You are welcome. You will find that some do not accept the literal reign of Christ on earth. That is OK. They will simply be pleasantly surprised when it happens.

As for the literalness of the literal reign of Messiah on earth, it is noteworthy that in the Old Testament, there are ever 1,800 references to the literal reign of Messiah from earthly Jerusalem, and 17 of the OT books give extreme importance to this event.

It is important to remember that in Jesus' day, the belief in the literal reign of Messiah was sooooo prevalent in the minds of the Jewish people that their obsession with it, obscured their ability to see who Jesus was in His first coming. I would also point out that Jesus NEVER condemned that perception of the Scriptures. Rather, He condemned the religious leaders for not knowing the time of their visitation. When the disciples asked Jesus if He was going to restore the Kingdom to Israel, his answer not not "no," but that it would happen at that the time appointed by the Father, and that it was not for them to know the time.

In the New Testament there are some 300 places where the reign of Messiah from earthly Jerusalem are mentioned and these references are in 23 of the 27 books of the NT.

The Bible is emphatic about this issue. I will discuss this in greater detail as the study progresses and feel free to challenge me, and ask questions. As long as they remain on the topic of the restoration of Israel, I will address them.

You are correct. All of us who are believers are part of the Kingdom of God which is not of this world. That is today, right now.

Yet, Jesus Himself shall also reign on the throne of David. This is yet to come. And it is as you say, a physical reign from the city of Jerusalem. The New Testament treats this as an end time event. The throne of David is always an earthly throne, it is never spiritualized in any place in all of Scripture.

Yes, a physical throne, this is what I was always taught in church, also how I take these scriptures to mean when I look at them myself.

So, Horizon, you don't think Jesus will physically rule on earth?
