Jesus - Conclusion.

Conclusion.   As we continue to daily meditate upon our glorious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, we are being changed into His likeness. `For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren.` (Rom. 8: 29)   The things of this earth, trials, sufferings, difficulties, all become `strangely dim,` as that lovely song says when we look away to Jesus. `Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full

Jesus - Jesus the Lord in Eternity.

Jesus the Lord in Eternity.   Jesus the Son of God is the heir of all the Father`s estates. As Kingpriest He rules supreme with His sacrificial heart. Then as Lord He administers and executes the Father`s will, even in the ages to come. The Father `seated Him (Jesus) at His right hand in the heavenly places far above all principalities and powers and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. And He put all things und

Jesus - Jesus the Lord over the Nations in the Millennium.

Jesus the Lord over the Nations in the Millennium.   After Jesus has brought judgment upon the rebellious, He then sets up His kingdom rule through Israel. `Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us of His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” (Micah 4: 2) A man named David will rule as king. `And they shall serve the LORD their God and David their king.` (Jer. 30: 9)

Jesus - Jesus the Lord over the Tribulation.

Jesus the Lord over the Tribulation.   When the Body of Christ is complete Jesus takes it to His own throne in glory.  There He is enthroned with His Body as the King High priest with His people as Kingpriests.  Jesus receives all the glory, honour and power for He alone is worthy. The Father then gives Jesus the scroll, the legal document of His will to be carried out. Thus, in His office of Lordship, Jesus steps forward and takes the scroll. Only He who is the `Lion and Lamb,`

Jesus - Jesus the Lord over the Body of Christ.

Jesus the Lord over the Body of Christ.   The Lord holds the scepter of supremist authority and administration. This is portrayed as the `seven stars in His right hand. ` (Rev. 1: 20) It is a picture of the Pleiades, (7 stars) which draw our solar system around the Milky way over a thousand years. If the Lord has power to do that, how much more is He able to manage the Body of Christ over the centuries and across the world. The Lord Jesus Christ is the founder and perfector of th

Jesus - Jesus the Lord.

Jesus the Lord.   Lord – This office is held by one who has the right to administer in some sphere or capacity. It could be national, social, or spiritual. It is also the executive part of the government, carrying the laws into effect. It is the exercise of power and can be signing and sealing of laws. Thus, the Lordship of Jesus is not just a name but a title carrying authority and power. `…He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords

Jesus, King in Eternity.   This is a picture of the fiery, glorious throne of Jesus the King overall. `I (Daniel) watched till thrones were put in place. And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; a fiery stream issued from before Him, a thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him.` (Dan. 7: 9 & 10) In et

Jesus, King during the Millennium.   `The LORD (Father) said to me, (Son), “I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to me, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; …` (Ps. 2: 6 – 9) When the kingdoms of the world become the kingdoms of Jesus the King, He will rule them with

Jesus, King during the Tribulation.   `The Lord (Father) shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies!` (Ps. 110: 2) The Father tells His Son to begin ruling in the midst of His enemies. So, who are His enemies? `Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break their bonds in pieces and ca

Jesus, King on Mount Zion.   The Father said, “I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.” (Ps. 2: 6) Jesus is appointed king by His Father and set on the highest ruling position – Mount Zion. This is in the third heaven where the angels are. `You have come to Mount Zion…to God….innumerable angels….to Jesus…`                                                                                                                             (Heb. 12: 22 & 23) Mount Zion on ea

Jesus the King and a Priest.   `The LORD (Father) has sworn and will not relent, “You (Jesus) are a priest after the order of Melchizedek.” (Ps. 110: 4) The Father has made His Son not only a priest, (and a high priest) but also a king. Those two offices were never put together in Israel but were separate. However, Jesus is appointed king and priest after the order of Melchizedek. `For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High,…` (Heb. 7: 1)   Melchiz

Jesus - the heavenly High priest for Israel.

Jesus, the Heavenly High Priest for Israel.   `Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. And He was given much incense, that He should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.` (Rev. 8: 3) God`s Mediator is now revealed as the High Priest of the heavenly sanctuary for Israel. He is shown in angelic form before the golden altar. This indicates the ceremony of the Day of Atonement for Israel.

