Greetings Snowdoove,

Revelations 1:4 ...Seven Spirits who are before His Throne. Who are these seven Spirits?

Revelation 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

the church is the body of Christ:

Revelation|1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and

the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

Revelation|1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou

sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The

seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven

candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

Revelation|5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found

worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

Revelation|5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep

not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David,

hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals

thereof.

Revelation|5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the

throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders,

stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven

eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all

the earth.

Revelation|5:7 And he came and took the book out of the

right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Revelation|5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four

beasts and four

I have read that, in speaking of the manifold duties and ministries of the Holy Spirit, the number seven is used here to emphasize perfection and completeness.

Likewise, the "seven churches" (while they were individual and real churches at the time of the vision) encompass the Church as whole, and it has been so throughout the whole history of that Church.

You might want to look into the significance of the number seven in the Bible, if you have not already. It is very interesting to note that the usage almost always is in a situation where it implies perfection/completeness.

It apears to be the Lord who has the seven spirits, whether or not it is a spiritual meaning where Jesus bought the church which is his bride, which makes them one, or there are seven spirits of God, rember seven is the number of perfection.

Revelation|3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis

write;

These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of

God, and the seven stars;
