What matters is to be found faithful.

Only the One to Whom we must be faithful can confirm this truth.

1 Corinthians 4:

1 Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ

and stewards of the mysteries of God.

2 Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you

or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

4 For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this;

but He who judges me is the Lord

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes,

who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness

and reveal the counsels of the hearts.

Then each one’s praise will come from God.

The utter foolishness for which others pass judgment on

The Lord's servants!

1 Corinthians 9:1 Am I not an apostle? Am I not free?

Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord?

Are you not my work in the Lord?

2 If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you.

For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

3 My defense to those who examine me is this:

4 Do we have no right to eat and drink? ....

And yet, if they condemned the Lord, they will also

condemn His servants.

Matthew 11:

16 But to what shall I liken this generation?

It is like children sitting in the marketplaces

and calling to their companions,

17 and saying:

We played the flute for you,
And you did not dance;
We mourned to you,
And you did not lament.

18 For John came neither eating nor drinking,

and they say, He has a demon.

19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking,

and they say, Look, a glutton and a winebibber,

a friend of tax collectors and sinners!

But wisdom is justified by her children.

Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge another’s servant?

To his own master he stands or falls.

Indeed, he will be made to stand,

for God is able to make him stand.
