They believe that this missing Imam will return to bring peace and stability to a troubled earth. Those who do not follow this Imam, notably Jew's and Christians will face trouble. They believe that Jesus will then come to help convince these Jews and Christians to follow this Imam. To me this sounds like the anti-Christ and his false witness? It is fascinating how close this belief is to our accounts in Revelation (of course we know the truth about this character already). What do people think? We'll just have to keep our eyes open.

Al-Mahdi looks very much like the Antichrist in the Bible. See this article for the comparisons http://al-mahdi.atspace.com/al-mahdi.html Isa (the Muslim Jesus) looks very much like the False Prophet in the Bible. see http://al-mahdi.atspace.com/isa.html There's also the ad-Dajjal (Antichrist in Islam) that looks like the Two Witnesses. http://al-mahdi.atspace.com/dajjal.html

The thing is we must look at these things, the reason being if they happen, the Muslims will of course say, look look everyone, Christians Jews, etc, we are correct. If people are unlearned about both our scriptures and theirs they may fall for this. I always wondered why Christ made such a point to not believe people who said, look Jesus is here, or look Jesus is there, I think we can have an idea of one possible case. Guest Chris777
I tried to read it but i couldnt tbh... I think we can better judge what is going to happen by the Bible and how Jesus said it will happen and we dont need to look at the qu'ran. I hate even looking at it i find it painful. Let's look at the signs that Jesus spoke of and take those as evidence and not worry about how the devil is going to try deceive us. Take a look at Luke chapter 21 what im trying to say is i cant stand to look at the qu'ran and i dont think that that is going to cause me to be deceived. I think to stay grounded in the real Word and far away from this junk is better to avoid being deceived Edited September 15, 2007 by Chris777

So when and if the hidden Imam who is actually the anti-Christ shows himself they are not deceived. You see the Muslims will say look this is exactly how our prophecy said it will be! It will be very convincing. How would someone who is not versed in prophecy feel when a supernatural being calling himself Christ, comes and says look this Imam is correct you should follow him? If we are ready now to point out that our scripture indeed predicts this very thing we can be ready.
