Proverbs 6:20-23King James Version (KJV)

20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.

22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

It is good to imbibe the principles of God’s wisdom from an early age. They will be our guidebook for living, supervising and directing every moment of our lives.

I like Matthew Henry's comment on verse 22:

“If we govern ourselves by the precepts of the word all day… we may shelter ourselves under the promises of the word at night.”

Yes Deborah I do see in context by The Matthew Henry's comment on verse 22.

THUS also YHWH says "RAISE up a son in the way he should go,  and when he is older he will not depart from it".

Finding parents who raise their children right is very precious,  rare,  a beauty to see.   Their children do not lie,  nor harm others,  nor steal,  nor do drugs,  nor get involved in sex, drugs and crime by the time they are 12 years old, or teens.

They seek and serve the ONE TRUE YHWH, CREATOR,  FAITHFULLY IN Y'SHUA MESSIAH,  trusting and relying on HIM.

Lines up with the shema in Deuteronomy 6:4-9
