Measure of faith do some get extra? Or does it grow when you use it?

I think our faith in God grows as we know him. Our faith is in him and not faith in our feelings. We start to trust him more and greater as we obey his will. He then shows that he is with us in our walk. And our trust keeps growing.

I understand the different views , I may not quite understand faith correctly but for now 

For me it's you can't let doubt get ahold of you  when doubt pops in I say No

In the bible Peter is walking on the water toward Jesus gets scared and begins to sink

Matt14:

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
