Any movie that proclaims Jesus as the only one able to forgive our sins deserves the attention of Christians and we should support this and show Hollywood that movies like these are money makers. Go, spend your 6 bucks - take your family and friends. Here's a link. http://christiananswers.net/spotlight/movi...neater2007.html I don't know if there was already a post about this and hadn't even heard of it until today. I rarely go to the movies and ended up seeing this and was amazed to see that this was obviously a movie made by Christians proclaiming Jesus. We don't see that enough these days, so please support this film. You won't be disappointed.

In the end, Jesus is definitely glorified. I didn't find the violence 'gratuitous' whatsoever. I was disappointed that my husband and I were the only ones in the theatre today. Michael Landon Jr. obviously has some influence and I sure hope this isn't a 'flop'. I'd like to see more stuff by this director who isn't afraid to boldly proclaim Jesus. The one that you watched is called "The Sin Eater" and the one I just saw in the theatre was called "The Last Sin Eater" and they are definitely two different movies. The one I saw is put out by FoxFaith films. Here's a link. http://www.foxfaithmovies.com/thelastsineater/ and so far, the critics seem to hate it. This should avoid confusion if there is anyone else who might have been confused by the similarities in titles.
