This is pathetic -

I'm trying to find images of the eclipse, and I'm not doing too good here.

Anyway, I did manage to find one page that has some images from a couple different countries.

Ah - here we go!

I managed to find an image of the Moon in totality with Saturn angled down to the left and Regulus (brightest star in the constellation Leo) above:

Far too cold to watch the whole thing, but I went out every half hour to see the progress. Pretty cool! By the way, I loved that alternate thread, hopper! I almost wanted to vote for the whole "be glad man on the moon isn't sticking his nose in our business anymore" but I had to vote for ted. :emot-shakehead:

An astronomy class was outside with some telescopes.

One of them was focused on Saturn (the bright "star" that was to the left side of the Moon). Now that was super cool! The scope was strong enough to see Saturn's rings.

My husband has a telescope and he once found Saturn quite by accident. It was so beautiful...especially the rings

I didn't get out and look at last night's eclipse...it was clear but way tooo cold!
