What we say effects what we think; and what we think colors how we feel." - I totally agree! It comes back to the power of the mind and the renewing of the mind. This is why I wrote yesterday that I need to see myself as God sees me. He has a better view of me and it is also very positive!!!! I need to think about myself in a far more positive way ... but that is SO hard to do! Well, I suppose that I made a little step yesterday towards being more positive about myself by the fact that I got through the day without being suicidal. Today I had a trigger which forced me to remember something that I didn't want to remember. This pushed me into the downward spiral which has resulted in negativity, self-harming and suicidal thoughts. What a day! What did I do wrong? I have read my Bible, prayed and listened to worship music today. Everything was going OK until this trigger ... and then I wished that I hadn't even got up this morning. But even my bed isn't a safe place away from these triggers. They can happen any where, any time, any place and with no warning. I feel such a failure once again. Now I know that we shouldn't rely on our feelings and that feelings lie ... but, that is how I am feeling at the moment. That doesn't mean that I am a failure - it just means that I FEEL like one!!!!! - and it is not a nice feeling. ************************* I have just received a PM from a very kind person who has just stated that, in her opinion, I am a blessing and that God is using me. WOW! How can that be when all I feel is pain and brokenness? I don't doubt her word at all. I just wonder why I can't see that for myself. If I could see that, maybe that would help me to begin to like myself ... Oh well ... enough of my ramblings. Who is ready for another cup of coffee?
