Yes, it does seem hard to see a true conversion at times. So many professing christians live just like everyone else in the world. I pray God will open our eyes, reveal if we are unsaved or backsliden. May we have more faith, boldness, and dedication, drawing others to Christ instead of away from Him.

Yes, we need to assess our faith and daily commitment to do God's will. I believe many people are deceiving themselves that they are saved when they actually have a "head knowledge" like I did after I graduated from a christian high school. Can others see fruits demonstrating that Jesus in us or do they see a person living like a ungodly unbeliever with rotten, putrid fruit? Steve Camp had a few great songs. I recommend this one for anyone struggling with trials, persecution, failings and shortcomings.

I was wondering if anyone else has read The Trail of Blood (physical book or cheap on kindle) or similar books. I was surprised many years ago to read in it and similar books that there were always christians who didn't believe in infant baptism, that were never part of the catholic church, that always believed the bible, that could be traced back through history all the way to the time of Christ. They were called baptists, anabaptists, "rebaptisers" and many other names. Is this one of the aspects of history that is being hidden or covered up?

Wow, thanks for sharing this. The first verse listed became a favorite years ago for me to memorize and meditate on. Psa 119:165 KJV Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. I asked myself, what offends me? The answer was, if I truly loved the law of the Lord, I had great peace and the little irritating habits of others and the hugely hostile behaviors of others would not offend me. Not easy for some of us. So many really don't know what they are doing, they are so deluded. I have to remind myself to not get angry and attack the person, but pray for their eyes to be opened. I grew up with fundamental christians who felt that if you were a christian, you were automatically a republican. I felt it was more complicated and was very turned off with politics. (Animal rights & cruelty) Rev 11:18 KJV And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. (God anger towards those destroying the earth) I felt burdened for the country, so I did vote in the last presidential election, but deeply regretted it after hearing and seeing probably 100 instances of voter fraud afterwards through video footage & witness reports. Should we at least try to vote for the lesser of 2 evils? Does Satan use it for a distraction from witnessing, winning souls, bible study, fellowship, etc? Yes, sometimes.
