A Faithful Remnant

Zephaniah 3:

8 Therefore wait for Me, says the Lord,
Until the day I arise for a plunder;
My determination is to gather the nations
To My assembly of kingdoms,
To pour on them My indignation,
All My fierce anger;
All the earth shall be devoured
With the fire of My jealousy.

9 For then I will restore to the people a pure language,
That they all may call on the name of the Lord,
To serve Him with one accord.

10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
My worshipers,
The daughter of My dispersed ones,
Shall bring My offering.

11 In that day you shall not be shamed for any of your deeds
In which you transgress against Me;
For then I will take away from your midst
Those who rejoice in your pride,
And you shall no longer be haughty
In My holy mountain.
12 I will leave in your midst
A meek and humble people,
And they shall trust in the name of the Lord.
13 The remnant of Israel shall do no unrighteousness
And speak no lies,
Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth;
For they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
And no one shall make them afraid.

Zephaniah 3:

Joy in God’s Faithfulness

14 Sing, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
O daughter of Jerusalem!
15 The Lord has taken away your judgments,
He has cast out your enemy.
The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst;
You shall see disaster no more.

16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
Do not fear;
Zion, let not your hands be weak.
17 The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

18 I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly,
Who are among you,
To whom its reproach is a burden.

19 Behold, at that time
I will deal with all who afflict you;
I will save the lame,
And gather those who were driven out;
I will appoint them for praise and fame
In every land where they were put to shame.
20 At that time I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;
For I will give you fame and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives before your eyes,
Says the Lord.

Zephaniah 2:

4 For Gaza shall be forsaken,
And Ashkelon desolate;
They shall drive out Ashdod at noonday,
And Ekron shall be uprooted.
5 Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast,
The nation of the Cherethites!
The word of the Lord is against you,
O Canaan, land of the Philistines:
“I will destroy you;
So there shall be no inhabitant.”

6 The seacoast shall be pastures,
With shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks.
7 The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah;
They shall feed their flocks there;
In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening.

For the Lord their God will intervene for them,
And return their captives.

God, the True Shepherd

Ezekiel 34:

11 ‘For thus says the Lord God:

Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.

12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his

scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from

all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.

13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them

from the countries, and will bring them to their own land;

I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in

all the inhabited places of the country.

14 I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on

the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold

and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.

15 I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord God.

16 I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away,

bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy

the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.

Isaiah 27:

9 Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be covered;
And this is all the fruit of taking away his sin:

When he makes all the stones of the altar
Like chalk stones that are beaten to dust,
Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.

10 Yet the fortified city will be desolate,
The habitation forsaken and left like a wilderness;
There the calf will feed, and there it will lie down
And consume its branches.

11 When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off;
The women come and set them on fire.
For it is a people of no understanding;
Therefore He who made them will not have mercy on them,
And He who formed them will show them no favor.

12 And it shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord will thresh,
From the channel of the River to the Brook of Egypt;
And you will be gathered one by one,
O you children of Israel.

13 So it shall be in that day:
The great trumpet will be blown;
They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria,
And they who are outcasts in the land of Egypt,
And shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

29 Do not rejoice, all you of Philistia,
Because the rod that struck you is broken;

For out of the serpent’s roots will come forth a viper,
And its offspring will be a fiery flying serpent.
30 The firstborn of the poor will feed,
And the needy will lie down in safety;

I will kill your roots with famine,
And it will slay your remnant.
31 Wail, O gate! Cry, O city!
All you of Philistia are dissolved;
For smoke will come from the north,
And no one will be alone in his appointed times.

32 What will they answer the messengers of the nation?
That the Lord has founded Zion,
And the poor of His people shall take refuge in it

As of now,the king of Babylon is ruling over the land of Canaan.

Zion will be founded after the fall of the king of Babylon and his kingdom is given to the fire.

It appears it may be near the end of 2028.
