For anyone who is interested, here is an excellent DVD series entitled, "Against All Odds:  Israel Survives"   It is six DVDs and discusses the miracles associated with the rebirth and survival of modern Israel.  It gives much credence to the fact that modern Israel a direct fulfillment of biblical prophecy.  Each story is about 1/2 hour in length, and it is well worth the money.   It is narrated by Michael Greenspan and is shot mostly in Israel, and he interviews many of the people who were actually participants in the stories covered in the series.  Below is an Amazon link:

Against all Odds  If the link doesn't work, you can easily find it on Amazon or at Christianbook.com, as well.  :)  Enjoy!

@JasperWalls11 There is a sense in which the idea of a Godly remnant - current of future - being preserved may imply that those connected by the flesh may also be in some sense also preserved, even though their character may not at all reflect what Scripture commends.

Israel isn't perfect.  But God is faithful to His promises in spite of us.  If God was only obligated to keep His promises to us when our behavior was what it should be, we would all be in a world of trouble.  :)

I do think 1 Cor. 10.32 does contain a lot of wisdom about the three groups of ppl that are in the world: Jews, Gentiles and the church of God.

The day of the Lord is coming.

All they who lift up their king they have chosen for themselves in Israel and all those who worship his symbol will be cast out.

The Day of the Lord

18 Woe to you who long
for the day of the Lord!
Why do you long for the day of the Lord?
That day will be darkness, not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion
    only to meet a bear,
as though he entered his house
and rested his hand on the wall
only to have a snake bite him.
20 Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, not light—
pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?

21 “I hate, I despise your religious festivals;
your assemblies are a stench to me.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings,
    I will not accept them.
Though you bring choice fellowship offerings,
I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.

24 But let justice roll on like a river,
    righteousness like a never-failing stream!

25 “Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings
forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?
26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king,
    the pedestal of your idols,
    the star of your god[b]
    which you made for yourselves.
27 Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,”

says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.

Yes, and the resurgence of modern Israel is through the hand of God, in spite of their sin.  God is always faithful.  Israel's sins does change God or His faithfulness to His promises.  None of us deserve God's faithfulness.  Israel exists and it is to the praise and glory of God.

True, but what's more important is that we give glory to God for His faithfulness to His promises.  :)

Yes ,and through United States weapons.

158 billion US dollars given to Israel by US tax payers to save Israel and deliver Israel from its enemies.

Yes, we have been a blessing to Isarel as they continue to fight a war of attrition by the Palestinians and surrounding Arab nations who are dedicated to Israel's destruction.    God has used the US in His protection of Isarel. That has been to our benefit.  Unfortunately, the current administration wants to empower the terrorists who are dedicated to Israel's destruction.

The Bible had definite things to say about those who bless Israel and those who curse Israel.

It is wise to understand them.
