God came down in the form of a man, Jesus, to rescue us from OURSELVES. Jesus did not come down to start a religion, but to equip man to advance His Kingdom throughout the earth. To do this He had to deliver mankind from the curse of sin, so guilt and condemnation would not hinder the Believer in advancing His Kingdom (Romans 8:1,2).
John 14:10 -- "The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works."
