Significance of the 4th watch
We can seek the Lord and pray during any time of the day but if you want life transforming encounter the best time is the 4th watch. What is the significance of praying during the 4th watch? That’s between 3 to 6 am in the early morning hours. From what I have seen from scripture and also from my personal prayer journey, this time of the morning is highly effectual in harnessing God's transforming power in a greater measure for your life.
Jesus would get up a great while during the day to pray. He was praying during the 4th watch
David a man after God’s own heart says in psalm 63: O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee
Jacob wrestle with God during the 4th watch. He had such a significant power encounter with God that God changed his name from Jacob to Israel
Moses led Israel through the red sea during the 4th watch and as a result all pharaoh armies were destroyed. This was also the time that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. He defeated death and took the keys of hell and death from Satan. ( Mathew 28:1)

We can seek the Lord and pray during any time of the day but there are significant power encounter in seeking him during the 4th watch that is so life transforming not only for yourself but for your city and your nation. Anyone who desires to see kingdom advancement should consider “fasting" sleep at least once a week or better still on a regular basis.

Jesus often speaks about watching. Watching causes the heart to be vibrant and alert. The night watch is the best time of the day in preparing the heart of the bride in alertness and watchfulness for his coming. May we be found to be a people that are watching and preparing for his return?
