My son needs a free way to make and print out flyers. Anyone know of a program that could be downloaded and used for free without a lot of space having to be eaten up on the hard drive? Free is the key hehehe, I made a rhyme!

Does paintbrush not work for him? If your after a professional quality, sometimes its best to pay, but if you don't need quite that fancy, gimp http://www.gimp.org/ or openoffice http://www.openoffice.org/ might do what he needs to.

Microsoft.com has many free templates for such things, Worshiper (provided you have a p.c., not a Mac).. No need to install or download software; you just download the app. or the document. :mgbowtie:

Open Office is a good option. There is also Libre Office, which split from the original Open Office and is a bit more refined, IMHO. (It's what I use on my machines.) Both office suites will read Microsoft Office documents, and there are plenty of template resources also.

Here's a comparison of Libre Office & the MS version: http://www.dedoimedo...oft-office.html

Thank you all. I will get him to check out the Microsoft.com and the other suggestions. Open office is what I have and it is a pretty big download for the internet situation we are in. Thanks again everyone God bless.

If you've got a laptop the wireless access at McDonald's or a coffee shop will be faster than dial up. There's also the option of getting permission at work or the library, etc. to download the software to a USB drive using the faster connection first, then take that and install it on the destination system. As far as big files go, do what I did when I was on dial up. Start the download at night before I went to bed and it would be done in the morning when I got up. :)
