Trust me brother, those aren't spoilers. :( You'll just have to see it to know what I mean. The spoilers would be the answers to those questions. :emot-hug:

In all seriousness, I have very much enjoyed Lost. HOWEVER, I am beginning to wonder which direction the show is going. I hope it remains an enjoyable mystery and doesn't take a nasty turn, like say, new age?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No, they all mean something. They are found in alot of places in the episodes.

What amazes me more with all the reruns, is going back and spotting things I had missed watching it the first time. Things made sense watching it a second time.

Awesome show.

Kinda a mix of "Survivor" and Jurasic Park all in one. Instead of getting voted off, you get killed. :o

I cant wait for the next season to start! Now I have lots of mystery solvers online to figure things out with.

Does anyone know what the 15 and 42 numbers match up with?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It is thought that Hurley's winning lottery numbers - 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 - came to him, indirectly, from the island itself. The transmitter on the island has been broadcasting them since World War II, according to Martha Toomey, whose husband passed them to the man who passed them to Hurley. They are also engraved on the mysterious hatch in the jungle.

Hurley researched where the numbers came from. It turns out, the patient at the insane asylum who mumbled the numbers that Hurley played also befell bad luck as did people before them who used the numbers. They were cursed. Sure enough Hurley was cursed too.

48 People started on the island. 4 are now gone. The last episode hinted that there will be one more. So, there are now 44 survivors on the island right now, with a possible 2 more going soon, or not. You never know on this show, what is real and what isnt.

The number 815 also recurs through the story - as Flight 815, as two of Hurley's lottery numbers (8 and 15), as Sayid's room number at his Sydney hotel, as the model of the photocopier (the C815) Charlie sells in a flashback, in Locke's encounter with his mother (he points to aisles 8 and 15), as the date of Kate and Tom's time-capsule tape (August 15, or 8/15) and as the number of the bank deposit box Kate is trying to break into.

Dont forget the other items to keep an eye on this season:

The significance of the comic book and items that little Walt focuses on coming into reality. Does he have powers? Where did they come from? Is it his imagination and is there a connection to the island.

What happens to the people who take off on the raft?

Why was Locke the only person to have seen what "IT" is and have lived? Is he one of them? Is there a reason why he lived?

What is "IT" on the island?

What is at the bottom of the hatch?

Why do people see "dead" people from their pasts on the island? (Like Jack's dad)?

Is Hurley connected to everyone on that flight? We already know he has a connection to Locke as Locke was an employee at the Box Company that he owned.

In the last flashback episode for Jack, he met a hispanic woman. What was the significance of that flashback?

And what is the significance of the baby? We all know that "fate" led her to have the baby on the island and that she needs to be the one to raise him. There needs to be a "good" influence in his life, so the psycic said in Claires flashback.

We all know that everthing has meaning on this show, whether we know it at the time or not. So make sure you pay attention to even the smallest details ..especially during flashbacks. They often explain questions that come up on the island, or create new questions that get answered by what goes on on the island.
