Four judges discarded the votes of 4,618,673 Californians who approved the state's 'Defense of Marriage Act.' Voters understand that children should not be deprived of a mother or a father," added Perkins. FRC urged Californians to support a marriage amendment to the state's constitution, which is slated to appear on the ballot in the November election. "Anticipating this ruling from a court of activist judges, over 1.1 million California voters signed petitions placing a constitutional amendment on the ballot this November. The California Marriage Protection Act will provide voters with the opportunity to correct this exercise in judicial activism and to permanently protect the definition of marriage," said Perkins. Or is it because of global warming affecting their minds?

The CA judges cannot overrule their own constitution. Only the Supreme Court could rule that a state constitution is unconstitutional and that is not likely to occur unless the Illinois senator appoints 2 or 3 Justices of the Supreme Court. There is going to be a ballot measure to amend the CA Constitution in November. Pray for strong voter turnout among people with moral convictions and a fear of God. CA has been a Democrat stronghold for a few years, but maybe that will change this year.

They're not asking you to get married to a person of the same sex, so you don't have anything to worry about. the most ironic part of the whole situation is that the judges were appointed by republicans. That probably doesn't mean much in California.
