OK question- do you mean like having a dance (social event) within church- or dancing while singing in worship (as in jumping, lifting your hands)?

I'm going to go ahead and assume you mean a dance including partners (like a Social event), not dancing during Sunday hymns. I believe that it is okay, but it should not be included during a service (something done either, after service on a Sunday or a different day altogether). The music should be strictly monitored (keep it clean, with a good message, no dirty music). They dancing should also be decent, no obscene dance moves or anything.

ok so, mostly you are talking about single person dancing in the Spirit, Dancing before the Lord as David.

i know of two differant churches that have opened their door to a folk dance club, to have a place to dance and practice. this was not a religious group, just a group of folks that loved to folk dance. (yes, partners too)

this folk dancing was not done during the survices.

they did Israeli wedding dances, and the almond harvest dance and other dances dating back to way back in the years long before Christ. they did russian dance, german, Native american..., line, circle square.... singles, parthners and even mixers.... fast, slow and intermediate speed dances... loads of fun and lots and lots of exercise..... and a good way to meet new friends