Jesus - the heavenly High priest for His Body.

Jesus, the Heavenly High Priest for His Body.   `…We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected and not man. ` (Heb. 8: 1 & 2) The apostle John saw a vision of our heavenly High Priest. The details draw upon the imagery of the High Priest in the Temple in the Holy place with the golden lampstand. These represent the Body of Christ down throug

Jesus - Jesus the High Priest.

Jesus the High Priest.   The Tabernacle (& later Temple) were only temporary till the Great High Priest came who took His own blood into the sanctuary of heaven for forgiveness of the whole world. This is God`s own Son, Jesus. God`s Son was divinely appointed a priest unto God. `The LORD (Father) has sworn and will not relent, “You (Son) are a priest forever... ` (Ps. 110: 4)   The Priesthood of Jesus is far superior to the Aaronic priesthood.  Jesus` Prie

Jesus - The Priests in Israel.

The Priests in Israel.   When God made the nation of Israel to reveal His righteous rulership to the other nations, they rebelled against Him. This then necessitated that God show Israel how to come to Him for national forgiveness. God gave to Moses the detailed plan of a structure, the Tabernacle, that would have within it the means of forgiveness for the people. God then had Moses set up a priesthood in the tribe of Levi, to officiate in the ceremonies of the Tabernacle. The Le

Jesus - The Early Priests.

The Early Priests of God.   When Adam and Eve sinned God showed them His way of forgiveness and how to draw near to Him. `for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. ` (Gen. 3: 21) The blood sacrifice was God`s way to cover their sin and Abel their son knew this too. `Abel …brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respected Abel and his offering. ` (Gen. 4: 4)   Thus, people in early times often built

Jesus - the Son at the Father`s Right Hand.

Jesus the Son at the Father`s Right Hand.   When Jesus had finished His work as Saviour on the cross the Father raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand. `God the Father ….raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.` (Eph. 1: 20) `when He had purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.`                              (Heb. 1: 3) There at the Father`s right hand the glorified Son, Jesus, is exalt

Jesus - the Son is the Firstborn.

Jesus the Son is the Firstborn. `For God so loved the world He gave His only Son..` (John 3: 16) `And she (Mary) brought forth her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger,…` (Luke 2: 7) The Father gave His only Son, His first born to the world to redeem it.   Jesus receives the birthright and two positions of responsibility.  Looking at the typology of this in Israel we see that the first-born in Israel was Reuben. He should hav

Jesus - the Son Named of the Father.

Jesus the Son named of the Father.  Jesus enters the human race through the nation of Israel. This heritage is very important as it is the legal requirement of a kinsman to bring redemption. Then the naming of the Son was not left to human will but of God the Father. He sent an angel to Joseph to make the name known.  The function of a name is to reveal the character and purpose. And this the angel revealed to Joseph. `An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying

Jesus - the Son.

Jesus, Son of God.   `These things says the Son of God,…` (Rev. 2: 18) The title `Son of God,` denotes identity with deity, in His superior status in the Godhead. The terms Father and Son in Godhead does not mean senior and junior as in our human sphere but denotes the express image of personality, the same mind, will and heart and oneness of being. `God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets has in these last days spoken

The Father`s Plans for Restoration – Jesus.   When God created the angels the most glorious angelic ruler (Lucifer) rebelled and was cast out. Then when God created man, in His foreknowledge He knew that man would sin and that the great estate, earth, would be overrun by the usurper, (Lucifer/Satan). This would result in sin, disease and death. God the Father however had purposed - `according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself that in the dispensation of the f

Jesus - Overview.

OVERVIEW   `that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings,…` (Phil 3: 10) To know the Lord, His character, and His purposes, is the goal of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As we learn and appreciate more of who the Lord is and what He has done and is doing in our lives, the more we grow up into Him. `speaking the truth (of Christ) in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the Head – Christ…` (Eph. 4: 15)   The Hol
