Faith.

It's impossible to please God without it.

We are justified before Almighty God the Creator by it.

Romans 3:28 -

For we maintain that an individual is justified by faith distinctly apart from works of the Law [the observance of which has nothing to do with justification, that is, being declared free of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God].

And you cannot receive the will of God for the life you've been given without it.

Does faith come from world news? No. Does faith come by reading fictional books? No. Does faith come from listening to anything that doesn't glorify Jesus? No.

Faith comes from hearing and thinking the Word of God.

Romans 10:17 -

So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.

John 1:1 -

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

Romans 10:17 -

So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.

What you think about affects your ability to live by faith. Think on those things that build your faith in God first. Everything else is secondary.

Romans 12:2 -

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

Philippians 4:8 -

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].

Shalom
