Why is God described as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as opposed to the God of Abraham? And can you see your answer within your interpretations of Revelation?

Here is how I see the narrative unfolding – This wonderful revelation of the Lord was given to the Apostle John. He was a prisoner on the island of Patmos for his belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As he was waiting on the Lord, He hears a loud voice behind him, as of a trumpet, telling him to write what he sees & hears in a book. John then turns & sees a vision of the one who spoke to him. It is the glorified Lord Jesus Christ. His appearance is like the sun shining in full strength. How awesome that would be to behold! The glory of Christ shone forth like the colours of light, revealing His character & abilities in a resplendent aura. John was overcome & fell at Christ`s feet as dead. But the Lord laid His hand on John & reassured him that He was `alive forevermore,` & now overseeing the Body of Christ. The Lord then explains that the `golden lampstands` John sees, are the `called out ones,` the Body of Christ. He is shown in their midst, the preeminent position, as their Head. It is God the Father who called Christ to this position. Thus I believe we see the first main vision of the Lord as the Head of the Body. It reveals Him as the empowered Son of Man, the Sovereign Administrator of the Body of Christ. `....in His right hand He held seven stars.` (Rev. 1: 16) What is an aspect of this glorious vision that you would like to point out? Marilyn. Now my references, the teachers that I learn from – Dr. Charles J. Rolls. (from the back of his books) He is renowned on several continents for his encyclopedic knowledge of Scripture & his radiant devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. Educated at the university of Cambridge, Dr. Rolls has been a missionary in India, & home director for the Sudan Interior Mission for New Zealand & Australia. He was founder or dean of Bible schools in New Zealand, Australia & the United States. Later relinquishing this ministry to concentrate on writing & preaching, largely in the United States & Canada. Where he now (then) makes his home. This photograph (on the back of the book), taken on his 96th birthday, shows Dr. Rolls with the Newberry Bible he has used for more than three-quarters of a century, bulging with hundreds of interleaved pages & notes & outlines in his meticulous engraving-like script. During his service in World War 2 as a Pilot, he was involved in a mid-air encounter & a consequent horrific plane crash. Blinded, paralyzed & helpless in the wreckage of his cockpit, God challenged him for future service. Subsequently he attended Melbourne University, graduating in Commerce (Economics) & Business Administration, followed by a very successful business career. God`s war-time challenge became reality, & he was invited to minister in practically every denomination in numerous countries around the world. He is currently (1992) the immediate Past President of the Apostolic Church in Australia. (Marilyn.I have been a member of this denomination all my life.)
