Imagine placing your hand on your house's front door and it unlocked for you. No, its not Star Trek. It's a new wristband device that turns your skin into a network server. Unlike technology like Digital Angel, this device actively addresses and communicates with other devices around it. The extent of the unattended communication is not yet know to the general public. The way this wrist band device works could almost be thought of as a digital telepathy for computers. I wouldn't be terribly concerned with it being used for any sort of Mark though. If the Mark is indeed what many believe, a sort of chip/tattoo/implant which would allow us to buy/sell/bank/etc, I don't think this technology will fit the bill. It requires physical contact to establish a connection, which, in a cashless society, would be rather inconvenient when you consider that wireless, hands free connection is not only possible, but well within our grasp.
