Some points were mentioned that gripped me with regards to current events. We were talking about the symbolism of "water" and "land" in Genesis 1 . . . and then throughout the Bible. References to the seas and waters tend to refer to "the nations" or "the unsaved." References to "the land" tend to refer to "the land of Israel" or " the saved". Someone pointed out how it is interesting to note in Revelation that there will be a Beast that comes from out of the sea and another that comes from the land. From this perspective, the Beast from the sea (whom we tend to call "the Anti-Christ") will come from . . . the unsaved? The Beast from land ("the false prophet") will come from . . . the Church? Are you speaking in terms of the invisible church of Christ-followers, or someone who acts in the name of Christianity but does not know the LORD? What if this is how the Beast from the earth will be with regards to the Beast from the sea?

I'm fairly sure it's safe to say the OP means the latter.
