We were talking about near death experiences and how many people have claimed to see the afterlife while technically medically dead for a few minutes. Then he went on about how it would seem to be against God's policy for that. What's the point of faith and all that if he's giving certain people a sneak peek at an afterlife? Then he asked wouldn't their faith be forever tarnished sine they witnessed an afterlife and basically had proof? Whats the bestway to answer that?

Is anyone else a big fan of this show? Always makes me feel good and has such a great message. It usually came on the hallmark channel for me every weeknight at 7 and again at 8 but i guess they took it off the air again! Still plenty of episodes I've never seen. I been looking on ebay and i see that they have seasons 1-4 on DVD boxset (which im going to get) but not the other 5 seasons which is dissapointing because like i said still plenty of episodes I havn't seen.

This about sums it up. But I wouldn't call what we have right now no more then a friendship. But I'll admit that in my heart i have already commited adultery and I know she has too. But there is no plans to be physical or even giving each other a kiss unil the divorce is finalized. Not sure if i can simply have nothing to do with her for a few months though! She believes in God and the son, wouldn't call her "Christian" though but she has a good heart and I think she want to better herself. Again Thank you all for everything posted so far, I respect the honesty. Im trying to learn as much as i can about this.

I don't believe you have done anything yet that could be called adultery, but if you keep on seeing this woman, it will likely lead to adultery. Do you have any idea why she is getting a divorce? Was her husband cheating on her? Unless the divorce is because of she was cheated on, even if it becomes finalized, if she re-marries, it is considered adultery. Yes she caught him cheaing on here several times and the guy may possibly have gotten another woman pregnant which is why she filed for the divorce. Also think your right, that if i continue to see her too much before its finalized it maylead to adultery. I appreciate the responses so far!

Okay, so I have been been hanging out with this woman a few weeks. She has filed for divorce and is seperated from her "husband". However it isn't finalized yet. We have worked with each other for close to a year, just started hanging outside of work. We really click with each other. We havn't done anything sexual. Just enjoying each others conversation, helping each otehr Christmas shopping, etc.... So am i doing anything wrong here? Please give me a straight answer, you don't have to sugarcoat with me. I thought about this a little this afternoon. I was thinking that if we could get all the Politicians in Washington to step out onto the Capital steps and open their mouths that the hot air might stop the Snowpocalypse right dead in it's tracks, or at least blow it North to Canada. so far the snowstorm is looking like a bust over here, thank God!

Personally, I don't think Jay-Z's music is worth the cost of a CD...and considering his lyrics, I am not suprised that he is attacking the Bible etc. However, as for playing a song backwards....people will hear anything when they play a song backwards. The majority of these so called "messages" are simply the result of an over-active imagination...if you weren't expecting to hear something, you wouldn't but someone starts a rumour about one of them and it snowballs. Yeah but alot of these are very clear. I could share some of the links with you if you wanted in pm's because i dont think we are aloud to post youtube here. I heard that whats played backward hits the subconcious part of your mind when your actually listning to the song and if thats true thats frightning.

I feel like such a noob asking a question like this. But i am completely lost on this subject. I usually listen to all genre's of music from rock, rap, hip-hop, little bit of country, gospel, etc. Lately i have been looking into "subliminal messages" of various artists songs. Playing a song backward never made much sense to me, but what i found was really disturbing....Alot of musicians have satanic messages hidden in there music and there is to much of it to be a coincidence. Some of these artists have clothing lines like Jay-Z (rocawear) that i actually own. Up untl a few days ago i never would have dreamed that Jay-Z sold out to the devil. But i have seen some of his interviews where he attacks the bible and some photos where he does pagan symbols with his hands. Some argue that it's just entertainment, but that could be part of teh deception. Satan is one smart punk, deceiving the whole world through ur favorite artists, actors, etc... I would love to hear everyone's opinion on this. Am i overthinking this? Or should i trash all my cd's, movies, clothes that are involved with these artists? Thanks in advance......

Osteen denies Christ is the only way. That's not the gospel. In what way does he do that and when did you hear him say that? Take a few minutes and listen for yourself. Ignore the host, just watch the video clips. Larry King put him in a tough situation with some of those questions. It is a little confusing that Osteen was afraid to admit that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. I did find that a little strange but I just dont think he wanted to offened other religions, he isn't a people basher...

He has probably never twisted scripture but what he doesn't do is preach against sin. People who listen to him never get convicted but all of us should get convicted from time to time. We all sin and conviction makes us work at not committing sin. Joel Olsteen preaches a message that is easy on the ears. It is a seeker friendly message that no one ever gets angry about. Even as you have said he always has uplifting messages and good stories to tell. But preaching is more then that. Look at all of the messages of Christ preached. His massages convicted people so that they felt shame and guilt at how they had been living their lives so that they realized that they needed to ask Him for forgiveness. That they needed to change how they lived. I believe that most of the people in his congregation joined his church from some other church and that his percentage of converts is very small. He is an easy on the ears preacher. Well said, I agree to this to a certain extent. He always tells you to forget past mistakes and move on. But like you said I think we need to hold ourselves accountable in some situations...

Anybody here watch any of his preachings on TV? I strated watching him a few years ago and have read both of his books. He always has uplifting messages and stories to share. Iv'e heard from a few people that Joel doesn't preach from the bible, but I havn't ever heard him misuse a quote or anything...
