Jesus - the Son at the Father`s Right Hand.

Jesus the Son at the Father`s Right Hand.

When Jesus had finished His work as Saviour on the cross the Father raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand.

`God the Father ….raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.` (Eph. 1: 20)

`when He had purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.`                              (Heb. 1: 3)

There at the Father`s right hand the glorified Son, Jesus, is exalted to the highest place.

`far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

And He put all things under His feet.` (Eph. 1: 21 & 22)

These two aspects of our Lord – suffering on the cross and His exaltation - is illustrated in the naming of Jacob`s last son. The last son of Jacob was named by the mother and then later by the Father.

`Rachael travailed in childbirth….and so it was, as her soul departed (for she died) she called his name Ben-Oni, but his father called him Benjamin.` (Gen. 35: 18)

Ben-Oni – Son of my sorrow.

Jesus was `A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.` (Isa. 53: 3) (cross)

Benjamin – Son of my right hand.

God `raised Him (Jesus) from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.` (Eph. 1: 20) (ascension)

At the Father`s right hand the Son then moves on to the next part of the Father`s plan.

`The LORD, (Father said to my Lord, (Son), “Sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your footstool. ` (Ps. 110: 1)

Then –

`The Lord (Father) shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of your enemies! ` (Ps. 110: 2)

In Acts

7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

Jesus is seen as standing in heaven this is what Stephen sees according to a  bible scholar, this was Very significant. maybe Jesus was getting ready to receive Stephen into heaven. In any case if the Jews had accepted Jesus Christ as their Messiah then the tribulation would have commenced from then… the mandatory 7 years Dan 9:27 (I think.)

Yes, I agree, God was giving Israel time to repent as a nation, and then they only had 7 more years of chastisement to go. But then we know they didn`t and in God`s foresight we, the Body of Christ were able to be created.

the church age the age of Grace is a parenthesis in the time line...hence why the tribulation is such a key event because when that kicks off (shortly to happen imo) then a new dispensation starts. things go back to the 0T it will be as if the church age had never existed. and to get saved in that time will be hard to do for lots of reasons that i wont get into here.

suffice it to say anyone reading this and you still sitting on the fence as to whether to believe WHAT Jesus Christ did for you and to understand that you are a sinner and cant save yourselves only Jesus Christ can. your works are as filthy rags to God. Jesus Christ did it all on the cross paid for you in full the debt is cleared. you  would do well to accept the gift of grace from God its free and you will be with God in heaven for all eternity and we all have to die sometime..no matter what time in history that we live in.

the alternative is a life of separation from God and that is for all eternity...hell in other words .
