@Neighbor You can see in any case how for younger men and women their skin can be viewed as as a highly available asset for at least a simple faith based witness too, right?

No not really.

Let me use a secular example to explain.

Ross Perot had a very strict dress and personal appearance code set for sales representatives, including men being clean shaven. His reasoning was:  No one buys a computer system because the sales rep has a beard, but many will not  hear his presentation  if there is the distraction of a beard.

Tattoos are no substitute for the clean presentation in word and deed of the gospel of Yeshua. They are not even a good business card.

My own interest has been fully satisfied by my one piece of jewelry that I keep hidden under my shirt the same representation that is my avatar here. It is reminder for me, not for the world.  And even it has raised concern by at least one sojourner that has been on WCF.

In general a cross, any cross will also generate criticism for one reason  or another. Wrong style too big, had a crucified Jesus on it etc etc.

I do upon reflection think  let my life be my tattoo to be seen, for better or worse. Hopefully  to some it may be a light that points  or shines on Yeshua as our common hope certain.

i actually knew someone who got their tongue pierced, for faith based reasons.

@itty-bitty lamb So you quite like the idea of tattoos on some ppl, how they look.

Do you like the look of tongue piercings?

@itty-bitty lamb The lady serving in my local Christian bookstore who had a tongue piercing, must anyway have thought it looked quite nice on other ppl. And so likely went as well and had it done.

I think you said a preacher gave her a hard time at first, right?

But then if she thought it looked nice and no one else was being compelled to go have it done because she had, it really was her business only, right?

Yep. i never said it wasn't her business, and i believe i did express earlier that it was a decision made between her and God.
