Why does God change his ways?

I don't see much of a contrast. As wonderful as the Scriptures are, all of them combined only show a small view of what God truly is.

Why does God change his ways? He didn't change. Have you read int he book of Acts about the deaths of Annanias and Saphira? Or the death of Herod? God is still a jealous God. The difference, you see, can be described this way. Deuteronomy 20:10-12 10 "When you go near a city to fight against it, then proclaim an offer of peace to it. 11 And it shall be that if they accept your offer of peace, and open to you, then all the people who are found in it shall be placed under tribute to you, and serve you. 12 Now if the city will not make peace with you, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it. Since the death and resurrection of Jesus, we have been in a "peace treaty period" with God. That is, God through Christ has made the way for us to be reconciled and made subject to Him. For the past two thousand years (approx.), God has been proclaiming His offer of peacr to mankind. BUT, the time is coming when those who have rejected God's terms for peace will receive His full wrath. You may read about this in the book of Revelation. Guest yod
It is Yeshua who expounds on the concept of hell in the New Testament. Not much mention of it in the Tenach (OT) ....and many Old Testament prophecies of world-wide judgement and calamity are yet to be fulfilled. The Book of Revelation is, for the most part, only expounding upon the writings of the Prophets. And if you will read the first chapters of Deuteronomy, you find that the Father is gracious and merciful and forgiving. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
