History is history. While history can be interpreted many ways, there are some things that just can't be forgotten. I wonder what these British teachers are telling their students exactly? The Nazi regieme... had a big national holiday bash for a few years in Germany... and... lots of Jews died by partying too hard!

There seems now to be no limits to the assaults on truth, whether it be in the interests of muslims, atheists, or whatever. It's staggering the lengths people will go to to get away from the truth. Guest lnj
How can Blair be fighting terrorism overseas when it's happening in his own backyard so to speak. If you are going to talk the walk..walk the walk too!

If the truth offends someone that's too bad. They should revise their opinions. There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades - where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem - because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques. Then the local mosques will have to deal with that problem. The report said teachers feared confronting 'anti-Semitic sentiment and Holocaust denial among some Muslim pupils'. Then the UK should provide extra training for the teachers to handle these situations. A third school found itself 'strongly challenged by some Christian parents for their treatment of the Arab-Israeli conflict-and the history of the state of Israel that did not accord with the teachings of their denomination'. Then their denomination will have to deal with the problem.
Guest Biblicist
Those who are ignorant of their past are doomed to repeat it. my son: very true
Guest lnj
This is not unique in the sense that true history isn't told or taught. Remember the Ancient Egyptians and their failure to shed light on the truth of wars? History repeats but this time not being taught because of "fear". This is a sublte and accepted form of terrorism. Guest lnj
Anti Semitism and Nazism is on the rise in Europe once again. Saw a doco on TV on the subject and it was truely frightening. Alot of young men looking for an outlet to hate are joining in large numbers.
