Is this verse the same as you quoted and is it also mentioned in revelation also ? Isaiah 66:22-24King James Version (KJV)22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from onesabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.I have no polite reply to this! You see there will be punishment for the wicked absolutely. But is it an ever burning hell fire? No, as their punishment evil doers will be burned up not eternal torture but a quick penalty, the incorrigible will not burn forever instead they'll be totally burned up, they'll be destroyed, they'll be reduced to ashes by the flames of the Lake of Fire. Now that's what Jesus taught. Edited January 3, 2014 by Izzel
Guest DRS81
The wages of sin is death not eternal torment Take care It says the smoke of their torment Incorrect. Rev 14:10-11 he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever http://www.biblestudytools.com/commentaries/gills-exposition-of-the-bible/revelation-14-11.html That is, the smoke of that fire which torments them will for ever arise; or, in other words, there will be no end of their torment; hence their misery is called everlasting fire, everlasting punishment, and everlasting destruction, ( Matthew 25:41 Matthew 25:46 ) ( 2 Thessalonians 1:9 ) and smoke being very troublesome and distressing, is mentioned to set forth the very uncomfortable state of the wicked; and so it is used by Jewish writers: hence we read of (Mnhg Nnt) , "the smoke of hell" {r}, with which the eyes of the wicked will be filled in the world to come:
