But the White House, in cahoots with the Department of Justice, has set in motion a plan that will expand federal control of community police forces, via standards handed from above called the “Task Force on 21st Century Policing.” The plan was released Monday, Infowars reported. And its gist? Like Common Core, the education plan criticized by opponents as little more than a federal mandate that’s tied to funding, the just-released police plan would force local law enforcement agencies to follow federally set standards in return for receiving federal tax dollars. “The U.S. Department of Justice, through the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services [COPS] and Office of Justice Programs, should provide technical assistance and incentive funding to jurisdictions with small police agencies that take steps towards shared services, regional training and consolidation,” one of the plan’s points stated. The proposal also advocates for the federal collection of more data from local police. Guest shiloh357
Wow... This is just unbelievable. I mean, on the one hand, I am not surprised. But on the other it is still just hard to stomach.

This is just unbelievable. I mean, on the one hand, I am not surprised. But on the other it is still just hard to stomach. True. It still amazes me that there are people out there who believe Obama loves America and is not a socialist/communist. Yet, Obama is doing exactly what every other socialist/communist leader has done: 1. Take over the economy (through crushing regulations and punishing the wealthy class - the "bourgeoisie." 2. Healthcare (Obamacare) 3. Communications (Net Neutrality) 4. Military/police forces (Purging of Generals - the "old guard" - and filling the void with sycophants. And now this, "Task Force on 21st Century Policing." 5. Suppress the religious and political freedom of the people. (Using the IRS and Justice Dept. against those who's religious/political views are at odds with government goals. Not to mention his "cult of personality." Guest shiloh357
You are exactly right. When you put it all together... We are rapidly turning into a socialist/communist country. I never thought I would see it in my lifetime.
Guest Thallasa
Well it sounds more like fascism which is an extreme form of socialism .Some european countries have what Americans would call communism, ut is in fact social democracy, and is the best kind of governance in my opinion . We do not like America's 'dog eat dog' society ,and it's massive wealthy corporations, which 'feed' of the hardworking 'poor' .It is ant -christian. Would agree however that controlling local police in this way is very dangerous for a free society . Dangerous indeed .
Guest shiloh357
The "dog eat dog" is what spurs growth and competition. It's what drives inventors and companies to be better, to have better ideas. I would not want that to change about us. Many poor people come to the US and start and grow their own businesses and become wealthy business owners. They find opportunities for jobs and education they never had in their home countries. They come here for superior medical care, as well. We are not perfect, but we are still on our bad days, the greatest nation that has ever existed in human history.
