  1. No one seems at all concerned that she is practicing an abomination with her life and that puts her on a road leading directly to hell. One of the reason the Church today has no power.
  2. From all that you know of Jesus, the real one as recorded in the Bible not the mythological one that the Church gravitates toward today, how would Jesus handle it?
  3. It'll just keep coming back till it eventually gets passed in one way or another.
  4. I thought we had gotten Iran under control a few years back. Why are they acting up again?
  5. Yeah, it's those little bitty things we do that are really the important things, everything is interconnected in ways we don't understand. If a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil might cause a tornado in Texas who knows what a simple thing like moving a duster off of a Bible might do.
  6. "Compulsory gender language" is forced speech and a direct violation of the first amendment, it should not take a law to prohibit it. It is also forcing a person to lie about another persons real gender, which is a violation of Christian and other religious beliefs and forces people to violate their religion which is also a violation of the first amendment so it is doubly true that it shouldn't take a law to prohibit it. Our nation is no longer a nation of law, it has become a nation of the rule of men over others for no other purpose than to force their will on them as supreme over others. The end of our country as a republic is near.
  7. This also indicates the lazy man finds excuses as to why he can't change, and holds on to his problems no matter how much he complains about them. It's one of the ways we justify maintaining the barriers between ourselves and god that we have. Nothing worthwhile is easy.
  8. As of late, I've started wondering if this dimension is in this dimension.
  9. A two state solution is not possible as a stable situation, the Palestinians will settle for nothing less than a one state solution that results from all Israeli's being dead and their territory dissolved foorever.
  10. Myths are frequently found to have real world origins and shouldn't be dismissed outright because they offer something that can be considered in addition to other factors. As for me, I find it interesting to consider but no more than consider at this point in time.
  11. I talked this over withj a couple of AI's right after I posted and both of them dismissed the idea of the existence of Nibiru but one outright just poo pooing the idea and the other giving some deeper and more more speculative thought to it then just concluding that there wasn't any real evidential basis for it although it could possibly exit and change how we have to view the predictably of the solar system.. I further discussed with each of them the potential implications of Nibiru in relation to the physics (astrophysics) in relation to the three body problem in orbital predictions and both seemed receptive to the idea itself as a mathematical exercise but with one basically saying "show me the evidence" before accepting it as a potential reality and the other giving considerably more creative contemplation to the concept and concluding it would introduce a basic unpredictable into the calculations and end up with (probably) unpredictable cataclysmic events seeming to happen erratically and with no real warning they were going to be upon us until they were. An interesting conversation, one that really doesn't do anything but raise additional questions about our limited period of observation in relation to longer periods, with the possibility of our seemingly stable and predictable system actually being just a short period of seemingly stability when it is actually just a period of transformation from one obviously chaotic state (from chaos theory) to the next chaotic state. *FWIW there are instances in the Bible, such as the sun and moon standing still instead of progressing and a sundial shadow going backwards that could possibly support this idea. AI's are interesting things, but God is always to be considered as supreme when using them this way.
  12. Interesting that this would come from the Pope in light of other things he has said recently. I wonder what the real reason for it is, the covert purpose not the overt one.
  13. No one is above the law. But not all laws apply to all people. Sometimes by the way they are written, some times by the way they are interpreted, and sometimes by the way they are enforced. That's what living in a free nation is all about, you're free to move into the category of your choice to avoid the laws you don't like.
  14. Interestingly enough, that system of leaving some behind for the poor to glean also requires that the poor go out and do the work of gathering the remaining crops for their needs, effectively requiring to work for them, not just be given them for nor no effort at all. This is in keeping with what God told Adam after he was expelled from the garden, that he would now have to work for a living. Just something to maybe give some thought to when considering the nature of our charitable giving.
  15. To clarify for consideration, are those days of Adam that are recorded including his time in the garden or are they counted from the time of his expulsion from it? (this cold lead to several different chains of thought)
  16. FWIW, I'm mostly of the opinion that prophetic events being announced through events in the sky (etc.) would have to be those occurring in the ME and as seen and experienced from Israel in particular, not in the other parts of the world alone, parts far removed form Israel. It wouldn't have made much sense for the prophets of old, those in Israel, to have been making prophecies to the people of the time that they would never be able to view coming into fulfillment and know that they were true. If it were so, they would have said so. The way I see it, maybe right or wrong as may be.
  17. That's a subject of discussion in itself, a very serious one that could take a great deal of time and energy to pursue. Things will not be perfected till the return, but that shouldn't keep us from trying to improve how we do what we do today to make it less discordant within the world we live in. Brings to mind the song Down by the riverside.
  18. Civilians get killed in wars. There is only one way to prevent it. Get rid of wars, find some method of conflict resolution that doesn't involve threat against threat to create an eventual resolution.
  19. And many of them -the first amendment in particular but others as well- have been turned into the exact opposite of what their intent was.
  20. Looking at the world through the eyes f game theory, we can be in a cooperative game or a competitive game. Simplistically (because I'm a simple man): We can be in a cooperative game or a competitive game. In a cooperative game the players (that's us) work together to produce gain for all involved, in a competitive game one player, or set of players, gains at the expense of the others loss. How would you analyze and explain what we see happening in the world, would you call that good or bad, and either way how would alter it to make it better if you see it as lacking for any reason?
  21. And if we obeyed the Constitution the problems we face today wouldn't be the problems we face today.
  22. They want you, but they'll settle for your children. If you love your children, don't allow them to be in public school.
