The sun at my right hand as we near the House of Bread,
When my love shrieks in a way that freezes us with dread.
We stop afar off and lay her down with crowds of questions,
Her eyes amiss in pain as we make our blind suggestions.
Why does her heart beat so loud? I swear I hear a drum!
I'm not losing her, am I? My Lord, what’s going on?
She yells giving birth then dies whispering "Ben Oni",
O sun of my right hand! What have you taken from me...

Inspired by Genesis 35:16-19

Alas, Israel died in childbirth, giving birth to the Messiah...hers was not an easy calling.  Salvation is of the Jews.  But it was necessary in the wisdom of God, that she die to the Law in order to be married to another.  No one having tasted the old wine straightway desires the new.  For He has concluded them all in unbelief that He might have mercy on all....oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God...how unsearchable are his judgments and His ways past finding out!  So thankfully she can be resurrected and grafted back into her Tree.
