See, at least you made it a family choice. That's cool. You allowed your kids to have a say in what to do with it. That's the thing I'm getting at. Some just seem to want to cash for their own benefit.I know what its like to start over, and my dad did the same thing for me. Thanks again for your response. I have two boys (almost 13 & 15). They are the coolest guys in the world. Believe me, I know how blessed I am to have them. I used that money for them. I bought them new mattresses, some other stuff they needed and put the rest in their savings account. I actually do the same with the child support money (that is, when I actually receive some). I know that some people say that it should go to the support of the child...like to pay bills. I'm totally fine with that and understand it. I just choose to use what I need to use for them directly, then put the rest into their savings. I figure it will help them more later than it would if I used it for bills or something. Did that make sense? I think I'm kinda groggy today. Denise

In its self its a great idea, but like in all good people can ake it work to themselves

I am grateful for Bush to change the tax law but w/ thousands of dollars of bills & providing this is a very small amount. When the intangibles are missing like Love & discipline the river runs dry. The tangibles are merely a drudgery.

It's NOT the money. It's those that treat their kids like a big prize at tax time and taking them for granted the rest of the time. But, follower, since you brought up money, a 1000.00 to some would buy alot of *beans and taters* for a child, don't you agree?
