Fine. That's all the more reason to be there for me and the rest of us mere mortals. Let some of that righteousness rub off on me. If you're really as "good" as you claim to be, then you'll naturally want to spread it around...yes? Otherwise, you're not really righteous. Just self-righteous. In other words, they are always referred to by somebody else, "as such a good person", yet there is never any mention or glory given to God in their "good works". I have a brother whom everybody loves and says he is the sweetest man, and he is! The thing I've noticed though is that he bases his good works on what a good man he is himself, rather than giving glory to God in the things he does. God never gets the credit, but my brother does, he's always referred to as such a good man. Just some observations I've had. Are we doing things to give God the glory? .............or ourselves? Like many others, we have close family and friends who are just not interested. we can only witness. But I did not say I was any better than anyone else ! Just a general comment regarding the "good person" theory. We're not supposed to be in this for ourselves. If a person is so truly righteous so as not to "need" the fellowship of a Christian congregation, then he should be there to edify everyone else. The news media haven't got the guts to put these testimonies on their programs, because they don't want The Truth getting out their before the polls open.
