The right to bear arms was not given by our government it is an inalienable right given by God. Our right happens to come in handy to protect ourselves from outward invadors and also against a repressive government. Where the government fears the people you have freedom, where you fear the government you have tyranny I would dispute the point that the American constitution are laws given by God. Proclaiming Gods hand is in something when it is not is dangerous game to play. US Constitution are man made laws. The right to bear arms was brought in to allow the population keep their weapons and prevent anyone taking them away in case the British or future force wanted to re take the country back again.
