I have no way of knowing how much evil was present 2000 years ago. But I look around today and see a pretty evil world. We have whorehouses and crackhouses. God was kicked out of our schools. How many millions of babies have been aborted now in the United States? It's near impossible now to rent a movie without hearing "G*d d*mn" said a number of times or seeing folks stripping down or having sex. We no longer watch TV. Gay rights....San Francisco is our own Sodom. I could go on. I don't think it's safe to assume we are a righteous nation. Does today's evil come from the evil of man or from demonic causes (or a combination)? What is not tangible is near impossible to prove, so anything you or I can say is only conjecture. The truth is found in scripture. I do agree that we need physicians and pills today, particularly in our time of falling away & lacking of faith. What did Jesus say about the lack of faith in the end times? I can't find the verse.
