Do your best to present yourself to God as a tried-and-true worker

who isn't ashamed to teach the word of truth correctly.”

2 Timothy 2:15

In God’s kingdom, people are always first…

Teaching is about transforming people.

So is every other ministry that God gives us.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Thanks for sharing this. Yes the word of God transforms people, but I do prefer the beauty & clarity of the KJV.  Studying & rightly dividing involves a lot of work & discernment. Yes, we do have a responsibility to others to share what we have learned.

Isn't it weird how different bible versions read totally different & give different meanings. For more info on bible versions you might read the book, New Age Bible Versions. I recently downloaded an inexpensive kindle book, 51 Reasons Why the King James: A Path fom Doubt to Faith.

I am only familiar with the New World Translation which a friend of mine recommended I read. This person is a "Jehovah's Witness", and does not think any other version is correct. Sad, but true.

I have a bunch of Bibles.  I figured that the more the better sounds like the right approach. My personal favourite is the ESV.

My church pastor always uses the ESV. I usually read the NIV, since that is the first version I ever had.

@Daily verse and quote

Beings that I'm an older Christian, I enjoy the NASB version the best.

But above that I go to God's original languages the Bible was first presented to the world in, Hebrew and Greek.

There is a completeness of understanding, and a beauty of God's reasoning and Gods purpose, that goes far beyond any modern version of the bible, in the original languages purest expansiveness and clarity.

Hard to learn, and takes time - YES, but far beyond man's interpretations that came afterwards, and with a depth of meaning man was unable to convey, in languages that were without the proper words, to truly express God's message to the world.

When you start learning and studying, your world will be opened up to a Christianity, most of the world doesn't recognize.

My name is Arrabon

Arrabon, I really admire you and your commitment to learning and studying new languages. I am older and so my interests have become limited. Sad, but true.

@Daily verse and quote

Yeah, I get the age thing. I'm was over 70 when God called me to this. It was a struggle for years learning, and finding all the books and materials needed was a challenge, but the results were more than I could have ever expected.

God was unrelenting in opening His heart to me for the wisdom and knowledge He passed on to me.

By the way, this was His calling on my heart. It wasn't my idea to learn these languages, but it turned into something absolutely astounding.
