But I do have concerns about the cancer thing. Would it be fair to ask him to run a complicated country while he is battling this disease? This is being said tongue in cheek. I vote for George. I know he is a down to earth christian who has enough energy to do the job. Anyone else in here want to write him in?

I know he is a down to earth christian who has enough energy to do the job. Anyone else in here want to write him in? The cancer issue is serious, but he answered questions about this in an interview with Fox News Channel, and said that the cancer is in remission, and he is suffering no ill effects. He also said that if the doctors hadn't told him about it, he wouldn't even know he had it. It is his belief that it won't have any effect on his ability to run the country, and I have no doubt he is right. I do believe that it would increase the importance of whoever was his running mate. While he is not my ideal choice, politically and because of experience, I believe his smart choice would be Senator Voinovich from Ohio, because he has experience running the state having served as Governor, and is still well respected among his constituency. That will be a key state for us, so even though I didn't agree with his position regarding Bolton, he would make a politically good choice as the number 2 man. Don't know much about Voinovich... I'm still thinking Gingrich for #2.
