. We understand that Christ in us is the very hope of glory and the banner of victory to bring the change God wants. "For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory." - NLT ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  12. "And said, Verily I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven." - Matthew 18:3 It is very important that the foundation upon which we stand is "The Rock," our Lord Jesus Christ, and that our life is hidden "in Christ." If our spiritual experience is resting on sand, that is, if we are trusting our own abilities, we will fail when the pressures of life increase. We can walk in stability and confidence with Him if we hold to the potential that rests within us before the Lord in simple child-like trust -- we will be enabled to rise above the limitations that we place upon ourselves, and enter into all that He has made available for us. When difficulties affect us and we begin to lose our spiritual direction, if we will become quiet and look to the Lord, we will recognize that beneath our vacillations is a layer of spiritual strength and hope that had been deposited within us through our identification with Jesus in His death and resurrection -- which was confirmed in the peace that came when He took up His abode within us. We need only to realize that we are a new creation - that old things have passed away and our life is hidden in Jesus, and that our strength comes from Him. With David, we should be able to say, "The Lord is my light and my salvation..." (Psalm 27:1). If we will meditate on the past victories that we gained by placing our lives in His hands, this will become personally real to us. Paul said, "I press toward the mark..." (Philippians 3:14). This "mark" is ourCALLING in Christ. We look past our vacillations to see there is within us a deep inner determination to press through to the place where our responses no longer emerge from our Adamic nature, but from the new creation that we have become. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  13. Ephesians 1:9 - "Making known to us the mystery of His will (of His plan, of His purpose). In accordance with His good pleasure which He had previously purposed and set forth in Him." Ephesians 1:17 - "For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation (of insight into mysteries and secrets) in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him." We cannot afford to live only in what we understand because then we don't grow or progress anymore; we just travel the same familiar roads we have traveled all of our Christian lives. It is important that we expose ourselves to impossibilities that force us to have questions that we cannot answer. It is a part of the Christian life, which is why the Christian life is called "the faith." The normal Christian life is perfectly poised between what we presently understand and the unfolding revelation that comes to us from the realm of mystery. AFFIRMATIONS: I SEEK ON-GOING, LIFE-CHANGING REVELATION FROM GOD. ON-GOING REVELATION AND ENCOUNTERS WITH THE POWER OF GOD LAUNCH ME INTO UNDERSTANDING OF THINGS I'VE NEVER UNDERSTOOD BEFORE. I COME ALIVE TO THE WOOING OF GOD INTO INTIMACY SO I WILL KNOW HOW HE THINKS AND MOVES. Genesis 1:2 - "And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." If the Holy Spirit can make a glorious creation out of the most desolate place, He can bring forth a glorious new creation out of the most desolate, confused, and empty life. "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." - Ephesians 6:10,12 What would you do with the might of His Spirit? Would you allow it to flow out of you? Would you allow it to change you, and raise you up in His own glory? Do not let man cause you to fall, to slumber, or to come halfheartedly before His throne. Butpress forward, and come in BOLDLY, for you have an appointment through His Blood. Let His Blood come and transfuse back to you the might of His Spirit, so you too can do signs and wonders, and come to the understanding of who you are, and who He is. Come boldly. Come, allow Him to let His hand rest upon you, and give peace to your mind, peace to your heart, multiplication to your finances, answers if you need answers, and healing if you need healing. Come unto Him all that are heavily laden. Let Him alone be the one that gives you rest. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

    Daily Word - February 7, 2019

Hebrews 11:1 - "You need to see your miracle in your spirit before it will manifest. You need to see it as finished." There is something in the heart of God that likes to move in the impossible. There is something about the heart of God that likes to move when something is dead. There is something about breakthrough and the dawning of a new day that comes when you are so dead and hopeless you do not know if anything is going to be able to happen. That is when God is going to come. "Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent you may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him." (John 11:14-15) We must see it in our spirit. We must catch a vision and revelation of what Jesus has already done. We must see ourselves healed. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He did not have to lay hands on the dead. There was authority in the Word of God. What is dead? Maybe your faith is dead. Maybe your relationship with God, your marriage, your children, your body, your church or even your ministry is dead. See the situation and command resurrection power to be released. Let your hope rise again and your faith be resurrected. Contend for miracles as your vision is restored. See the power of His life come. He is the Resurrection and Life! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/

    ADVANCING FORWARD

"Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called," - Ephesians 4:1 "For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning" - 2 Peter 2:20 Scripture instructs us to advance forward in our calling and to be more like Jesus. It exhorts us not to turn back to our old life or the rudimentary ways of this world. In the last days, people will have itching ears to hear what they want and not endure sound doctrine. Instead, they will seek out teachers to tell them what they want to hear. God cares about your comfort, but not at the expense of your destiny. He will offend your flesh, put you in a wilderness experience, crucify your self-life and put you in a trial, all to perfect you and make you more like Him. Unfortunately, too many people in the Church have decided that they would rather be comfortable back in Egypt than to become an army called to possess the Promised Land. CONVENIENCE, COMFORTABILITY, ENTERTAINMENT Convenience has replaced commitment. Comfortability has replaced being conformed to the image of Christ. Entertainment has replaced worship and sacrifice. Tolerance—being non-offensive and all-encompassing—has replaced preaching the truth with conviction and repentance. Let's not bow down to the idol of convenience or go back to Egypt and captivity only to face God's judgment. COMPROMISE TO THE CURRENT CULTURE Some have bowed down, becoming more like the world, in the name of being relevant. How could it happen that people would use grace as an excuse to sin or live like the world? Paul has said that God forbid that would happen. We are warned of false teaching and false teachers. The law of grace is not a lower standard but a higher one in God. It not only deals with your actions but your heart motivation as well God's warnings are clear: Don't compromise with the world. Don't become a friend of the world and compromise your faith, your godly standards and your relationship with God. Let's not bow down to the golden calf of compromise! COMPLACENCY AND THE CARES OF THIS LIFE If the enemy can't stop us, then he'll just distract us with all the concerns of life. He'll get us so caught up in the mundane day-to-day that we stop dreaming and discovering. He'll try to cause the hard things to harden our hearts and dominate our passion. He'll try and turn our eyes to escapism and entertainment or deaden our dreams with the drudgery of everyday pressure to just survive. Dead religion and ritual will want to supplant a passionate pursuing of God's plan for our lives. This can become a golden calf that diverts or depresses our energy for Heaven's purposes. RECOMMIT AND GET ON TRACK If you're hurt— seek help. Seek God and let Him heal your heart. It's time to get over it and get on with it. If you're hard—humble yourself. Let grace flow and soften your heart. Seek God. If you're distracted—focus, commit and get your life back on track with God. If you're compromising—read the Word with an open mind. Confess your sin and repent. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you, convict you and help you change. If you're facing something impossible—rise up in faith. Lift up the sword of the Spirit. Fight, shout your doubts out and cast the enemy out. If you feel hopeless—allow God to re-ignite His vision in your life. Remember your hope is in God. If you feel powerless—choose to use your weapons and your authority in Christ. Remember God's got your back! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
