I believe in the eternal security of the believer. If one contiunes to act positively on his/her belief in Jesus Christ they are secure. The impression I get is there is mixed views about Americans and it is dangerous for anyone that is either American or pro American just to be there but that is not firsthand. a. Because they were under orders not to speak to reporters? b. He didn't get there till long after the fact? c. They were really Saddam's troops retaliating for helping the Americans and this is article is an Arab coverup? d. They were Chinese troops preparing to invade Israel? It is tricky. Why would Jesus commend someone for aparently doing something that is clearly unethical. He is depletting his lord's wealth for his personal security. It is something I have noticed lately that churches really don't focus very much on how we use our resources to eternal benefit other that giving to the church its self. When has a pastor ever told his congregation to personally visit the homeless shelter and try to help those people in a material way? Money is raised for ministries and projects but that is all. There is something fishy about that. What to do with material things has always been a difficult issue for me. I paid tithes for years and at the same time ran up hugh credit card debt. Then I decided that tithing was wrong and now my credit cards are paid off and I still don't know what or to whom I should give. I have concluded about this parable that the friends (according to Lightfoot) who receive us to eternal habitations are our Dear Friends, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Who else is capable of recieving us into such habitations that are eternal? The way we use our wealth to make friends is to give to those of whom He said in that ye did it unto these, you did to me. I'm still working on understanding this though.

God did not create when he said "let there be light". The light was a manifestation of Himself that was not at that point visible or known.
