The Russian War in the Ukraine.

`I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords.` (Ez. 38: 4)

The description of the army has been translated in old fashioned terms whereas the Hebrew words are -  

Horses - `cuc` meaning moving rapidly.                                                                                 

Shields -`meginnah,`  meaning a protector.                                                                         

Bucklers - `tsinnah,` meaning something piercing.                                                                       

Swords - `chereb,` meaning a cutting instrument.

Thus this Russian army moves in tanks rapidly, with protection, as they fire missiles and bullets, piercing and cutting down all in their path. And this is what we are seeing today as the Russian army advances throughout the Ukraine.

The main reason for this `war,` is economic. Russia has only 7% of its land that is arable, the rest is mountains or winters so long that is cannot grow mass crops. The Ukraine is its bread basket and Russia cannot let them join NATO and be its adversary.

The Ukraine was also part of the former Soviet Union till it restructured and the nations became a Commonwealth of independent nations. Although they gained independence they still retained the same philosophy and ambitions - Communist.

Then overtime we see that some of these independent nations started to desire more connection with the West and some joined NATO.

This `war` will continue for many months, especially as NATO is helping the Ukrainian people to fight back against the Russian army.
