Thanks much:) i am kinda glad that i can talk to people who are christians. I get encouragement when i go to church, but like on a monday night when i have had a hard day, i can come on here and talk about. or if i have a question or something. i think its pretty awesome i wonder if anyone on here has a myspace? John Chapter 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be 4 through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; Ah - but is it saying God created all things out of "nothing"? I think that when people say "nothing" they are trying to say that what He made did not come from anything we might call "matter." The idea that God created all things out of nothing comes from many places in the Bible which imply this. However, my personal favourite is Gen. 1:1. I know, it doesn't say "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth ex nihilo." BUT it most certainly implies it. See, "the heavens and the earth" is not just exclusively referring to the heavens and the earth. Rather, it is an idiom referring to EVERYTHING that is. Everything. The whole universe. Everything was made by Eternal God. Where else would it come from? Is there something greater than God that made some Great Play Dough in the Sky for Him to play with? Absolutely not! It's so amazing that God created everything. Just think of yourself for example, think of all the cells and bacterica that live inside you. A LOT. and we are so small compared to everythign else.
