shilou :thumb: been their, been through that.

To be honest outside of Satan Christians have thrown the most stones. These are personal decisions that I make so I don't truly understand why everyone gets so upset with how I choose to live with God.

Your very act of changing your life style and their understanding of the reasons for it causes them to feel uncomfortable about their own decisions in the areas you mentioned. In attacking you they may be trying to justify themselves. To them your very action acts as a kind of condemnation against their actions and therefore a threat to their conscience.

Adstar    WOW :exclaimation:

I have to say your explantation has really opened my eyes...I never thought of myself and my lifestyle as threat to others...that made them look at themselves...thats why so many of my supposed friends have disappeared from my life lately ???

If you all don't mind I think I will print out this thread to show to a friend who has stayed with me and went for salvation at the same time I did...she is a little confused to  on why so many went away.

  You are all so wonderful!!!

Love and Blessings,

Angel H.

Amen refugee. That is why is it so important for them to see Christ in us, through our changed hearts and minds, so that they too will be drawn to the Lord.

Satan also uses people even Christians for his dirty work.

Shilou - I always love your posts. They're so right on. What I especially appreciate about your attitude is that you state your position, (ex. not celebrating Christmas), but you don't condemn others who differ.

That is a wise and mature attitude.

I know there are things we must take a stand on, but I think Christians should be careful to hold our tongue and  patient and kind in all things.

I do celebrate Christmas but I do not feel that you would condemn me for that - nor would I challenge your convictions.

You are correct...fellow believers are notorious for throwing stones. Maybe they mean well...and are being zealous for the faith, but it can be counter-productive.   - Cat
