Lil sotphmfm Depends on what is being "talked" about? every situation is differant and unigue. its probably for the most part not good to get the kids involved in the bad thigs pertaining to divorce, but i beleive both parents need to be honest and 'TRUTHFULL" to the kids about everything. Should I take sides? Lil sotphmfm you allready know the answer to that one. sometimes its very, very difficult to keep quiet, but at times its the best thing we could possibly teach a young person in the midst of the turmoil. {you can be the excample, and thats what he needs more than anything else in the world right now, is stability, love and common sense}. You shouldn't have to take sides against your parents about grown up things that you have no control of and can't fix or change. Tell them "lovingly" to leave you out of it! The complications are not something you or any child needs to be dealing with. And I know you love your Dad, but he is wrong to put you into the middle of this. And there are 3 sides to every story, his side, her side, and those on the outside, and none of them are completely the full and honest truth. Is this your eleven yesr old son??? Your father talks to you and your mom, is the conversation about the 11 y.o. or the people getting divorced. Who is getting divorced and what relation are they to you and if it's not your son, who is it???
